[Update: October 7th, 2016]: In the early hours of Thursday, a powerful earthquake hit Balochistan’s Quetta. The magnitude was measured to be 5.9 richter scale. It even led to the disruption of the electricity supply. The healthcare workers had to treat the injured with the aid of flashlights.
The fatalities amounted to 20 while the number of injured individuals crossed 200.

Balochistan home minister Mir Zia Ullah Langau said, “We are receiving information that 20 people have been killed due to the earthquake.”
Adding to this, Suhail Anwar Hashmi, a senior provincial government official, said that the dead included six children and a woman.
He further added, “We are soon sending helicopters to the area to help support the rescue operation and to evacuate injured.”

[March 13, 2016]: A powerful quake shakes up parts of Balochistan including Chaman and Quetta, as reported by ARY News. As per the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake was a 5.4 magnitude with Qila Abdullah near the Pak-Afghan border as the epicenter.
No life or property loss has been reported as of yet.
The tremors created major panic amongst the residents making them leave their houses and buildings in a rush.
6 people were killed previously as the earthquake jolted parts of Pakistan. 5 people also died in different parts of the northeastern province of KPK and almost 20 houses were damaged.
