Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced today that the city will get a new ropeway transport system soon. The project is in its planning stage with the CM ordering a feasibility study to be prepared.
Routes
As part of the study, three main routes in Lahore are currently being considered for the chairlift system:
- Imamia Colony to Railway Station
- Jehangir Tomb to Greater Iqbal Park and
- Jalo Mor to Thokar Niaz Baig
Transit System From Islamabad to Murree
Besides Lahore, another ropeway framework is additionally being considered amongst Islamabad and Murree. On the off chance that the venture turns into a reality, people can travel from Islamabad to Murree in a chairlift, at the same time viewing the scene from above.
