careem bus

Careem, one of the most popular ride-hailing service providers in Pakistan have secretly expanded its new service within the country in a low-key ceremony.

To expand their operations, Careem launched Careem Bus in Karachi according to menabytes.

However, the service provider did not comment when the publication reached out for an official statement.

Furthermore, it is being speculated that this launch is to give Careem an edge over new rivals SWVL and Airlift who have established a strong foothold in Pakistan.

The service will allow users to search or browse through different routes, select the pick-up and drop-off points from the list of stops, and book their seats respectively.

Furthermore, the source reports that the Careem Bus will operate on 10 routes in Karachi for now. All of them operating at 10 AM (only) on the weekdays. The app also indicates that the rides currently can be booked for PKR 1.

Careem

Pakistan is the fourth country for Careem Bus to launch. Careem is operating these vehicles in its main ride-hailing app (Dabba) in different cities of Pakistan, however, users are required to hire the whole car.

There’s a chance they might use the same cars and captains for this new system. It is not yet confirmed.
