Chunky jewellery is an easy and modern way of keeping a look on point, as proven by Loewe, whose spiral bangles were layered and heaped upon the models’ wrists. The house also went big on gold chokers, which were worn over high necklines for a result that was both antiquated and contemporary.
Balmain was another fashion house to embrace the choker, integrating shiny metallic and corrugated plastic versions into several ensembles. Creative Director Olivier Rousteing’s collection was also replete with tight thigh-high suede boots, ticking off an additional key trend of the season.
Rick Owens followed suit with conceptual thigh-high trainers in black and white that took ‘athleisure’ to a whole new level.
