Korean electronics giant LG is launching a new TV but there’s no buzz about it.
The LG 32LH520D broadcasts ultrasonic sound waves as well as viewers’ favorite shows. And these waves should be enough to scare mosquitos away in the same way that a high-pitched whistle drives dogs crazy because only they can hear it.
The integrated Mosquito Away Technology, as LG calls it, has in recent years become a staple feature of its air conditioning range, but this is the first time it’s been built into a television.
As well as keeping bugs at bay, the 32-inch set, designed in India and initially only for Indian customers, boasts a full HD display and a number of built-in video games.
