The famous five, London-based, English-Irish boy band, One Direction’s member, Zayn Malik has formally left the band and the fans around the world are (literally) crying buckets out.
One Direction announced the departure of the star from the band on their official Facebook Page stating Zayn’s reasons for quitting was that he wanted to lead a life “normally” as a 22-year-old. Take a look at the post:

The rest of the band appears to be saddened by his departure as well.
The decision was apparently triggered by rumors surfacing of him cheating on his fiancé, Perrie Edwards.
Zain’s father, Yaser Malik, is a British Pakistani and the pop star has supported the Palestinain cause and the Pakistani cricket team Worldcup in his tweets in the past few years as well, thus he has a fan following in Pakistan as well.
