Turkey and Pakistan enjoy a warm and cordial relationship based on mutual trust and respect since the independence. This August event can be described as the manifestation of this lasting bond of the two nations and a part of the airline’s long-standing commitment to strengthen its ties with the local community, particularly the Pakistani air cargo industry, which has aided Turkish Airlines in successfully becoming one of the local market leaders.

Addressing on this grand occasion, Senior Vice President Cargo Mr. Ali Turk, who wore a traditional Sindhi cap and Ajrak, said, “Pakistan’s economy is dynamic and growing aggressively. In fact we believe Pakistan will be amongst the top economies in the next 5 years! We understand that the trade relationship between Pakistan and Turkey is far behind its potential, which is why we are looking to double our investment in Islamabad and Lahore, and also plan on giving tough competition to local players by expanding our cargo operations in Pakistan”.

Prior to formal inauguration of sumptuous Iftar Party, senior officials of Turkish Airlines, which included Mr. Ali Turk, Senior Vice President Cargo and Mr. Huseyin Ceyhan, Regional Cargo Director Asia Pacific, who were visiting from Istanbul, the hub of Turkish Airlines operations, and Mr. Fatih Atacan Temel, General Manager [North] from their Pakistan office, welcomed the guests with warmth and affection.

Last but not least, two lucky winners were also announced at the end of the event through balloting among the participants by random selection of visiting cards.

Winners were offered two return tickets to Turkey that became the talk of the town as the hashtag #TurkishAirlines became one of the top trending topics on popular social media networking website Twitter.
