In the video, he talks about how the road leading to the North campus is in dire need to renovation. It has mud tracks and sewage water standing on it. Students who walk to university often have to wade their feet through the water or step in the mud to reach the university.

Students can, many times, feel demotivated if they have to walk through such a place to reach the campus. The road is quite wide and can accommodate sidewalks as well.
It is also quite vital that once the road has been renovated, then it is kept intact by the people living around it. This means no littering, breaking or tampering with the road. It might not seem like a major thing when looking at the big picture, but it certainly holds a lot of value to countless people. The alumni from the university feel the need to repair the road.
If there is a prestigious educational institute present, then it should be kept well-maintained, even in the surroundings.
