The film has created major buzz amongst fans after revealing the initial teaser and poster showing Salman pile on weight and a Haryana accent.
The movie stars Anushka Sharma, centering around the wrestler Sultan Ali Khan; the wrestler has global fame at different championships like 2010 Commonwealth Games New Delhi and 2012 London Olympics

The Dabangg Khan shared first look teaser of Anushka Sharma from his much-awaited movie Sultan on her birthday. Salman Khan gifted the one-minute long video to the fans of Anushka on Sunday wishing her a happy birthday.
Anushka is seen fighting and defeating two fighters in the teaser video as Salman introduces the wrestler in a voice over. Anushka’s fierce look and facial expressions show the hard work and effort the star has put into this character.
In reference to Anushka’s preparation for Sultan, it was revealed by a source earlier; “She (Anushka) has been training with a team of wrestlers, who have been brought down from Delhi for a six-week period. They will help her get into the skin of her character. They have been training with her for four hours every day.”

Salman Khan’s sports-centric film Sultan’s teaser trailer is out now! Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie is all set to hit the theaters on Eid 2016. The teaser shows Khan’s chiseled body complete with a mustache to give him a desi wrestler look.
The clip which transports the listeners to a wrestling match, all set to start, and features “Haryana ki shaan, Haryana ki jaan” Sultan Ali Khan.With the rust filled background, the film looks like a hard hitting one. The movie was earlier to clash with SRK and Mahira Khan starrer Raees but according to the recent gossip, Raees has been postponed by a few weeks.
“Shah Rukh’s Raees is not clashing with Salman’s Sultan after all. In fact, after what the clash of Shah Rukh’s Dilwale with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani did to the former, Shah Rukh was opposed to the Eid clash. It was producer Ritesh Sidhwani who insisted they won’t budge,” a source told Pinkvilla.
