The ongoing Indian government campaign “SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN” (Campaign Clean India) initiated by Indian PM Narinder Modi is getting viral not only in India but globally too.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi admired Bollywood Hunk Salman Khan for being part of a good cause i.e. “to clean India” and anticipated that, this act of Salman will lead an enormous population to take part in this campaign.
In a statement on twitter PM Modi said, “The effort by Salman Khan is a significant, one that will inspire several people to join Swachh Bharat Mission”.
Salman Khan helped the nation by cleaning a part of Karjat in Mumbai on 21st October 2014. He shared the pictures on his social accounts with his entire team including Neil Nitin Mukesh sweeping the ground with broom.
He posted on his Facebook Page; “I nominate the following for Swachh Bharat campaign and request them to further nominate 9 more people. First, I nominate my fans on Facebook and followers on Twitter. Each one of us can make a difference. And I nominate Aamir Khan, Azim Premji, Chanda Kochhar, Omar Abdullah, Pradeep Dhoot, Rajat Sharma, Rajinikanth & Vineet Jain”.
Modi launched the campaign officially on October 2, 2014 i.e. Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary at Rajghat, New Delhi, where he wielded broom and cleaned a road. It is the India’s biggest ever cleanliness campaign.
Now let’s wait for the other Bollywood Stars to accept this challenge and further nominate.
