Former pace bowler Umar Gul recently shared a vivid account of an unexpected altercation he had with fans, which turned physical at a bustling Lahore restaurant. Speaking on a private channel’s talk show, the revered pacer recounted an incident involving two fans and himself.

Gul recounted the incident involving his cousin’s visit from Peshawar to Lahore. They ventured into a crowded eatery where they were ushered to a table by the waitstaff. While awaiting their meal, two eager fans approached them, seeking Umar Gul’s autograph.

Requesting a pen for the autograph, Gul was met with an unanticipated taunt from one fan, criticizing the absence of a pen despite his cricketing status. Although the other fan had the pen but was only willing to give it only if the cricketer took his autograph instead.

According to what is being said, the film is being shown all across Pakistan. However, people in Sindh are feeling a bit upset as to the screening of the film. As you know that the censorship board present in each province decides what part of the film to censor or not. It also decides if a film should be aired or should it not release in the country at all.

Chikkar Facing Biasness

According to sources, it seems that when the film was screened in Punjab, it wasn’t censored which means there was no scene cut or censorship in the film. However, when the screened in Sindh, then the film was censored quite a lot in many places (we’re talking about mere dialogues here).

Punjab is the province that censored scenes from Oppenheimer and has often known to ban or delay releases of many movies. Barbie was almost banned in the province, and so were a couple of other ones. Cricket legend Wasim Akram and his wife Shaniera Akram shared warm wishes on New year with their fans through a selfie posted on Akram’s official Instagram account. However, what was intended as a cheerful greeting took an unexpected turn when an inappropriate comment surfaced in the comments section.

A fan made an unsuitable remark about his wife, triggering a swift and fiery response from the former Pakistani pacer. Wasim Akram, visibly agitated, took to the comments to address the individual. He expressed his disappointment and questioning the appropriateness of their words. He even went as far as expressing a desire to meet the fan’s parents to discuss their upbringing.

During Sydney Test against Australia, Saim Ayub faced both highs and lows in his debut match. Ayub, stepping in for Imam-ul-Haq, encountered a duck in the first innings courtesy of Josh Hazlewood but showcased glimpses of his potential in the second innings.

Saim Ayub played a promising innings of 33 runs from 53 balls with the help of three boundaries and one six before Nathan Lyon ended his entertaining knock.

Amidst the acclaim for his spirited second-innings performance, former captain and coach Misbah-ul-Haq highlighted a crucial area for improvement in Ayub’s batting technique.

Misbah, known for his astute cricketing insights, lauded Ayub’s temperament and attacking style against the Australian bowlers but pointed to a notable flaw concerning his front leg movement.

In a shared video on his official Facebook account, the 49-year-old cricketing authority commended Ayub’s talent, foreseeing the young cricketer’s potential to dominate and deliver consistently for Pakistan. However, he also pointed out a flaw in his batting which can be sorted with a slight adjustment.

“He displayed excellent temperament, attacking the Australian bowlers during his brief innings. It seems he can assert dominance over the opposition and perform consistently for Pakistan,” Misbah-ul-Haq said in the video.

“A minor adjustment is necessary in Ayub’s technique concerning the fuller deliveries from both pacers and spinners, as his front leg tends to move across slightly, potentially causing issues. His dismissal hints at a similar concern,” Misbah added.

Saim Ayub will be next seen in Pakistan’s upcoming T20I series against New Zealand in Kiwis’ own backyard.

Healthcare professionals are expected to keep an air of professionalism in their work as well, and violence in any form is never supported. It is important to hear the entire story, though, but punching the patient seems like quite drastic action. In the video going viral, a surgeon punched a patient straight up!

Yes, in a Chinese hospital, an 82-year-old woman underwent eye surgery, where the surgeon reportedly punched her head multiple times, a disturbing incident caught on surveillance in 2019. Hitting someone is considered quite an unethical and wrong measure, and to hit a patient is even more wrong. The person is coming to you for a cure for their ailment and they are being met with violence.

The patient, under local anesthesia, spoke a local dialect and struggled to comprehend the surgeon’s warnings in Mandarin, leading to her moving her head and eyeballs during the procedure. Thus, it can be considered as a case of miscommunication because the patient themselves were confused. Hospital authorities explained that the surgeon’s actions were a response to the patient’s attempt to touch her eyes, which could have resulted in infection in the sterile surgical area.

However, that still does not give the Surgeon the permission to act violently, it could have been met with a more subtle response, a less violent response. The patient is not only going through sickness but they are also quite elderly, which makes this action all the more wrong on every level.

The hospital issued a public apology to the elderly woman and provided compensation of 500 Yuan (₹5,800), acknowledging the surgeon’s rough treatment during the emergency. Despite the incident going viral on Chinese social media, the patient’s son asserted that there are no medical reports establishing a connection between the assault and his mother’s reported blindness in the left eye.

How can people trust healthcare professionals to not do this after such an act? One can only hope that you raise a hand to scratch and itch and not get smacked across the face for doing so.
