Mickey Arthur, the former team director of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is considering a departure from his current position. According to reports, Arthur is contemplating this decision and is anticipated to make an official announcement post consultation with the PCB soon.
Mickey Arthur served as Pakistan’s team director during the ICC World Cup 2023 held in India. However, after the team’s ouster from the group stage, the PCB Management Committee released foreign coaches from their duties.
PCB asked Arthur, along with head coach Grant Bradburn, batting coach Andrew Puttick and Morne Morkel, who served as the bowling coach, to serve at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). However, Morkel and Puttick resigned with latter securing a new role with the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB).
Grant Bradburn also bid farewell to PCB yesterday, after two months of the ICC World Cup 2023. Having taken charge after Saqlain Mushtaq, Bradburn oversaw significant events like Test series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka and the 50-over World Cup in India. His next endeavor leads him to Glamorgan, where he’ll assume responsibilities across various formats starting next month.
Bradburn took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his departure update. Expressing gratitude for the enriching experience with Pakistan cricket, he fondly acknowledged the achievements and collaborations during his tenure, extending well-wishes for the team’s future endeavors.
