Cricket legend Wasim Akram and his wife Shaniera Akram shared warm wishes on New year with their fans through a selfie posted on Akram’s official Instagram account. However, what was intended as a cheerful greeting took an unexpected turn when an inappropriate comment surfaced in the comments section.
A fan made an unsuitable remark about his wife, triggering a swift and fiery response from the former Pakistani pacer. Wasim Akram, visibly agitated, took to the comments to address the individual. He expressed his disappointment and questioning the appropriateness of their words. He even went as far as expressing a desire to meet the fan’s parents to discuss their upbringing.
“You think that’s the appropriate thing to say? I wish to meet your parents and tell them what have they created total douche,” Wasim Akram commented.
The cricketer’s Instagram post was originally meant as a heartfelt wish for his fans on New Year’s Eve. Akram warmly extended his new year wishes to his fans and the cricket community.
“Here’s hoping for a better year! Wishing you and your families all the love, safety, and prosperity for 2024, and all the best from my family to yours,” captioned the post on his Instagram handle.
