not-virat-kohli-shadab-khan-names-favorite-indian-batter

All-rounder Shadab Khan made an intriguing revelation about his favorite players from the Indian cricket team during his recent press conference in Hyderabad, India. Surprisingly, Virat Kohli was not his answer as his favorite Indian batter.

Shadab Khan’s admiration was reserved for the Indian captain and hard-hitting opening batter, Rohit Sharma.

Khan spoke of Sharma’s formidable presence on the field enthusiastically, emphasizing the immense challenge he poses to bowlers once he finds his rhythm.

“I like Rohit Sharma very much. He is very dangerous once he gets set and it is very difficult to dismiss him,” expressed Khan, shedding light on the dynamic skills of the Indian skipper.

This disclosure sent ripples across social media, given the widely recognized camaraderie between Shadab Khan and Virat Kohli. Their on-field encounters in the Asia Cup 2023 had ignited the internet, making this revelation all the more surprising.

As for his favorite Indian bowler, Shadab Khan named Kuldeep Yadav. The affinity stems from Khan’s own role as a leg-spinner.

“As far as bowler is concerned, I like Kuldeep [Yadav] since I’m a leg-spinner. He is in good form and bowls well despite flat tracks in India,” he added.

Shadab Khan also shed light on his preparation for the ICC World Cup 2023 and expressed his desire to perform at his best.

“I admit I haven’t been in good form lately, and it drained me mentally as I was playing continuously but could not perform at my best,” said Shadab Khan. “However, the past is in the past. The rest I got has made me feel better and I hope to perform at my best during the World Cup for my team with a new mindset.”

Pakistan is currently in Hyderabad, where they are gearing up to kickstart their World Cup 2023 campaign against the Netherlands on October 6.
