McDonald’s Canada came up with an innovative out-of-home campaign which is offering an opportunity to all the French Fries lovers to win a free medium fries. Conceptualized and created by Cossette, the game connects two smartphones users through a variety of unique URLs to interactive digital screens located in Dufferin Mall in Toronto. A giant box of McDonald’s fries is featured on the screen and as players’ swipe; digital fries fly from the screen and drop into a fry box on their phones. Within 10 seconds, if the players are able to fill in their boxes, then they will receive a time-limited digital coupon on their phone that can be redeemed at any of the McDonald’s restaurants in Dufferin Mall. With this interactive digital campaign designed to engage consumers, McDonald’s Canada’s efforts have become one of the most interesting campaigns so far.
