The sweltering heat has the citizens of Karachi on tenterhooks as the warm weather shows no signs of cooling down. On Thursday, the temperature touched 41 degree Celsius with a real feel of 45 degree Celsius.

The good news is that now high mercury levels will take a break and the heatwave will come to a halt from today, Friday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological department spokesperson in Karachi, Dr Abdul Rashid revealed that the southwestern sea breeze will resume in the city while the temperature from Saturday will decrease to 36°C.

A report from Karachi Weather Update states the same and we just can not be more happy.

However, the bad news is that the heatwave is expected to make a comeback from 19th October.
