He has already turned the Pakistani audience an “Aashiq” of his dramas and now everyone’s favorite in the entertainment industry, Faysal Quraishi will soon be seen in ARY Digital’s upcoming project “Aashiq Hussain”.
A production of Big Bang entertainment, the drama’s director rein is held by Anjum Shehzad with Sana Fahad as the writer, the lady also behind the story of ARY’s popular drama “Koi Nahi Apna”.
Shedding away Bashar’s brooding persona and suave style, the much versatile Quraishi has donned a look of a jaunty desi man with messy hair, Chevron moustache and neon-bright Kurta Shalwar for his role as “Aashiq” in the drama.

“My character, Aashiq Hussain hails from a fairly low-income family. On the surface, he leads a simple life with his wife and six kids. However, you soon learn that he is hiding a second marriage from them. True to his name, Aashiq sahab wears his heart on his sleeve and can impulsively decide to get married at any time,” told the actor to an interview to Dawn News
The leading lady starring beside Faysal Quraishi is the Lollywood actress Saima. The supporting cast includes Zahlay Sarhadi, Moomal Khalid, Saboor Ali, and Afshan Quraishi.
While not much is revealed about Aashiq Hussain’s plot, Faisal apparently has high hopes with the script and drama.
“It will make them laugh but it will also make them cry,” reveals Quraishi.
The drama is rumored to replace ARY’s most watched drama of the season “Chup Raho” to be aired Tuesday.
