Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, daughter of the former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, got engaged to the son of a US-based businessman, Mahmood Chaudhry. The ceremony was held at Bilawal House, Karachi, in the form of a small ceremony with a limited number of guests, mostly the closest relatives of the couple adhering to the SOPs as a precaution.

Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, could not attend the ceremony after being tested positive for the Corona Virus. He has confined himself to a specific portion of Bilawal House and is currently in quarantine. He attended the ceremony via video call and tweeted the picture on his Twitter with hearts, expressing his love for the newly engaged couple.

Former President Pakistan and the bride’s father, Asif Ali Zardari, who himself had been hospitalized due to illness, attended the ceremony for a brief period of time at Bilawal House.
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari later tweeted about being emotional on her big day, thanking people for their well-wishes and asking them to remember her late mother and family in prayers while signaling towards a post-covid ceremony to celebrate the event with distant friends, family, and party workers.
