Down’s syndrome is not a rare occurrence but in Pakistan, there children with special needs go unnoticed. To mark World Down Syndrome Day, Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) dedicated a song titled ‘Aao Humaray Saath Chalo’, to all incredible children and their families.
The video starts off with a statistics saying that 225K people live with the condition every day in Pakistan.
The main idea behind the video is to include everyone with the slogan ‘Inclusion is everyone’s right.’
The song is sung by Ali Hamza and features big name celebrities like Sarwat Gillani, Bushra Ansari, Momal sheikh, Javed Sheikh, Sheema Kermani, Ahsan Khan, Anoushey Ashraf and Ehtesham Ansari.
The video encourages the audience to understand that this condition doesn’t define thousands of people and to see them as normal people. To spread awareness about the issue, these celebrities held up empowering messages for these wonderful people!
