While the catastrophic earthquake of 8.1 magnitude rocked Pakistan, Afghanistan and India, the tech tycoon Google has rolled out its Person Finder tool to help track missing people lost in the terrible tragedy.
Via Person Finder, friends and families of the victims can submit information of the missing members and request notifications on their whereabouts. The application collects updates from emergency respondents and individual users who input information for a misplaced individual or person who has been found.

This is Google’s attempt to help in rescue efforts of the earthquake via its crowd-sourced database of missing people. The tool has turned out to be a great help in earlier natural calamities that shook the world.
Initially, Person Finder was launched in 2010 following the destructive earthquake in Haiti. Previously, Google opened the easy tech resource when a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Nepal in April 2015.
