Last night, Pakistanis got the shock of their lives as the nation’s beloved cooking expert, Zubaida Tariq breathed her last in Karachi after a brief round of illness.
Her funeral place will be held after Jumma prayers in Defence Housing Authority’s (DHA), Sultan Masjid.
Being a household name, there is no soul who could not relate to the media personality as she was surely a part of everybody’s childhood.
Tariq was surely no less than a legend and not your average T.V chef, who was ever ready to help those in need of her solutions to daily problems.
The Queen of spices made her debut with Dalda ka Dastarkhawan and since then, she has found a permanent abode in the hearts of millions of fans all over the world.
Zubaida Apa always had a solution for everything!
Being Pakistan’s first celebrity mentor, her culinary advice and friendly tips will pass on from generations to generations.
Just 4 days back on New Year’s eve, Zubaida Appa sent a loving note to the whole of Pakistan and urged them to make 2018 a year of change for the better.

Zubaida Appa’s last message was a plea to keep her city, Karachi clean and stressed upon the importance of education.
