The Beta version of the application lets you pin 3 chat to the top so that you can prioritise your chats likewise. You will no longer have to worry about mom’s missed messages, bestie’s secret leak, and other social crisis.
Previously, we have seen a similar feature before on Facebook, where it allows you to pin an important post or status to the top of your profile, and even on Twitter. However, as of now, no social application like an instant messenger i.e Facebook Messenger has this feature yet.
The feature is still being tested and will be rolling out soon for all WhatsApp users who are using version 2.17.162 or later.
How to Pin WhatsApp Chat
If you want to pin an important or your favourite WhatsApp chat, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Open WhatsApp messenger on your Android or iOS phone
STEP 2: Long press on the most contacted chat
STEP 3: Pin option will appear right next to the delete, mute, and archive icons at the top right corner of the screen
STEP 4: Click on the Pin icon, after which the chat will be pinned at the top of the screen
After successfully testing the feature, Facebook-owned WhatsApp is expected to eventually roll out the feature to both Android and iOS. However the no information on when the Pin feature might official release
