Is Now The Right Time To Buy An E-Bike In Pakistan?

Is Now The Right Time To Buy An E-Bike In Pakistan?

Both firms have a devoted following of clients who are prepared to pay a premium for their products, and it is expected that this trend will continue. E-bikes have evolved as a popular and environmentally beneficial means of transportation as the globe strives towards a greener future. Yet, in Pakistan, the decision of whether or not to purchase an e-bike at this moment is hard.

On the surface, e-bikes appear to be a fantastic concept. They are ecologically friendly, inexpensive, and simple to use. They are ideal for individuals who wish to go small distances while avoiding the pollution that plagues many of our cities. Yet, there are other important considerations to consider before purchasing an e-bike in Pakistan.

Lack of infrastructure

The first consideration is a lack of infrastructure. The roads in Pakistan are not meant for bicycles, let alone e-bikes. There are few dedicated bike lanes, and those that do exist are frequently in disrepair. As a result, e-bikes must share the road with automobiles, buses, and trucks, which can be hazardous for novice riders. It may not be safe to ride an e-bike on Pakistani roads unless there is a large investment in cycling infrastructure.

Unsatisfactory quality

Another factor to consider is the quality of e-bikes on the market in Pakistan. Many of the e-bikes on the market are of low quality and are imported from China. They frequently have short battery life and are prone to failure. Due to the scarcity of dependable e-bikes in Pakistan, purchasing one might be dangerous. A mechanical failure or malfunction might leave you stuck on the side of the road, far from assistance.

High cost

The cost of e-bikes is also an important consideration. While e-bikes are often less expensive than vehicles, they are nevertheless a substantial investment. In Pakistan, the typical price of an e-bike is between Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 250,000, making it out of reach for many individuals. Given the present economic circumstances, purchasing an e-bike may not be prudent at this time. Additionally, maintenance and repair will be more expensive than the money saved on fuel.

Also, it is crucial to emphasize how Pakistan is yet to develop for electric vehicles in terms of charging stations and inexpensive power. Due to hefty import duties and energy costs, E motorcycles can be a financial drain.

The absence of infrastructure, low quality of current e-bikes, high expense, and harsh weather conditions make purchasing an e-bike problematic at this time. Unless these difficulties are solved, traditional forms of mobility, such as vehicles or public transit, may be preferable. While not as ecologically friendly as e-bikes, they are more practical and safer modes of transportation in Pakistan.

Experts Highlight Crucial Competencies For Students At Cambridge Principal’s Forum

Karachi, February 27, 2023, for the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak, Cambridge International conducted Cambridge Principals Forums in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad this month for educators in Pakistan. The gatherings in three cities brought together more than 509 leaders and educators from 411 Cambridge schools to debate the theme “Ready for the World.”

The keynote address was given by Dr. Mark Winterbottom, a professor of education at the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of Education, and his topic was “Positive classrooms, positive students: building a good learning environment.” The importance of fostering student and teacher autonomy, how it aids in the development of employable skills, and how it motivates teachers to foster a healthy learning environment for pupils in the classroom were among the major subjects covered by participants.

A useful panel discussion titled “Creating Better Futures: Developing World-Ready Skills in Students” was held after the keynote address. Thought leaders in education, business professionals, and students from prestigious universities participated in the panels in all three cities. They shared their perspectives on the abilities students should develop in order to face future challenges and how education can support the development of these abilities.

“As our world rapidly changes, we must equip our students with essential skills that transcend academic achievements and prepare them for real-life experiences,” said, Uzma Yousuf, Country Director, Pakistan at Cambridge International. “By instilling these skills early on in a student’s education journey, we are empowering them to traverse and solve the challenges of the future with confidence and resilience. Now, more than ever, we must prioritize the development of these skills in our students”, she added.

Once more, Cambridge is setting educational records. They made the exciting announcement of establishing an Early Years curriculum specifically created for kids between the ages of 3 and 6 at the most recent Principals Forum. This internationally benchmarked curriculum, which was created by specialists and is based on cutting-edge research, will provide young learners with a strong foundation to build upon as they go through their educational journey. Early skill acquisition will better prepare pupils to face problems and succeed in all facets of their lives, from school to job and beyond. This new Early Years curriculum is no exception to Cambridge’s commitment to raising the bar for education.

The goal of Cambridge is to help students build lifelong talents, not simply academic credentials. During a panel discussion during the event, leaders from universities and other sectors backed the Cambridge concept as well. The panelists all agreed that schools may establish a holistic environment that promotes growth, creativity, and innovation by integrating extracurricular activities with a structured learning process. The panelists emphasized that in addition to helping students gain new information and skills, the educational process should also help them realize their full potential and open up a world of opportunities.

One attendee emphasized the significance of these occasions by saying, “By coming together at events like this, we have the opportunity to exchange our experiences and viewpoints, and to learn from one another about how we may best prepare our children for success in the real world.”

Annual gatherings known as Cambridge Principals Forums give school administrators the chance to network, share best practices, interact with the Cambridge International team, and learn more about Cambridge’s current and future work with Pakistani schools. The British Council provided schools with updates on their efforts to administer exams to pupils in Pakistan as part of this year’s festivities.

Abolishing One-Child Policy: Is China Panicking?

With more than 1.4 billion people and 9.6 million kilometers of territory, China is one of the largest nations in the world. China’s rapid economic development and a rise in individualism and smaller families have diminished older people’s social standing. The number of elderly individuals has dramatically increased at the same time as this development.

Although many nations are dealing with an aging population, China presently has the biggest number of senior citizens worldwide. China had 254 million people who were 60 or older in 2019. This figure is projected to rise to 402 million by 2040, or about 28% of the population. The impact of these developments on China’s health is significant, with non-communicable disease risk and burden increasing along with the demand for health and social care systems. How did China adjust?

One Child Policy And Its Impacts

Starting in 1980, introduced by Deng Xiaoping, China’s one-child policy was severely enforced, after the population grew from 540 million in 1949 to 969 million in 1980. Fines and frequently forced abortions as penalties for those who disobeyed them. Prior to enacting a three-child policy in May 2021, China formally terminated its one-child policy in January 2016 in favor of a two-child program. It limited the majority of couples to having only one child, and for years, the government claimed it was a major contributor to the nation’s economic boom. If they were discovered to have more than one kid, employees of government-affiliated organizations and university staff ran the possibility of losing their jobs.

Second children could not be registered in the national household system if their parents did not pay a fine, which prevented them from having a legal existence and denied them access to social services like health care and education. Due to a long-standing social preference for boys, the policy resulted in sex-selective abortions or infanticides that targeted female babies. The one-child policy was widely understood to mean one birth per household, which meant that mothers who delivered two or more children simultaneously would not be punished. According to numerous stories in Chinese and foreign media, this loophole encouraged mothers to use fertility medications to have multiple pregnancies.

In an effort to address its aging population and diminishing workforce, China formally repealed its one-child policy on January 1, 2016, when a bill enabling married couples to have a second child was signed into law. There has also been a progressive easing of other restrictions on having children. Guangdong, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Hainan, and Fujian officials were ordered to alter the regulations that allowed employers to terminate employees who had additional children in October 2017.

The term “family planning” was also dropped by President Xi Jinping in 2017, who instead said that China would support “the coordination of birthing programs with other economic and social policies. The party work report didn’t mention “birth control” for the first time in close to 30 years.

Why The Three-Child Policy?

Beijing declared at the end of May 2021 that it would permit each couple to have three children after China’s 2020 census revealed that Chinese women had just 12 million infants in 2020, down from 14.65 million in 2019. China’s fertility rate in 2020 was 1.3 children per woman, which was lower than the 2.1 replacement level required for a stable population. According to surveys, the average number of children a Chinese woman was willing to have in 2020 was 1.8, according to China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The 2020 census results indicated that while China’s population continued to rise to 1.412 billion people in 2020, the proportion of people in their working years decreased while that of the elderly rose, prompting calls for China to “completely open up childbearing.”

Many young Chinese are debating whether to have any children, much less than one, due to a lack of cheap daycare, growing living expenses, and demanding work schedules, among other factors. China’s national birth rate and population were already beginning to decline, and some experts had previously warned of serious repercussions.
According to official figures, the birth rate in Beijing, which has a population of roughly 21 million, fell by 24.3% in 2020 compared to the previous year.

The government predicted that China’s population will reach its peak in 2027 in its most current estimate, released in November 2020.

Ushna Shah Exposes ‘Fashion Blogger’ For Leaking Her Pictures

February 27, 2023. Just after Ushna Shah got done with responding to hate comments regarding her wedding dress, she’s now dealing with a blogger who violated and harassed her at her own wedding. Ushna Shah recently got married to her forever lover, Hamza Amin. Her wedding has been the talk of the town ever since it happened. Famous people from the industry were invited to the barat and rukhsati event. Popular singer Herbie Sahara also performed a concert for the young newlyweds. With these events being public and where all of Ushna’s celebrity friends were invited, the nikkah was a private event.

Apparently, an “influencer” violated Ushna and her family’s privacy and git into the nikkah event with a plus-one photographer and a drone. When a celebrity is getting married, some people don’t understand the necessity to respect their privacy, especially if they request it. Have a look.

On Monday, the actor used Instagram to publicly embarrass the blogger for failing to abide by the conditions that were stipulated in the invitation.“I am disgusted and feel violated. AB Lakhany, of Moovyshoovy was invited out of obligation as I have known him for years and he happened to be at the office where we were designing invitations. His invite said strictly no plus one,” she wrote. “He was then sent a memo along with other guests to not record personal moments, especially the nikah. Not only did he bring a plus one, but he also brought a photographer without permission [and] lied to my family that I had allowed this. That photographer then sent exclusive unapproved photos to various [media] portals.” says Ushna.

She claimed that he also brought a drone and “snuck” it into the exclusive nikah enclosure on the water where he recorded the signing, leaving her “in tears” later. “This man has no morals, no ethics, and has no right to be employed for any position. I invited him out of respect, but he gave no sign of it. I am disgusted beyond belief,” she continued.

Now that’s one way to ruin someone’s wedding.

Pakistani actress Ushna Shah appears on Urdu television. She is one of the industry’s most stunning women who have consistently been in the news for something they do or says.  She is incredibly outspoken and opinionated which is why there have been multiple times when fans have not agreed with her and haven’t hesitated to show it either. She is well-known for nailing every role she plays and also for rocking both eastern and western cultures through her style. Ushna Shah recently declared her love for her beau Hamza Amin on Instagram, and the two later attended their romantic baat pakki celebration with mostly family.

The star also proposed pictures of her dreamy sunset beach proposal. And fans had been waiting for the grand wedding ever since. Then, earlier this weekend, glimpses of their wedding made their way to Instagram through different celebrities’ Instagram stories. Although no one had seen the real-time photos of the couple, speculations about the setting, theme, the bride’s dress, and literally everything had already begun. However, here’s the video that Ushna posted on her Instagram of her big day.

Several famous people from the Pakistani film industry attended the wedding. Hamza Amin was dressed in an off-white sherwani, while Ushna Shah was wearing a bright red lehnga with absolutely beautiful threadwork from top to bottom that was designed by Wardha Saleem.

The fans immediately had a lot to say about Ushna Shah’s bridal dress. Many were of the opinion that the bride looked extremely “Indian” and some even said she looked “Mangolian”. People on Instagram were also not happy about the dress being so revealing and for not being traditional enough. Here are some comments.

Multiple comments like these were seen under Ushna’s wedding posts. Later she even responded to the hate she was receiving. Have a look at her story.

The rest of the night, Instagram was flooded with more videos and pictures of the big wedding. Herbie Sahara, a well-known international performer, gave a performance during her wedding. For Ushna Shah’s wedding, the musician performed Billo Ni Tera Laal Ghaghra, one of his most well-known songs. She also danced to the song’s and her video surfaced on the internet and which only upset the public more. Here it is.

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2299552600244868

Ushna Shah received criticism for “planning” an Indian-style wedding and for the public’s disapproval of her dance. Her dancing was also made fun of by Facebook users. They claimed that she is wearing too little clothing and that her dress choice is also incorrect. “She forgot to wear Mangal Sootar & Sindoor,” a Facebook user commented. They claimed that instead of a wedding, the acts were more reminiscent of an overrated concert. Many social media users claimed that she made a poor impression on her big day because she chose a horrible outfit and cut.

But at the end of the day, it was her big day, her wedding, her dress. Does being a celebrity mean having no freedom of choice even at your wedding? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Here’s Why Kraft Coffee Bags Are Such A Big Deal

If you have ever seen brown paper bags containing coffee often then there is a reason behind it. These brown paper bags are also known as kraft bags one of the most popular items to store coffee and coffee beans. Meanwhile, kraft bags are also used in other industries including cosmetics, food, and beverages with a market value of $17 billion.

Kraft Bag Composition

The word ‘kraft’ is a German word for ‘strength’. Referring to the paper’s durability, elasticity, and resistance to tearing these qualities make them one of the strongest paper packaging materials on the market.

Another great reason for using Kraft paper is its ability to be biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable. The paper is derived from wood pulp, including pine and bamboo trees. The pulp can be extracted from underdeveloped trees with the help of shaving, striping, and edgings discarded by sawmills.

The material obtained from trees is mechanically pulped or processed in acid sulfite to produce unbleached kraft paper. The best part about the process is that it requires fewer chemicals than conventional paper production making it less harmful to the environment.

Over time the production process of Kraft paper has also become more environmentally friendly. The water required for its production has been reduced drastically by 82%.

While Kraft paper is highly compatible with a majority of printing methods, the best part about it is that it can be recycled up to seven times before its biodegradation is completed.

What Makes Kraft Paper So Popular?

The biodegradability and affordability make it one of the most popular materials amongst consumers. Since human consumption is also majorly derived from environmental factors, for those who strongly prefer paper packaging over plastic, kraft is a popular choice among those customers. Research suggests that customers who are likely aware of how their use of packaging impacts the environment are more likely to use it for the betterment of society.

Shadab Khan of Islamabad United can be seen taking a shot at Peshawar Zalmi in a recent Foodpanda promo. Shadab is shown in the advertisement clutching a Foodpanda bag and peering into it. The caption says, “Peshawari Chapli Kebab,” which are well-known in Pakistan, but it also takes a subtle jab at their opponent, Peshawar Zalmi, whom they were set to meet later. In other words, the dig was intended to convey to Zalmi fans that the Uniteds are prepared to devour their competitor for a snack in the next encounter.

The advertising clearly demonstrates the two teams’ strong rivalry. It also emphasizes the need of having a strong team spirit and fan support. As the PSL heats up, supporters of both sides can expect exciting matches and unforgettable moments.

Peshawar Zalmi catching up

However, Peshawar Zalmi were not far behind in adding spice to the already highly-anticipated match. Muhammed Harris and Liam L Stone of Peshawar Zalmi have made news on social media when a photo of them carrying McDonald’s burgers leaked online. The photo, which was shared on the Peshawar Zalmi’s Facebook page, depicted the two players clutching burgers and posing for the camera.

The image was posted in reaction to a social media post by Islamabad United, which poked het Zalmi squad. The Peshawar Zalmi team intended to demonstrate that they, too, were prepared for a nail-biting game and were certain of an easy victory in the forthcoming encounter.

Regardless of how people respond to the image, it is apparent that both sides were preparing for their next battle with vigor. While spectators and fans enjoy the game on and off the field, it’s vital to remember that nice banter and genuine sportsmanship may make the festival even more enjoyable.

A ‘Rumored’ Tesla Car Has Left People Confused

A 'Rumored' Tesla Car Has Left People Confused
Source: New york Post

As a prototype was sighted on the streets of California, a new Tesla automobile has been making headlines in recent days. The automobile, which resembles a Tesla Model S, has left people perplexed and intrigued about what the business is up to.

A Tesla devotee travelling in the Fremont region of California noticed the prototype. The automobile, which looks to be a modified Model S, was seen on video by a fan. The automobile does, however, have some odd elements, such as a huge rear spoiler and a redesigned front grille.

Can it be a Model S Tesla?

The discovery of the prototype has fueled conjecture about Tesla’s plans. Others speculate that it might be a new model of the Model S with upgraded features and a fresh look. Others have theorized that it may be an entirely new vehicle, possibly a more economical choice that would appeal to a broader spectrum of buyers.

Yet, some doubters believe the prototype is a hoax or a forgery. Tesla has a history of making pranks on its fans and detractors, such as when it published a video of a Model S converted to seem like a James Bond automobile.

Others predict that the new vehicle will be a less expensive version of the Tesla Model S. This would represent a shift from the company’s prior goal of developing high-end, premium electric vehicles. Others have speculated that it may be an entirely new sort of electric vehicle, such as a smaller, more compact automobile that is more accessible to the general population.

Confusion around the purported next Tesla vehicle is nothing new for the firm. Tesla has a reputation for keeping product specifics under wraps until they are ready for distribution. This tactic has previously worked successfully for the corporation, generating a lot of excitement and expectation among fans.

Despite the confusion and conjecture around the prototype, Tesla has yet to issue an official statement regarding what the car is or what it will be used for. But, the business is notorious for keeping product information under wraps until they are ready for release, so some uncertainty around new Tesla goods is not uncommon.

Tesla has been a major force in the transition to electric vehicles, and its speculated new automobile might be a game changer for the industry. A more economical option might make electric vehicles more available to a larger spectrum of consumers, therefore hastening the transition to a more sustainable transportation system.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict the market impact until further information about the prototype is revealed. Tesla has a history of pushing boundaries and upsetting conventional industries, and the new vehicle might do the same.

The Dark Side Of Wearable Fitness Trackers You Didn’t Know About

According to a recent study published in the journal Heart Rhythm, scientists have discovered a potential problem associated with wearable devices’ bioimpedance. Meanwhile, researchers suggest that further studies are needed to better understand the effects on patients.

The use of wearable devices has become inevitable over recent years, to monitor health activities such as heart rate and blood pressure. However, with such trackers, the chances of impedance between the tracker and the functioning of cardiac implantable electronic devices are more likely pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices.

Bioimpedance Sensing Technology

Bioimpedance sensing technology emits a small, imperceptible current of electricity (microamps) into the body. Later the electrical current flows through the body, and the response is measured by the sensor to determine the person’s body composition (i.e., skeletal muscle mass or fat mass), level of stress, or vital signs, such as breathing rate.

Read More: realm Increases Its R&D Funding To Support Ever-Famous Charging Technology

“Bioimpedance sensing generated an electrical interference that exceeded Food and Drug Administration-accepted guidelines and interfered with proper CIED functioning,” says lead investigator Benjamin Sanchez Terrones, Ph.D., Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, USA.

“We have patients who depend on pacemakers to live,” said Benjamin Steinberg, a cardiac electrophysiologist who co-authored the study. “If the pacemaker gets confused by interference, it could stop working during the duration that it is confused. If that interference is for a prolonged time, the patient could pass out or worse.”

Further adding, “The results, determined through careful simulations and benchtop testing, do not convey an immediate or clear risk to patients who wear the trackers, but the different levels emitted could result in pacing interruptions or unnecessary shocks to the heart. Our findings call for future clinical studies examining patients with CIEDs and wearables.”

TikTok And Zindagi Trust Launch The Second Stage Of Digital Safety Campaign With MoITT

24 February 2023, Pakistan With the help of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, TikTok and Zindagi Trust have announced an expansion of their partnership to promote awareness of digital safety. About 50,000 beneficiaries will benefit from this renewed cooperation, which is a part of TikTok’s international efforts during Safer Internet Month, spread over 100 public schools in all of Pakistan’s provinces. A larger number of schools will have access to this campaign thanks to the Pakistan Telecom Foundation’s inclusion in this alliance.

The MoITT, which supported the Digital Safety program, was present at the signing ceremony between TikTok and Zindagi Trust. Almost 1800 students, teachers, and parents benefited from more than 20 workshops held in the first phase of this cooperation, which was started last year, at the two government schools chosen by Zindagi Trust: SMB Fatima Jinnah and Khatoon-e-Pakistan. The workshops covered a wide range of topics related to staying safe online, including safety rules and the TikTok Community Standards.

Farah Tukan, Head of Government Relations and Public Policy – Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and South Asia at TikTok, said: “We are happy to extend our partnership with Zindagi Trust, especially after the impact we were jointly able to create around digital safety awareness during the first phase. This extension is another step in the right direction for ensuring our TikTok community in Pakistan remains digitally safe.”

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque said: “To commemorate the Safer Internet month, the government deems it a priority to actively work towards providing safer digital spaces. The partnership between Zindagi Trust and TikTok is a step in the right direction for disseminating necessary awareness and guiding young people toward digital safety. We are looking forward to adding value to this partnership for the benefit of our younger generation.”

Aisha Humera Moriani, Additional Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of, the National Information Technology Board, said: “We are fully committed to building a cutting-edge digital infrastructure in Pakistan which promises a safe cyberspace and a conducive regulatory environment for everyone. By supporting this partnership between TikTok and Zindagi Trust, we aim to nurture e-governance, transparency, and financial inclusion, despite many challenges and threats associated with the internet including data privacy, security, cybercrime, and fake news.”

Dr. Aamna Pasha, the Chief Academic Officer of Zindagi Trust, added: “At Zindagi Trust, we recognize that with opportunities come risks and it is important when providing access and possibilities to our students that we also prepare and support them to understand and mitigate potential risks. This is why we are particularly proud of this collaboration and lucky to have found wonderful partners like TikTok that enable us to continue our efforts of impacting public schools.”

A digital safety toolkit will be created as part of the second phase of this joint venture to aid in educating kids, teachers, and parents about online safety. The toolkit will be a thorough manual with all the instructions you need to navigate the digital world properly using both interactive activities and theoretical knowledge. Along with teaching them responsible reporting and protection methods, specific strategies will be provided to address various online issues, such as cyberbullying, cyber harassment, scamming, fake news, etc.

These toolkits will be made available both digitally and during the digital safety workshops that will be held at various schools around Pakistan. To guarantee that awareness and learning continue beyond the current scope of the project, the Zindagi Trust team will additionally provide training and advice to public schools that seek to launch the safety toolkit in cooperation with TikTok. Building trusting relationships between parents and students will be another crucial element in ensuring that students have dependable adults to turn to in case they get into problems online and that parents have an open view of their children’s online activities.

The workshops also aim to teach parents and teachers how to use security measures on websites like TikTok to protect their kids online. They will be instructed, for example, on how to use TikTok’s Family Pairing features, which let parents link their accounts with those of their children and adolescents to impose limits like Screentime Management, Restricted Mode, and Direct Messaging.

Ramadan In Pakistan: Why Can’t We Make It Easier For Our People?

Muslims around the world observe a month of fasting during the holy month of Ramzan, also known as Ramadan. Muslims completely submit to Allah’s Will by abstaining from eating, drinking, and other self-indulgent behaviors from sunrise till nightfall. Ramadan is the month that is commemorated in Pakistan with the greatest amount of reverence, seriousness, and submission.

Fasting is viewed as a time to purify one’s mind, spirit, and body rather than as a punishment. Everyone in this place prays, fasts, and revels in the straightforward yet sublime pleasures of the holy month with joy and fervor. When people first see the Ramadan moon, the excitement begins. As individuals begin stocking up on necessities in order to prepare for the fasting month, there is a flurry of activity in the streets well into the night. While the ladies begin to prepare the Suhoor (pre-dawn) meal, the males go to the mosques for Taraweeh prayers.

Month Of Holiness Or Inflation?

For Muslims around the world, Ramadan is one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar. As far as Pakistan is concerned, it has long been customary for the inflation rate to rise during Ramadan. There are two distinct categories of Muslims in the nation who are looking forward to this month. For some people, it gives joy and benefits, while for others, it brings a significant sum of money. Yet when the cost of food reaches astronomical levels, it becomes a curse for the poor while the business community and hoarders who benefit as much as they can from this Ramadan month see it as a godsend.

The majority of Pakistanis love a hearty breakfast like paratha (buttery flaky flatbread) served with their preferred curry. Another favorite is milk-soaked jalebis, which are crispy fried orange spirals. There is always tea served after breakfast, no matter what it is. Some homes just serve the typical breakfast fare of eggs of every description or omelet, along with thick, oiled parathas. With boiled eggs, juice, bread, and tea, the groups that are concerned with their figures want to keep things light. For others who are less fortunate, it can be meals from the previous evening. The wealthy, on the other hand, might go to one of the many opulent hotels to enjoy a five- or six-course meal. Talk about being extravagant.

In addition, due to the current economic climate, the poor people who make only a few hundred dollars each day after working all day have nothing to do, their lives are in danger, and they are concerned about setting their stoves on fire. They are confined to their homes, and there is no way for them to make money. Profiteering has emerged in this difficult situation, and while cutting their prices in honor of Ramadan, profiteers have increased the cost of daily food products at alarming rates.

Even though it is a Muslim nation, there is no leniency in the pricing of highly necessary and in-demand foods during the holy month of Ramadan, including flour, gram flour, oil, potatoes, tomatoes, lemons, sugar, red chilies, chicken, watermelon, dates, etc. There is a tremendous sense of oneness during the holy month, far more so than the rest of the year, despite the fact that this country is home to so many different cultures and sects.

Less people are at work and at school, and people return home earlier so they can relax and pray until iftar, or the breaking of the fast during the Maghrib (Sunset) Prayer. However, people exploit this and take days off from work. Every home should have the intriguing aroma of frying pakoras, which are grain-flour dumplings that are fried until crisp and then consumed with hot sauces. But what about those that cannot afford these? And the rich who can order “wholeheartedly” cause nothing but waste.

Ramadan Abroad

Countries that are not Islam-dominant like the United States, India, Canada, Australia, etc have different ways of celebrating Ramadan. They may not be as enthusiastic or high in spirit because of the countries majorly being home to Christians, Hindus, or other religions.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, Islamic centers across different nations frequently encourage community members to participate in customary morning and evening prayers and ceremonies. Occasionally, they even organize family-friendly events on the weekend. It is possible to easily attend an Islamic center to perform worship there because some of them are open around the clock. The prayers are usually led by a qualified Quran reciter. In order to provide opportunities for reflection and rekindling the faith, these centers frequently also host talks in the mosque.

What Do Other Nations Do?

These skyrocketing prices have compelled poor people to break their fast with only water in Pakistan. Moreover, they have nothing to eat after breaking their fast because of the high inflation rate. However in other nations, traditional iftar dinners can be shared with others to break the fast, and many mosques and volunteers will provide beverages. Even some restaurants take part, and many families decide to break their fast their several times over the holy month. Even for non-Muslims, going to a participating restaurant is a terrific way to take part in a traditional iftar feast and get to know the neighborhood’s Muslim population. Anything from American cuisine to selections from Southeast Asia, the Arab world, Africa, and Europe may be found on the menu. It’s a true feast for the senses.

Many non-Muslims dine with their Muslim relatives or friends at this time, and numerous colleges, universities, and even eateries offer visitors to sample the cuisine and spirituality of the month. Politicians and community leaders also take advantage of this day to pay tribute to Muslims and pay visits to local centers. While there isn’t a national holiday in the nation to observe Ramadan or Eid, many Muslims nonetheless decide to take the day off from work or school to spend time with their families. The governments of many countries are also very considerate of the holy month and are lenient with Muslim citizens.

A Sense Of Unity And Togetherness

Ramadan is unique to any country. It fosters a strong sense of community and pride. It may be a time for empty bellies, but hearts are undoubtedly full. Also, it is a time when we are especially grateful for our Muslim coworkers and friends because it is challenging for them to continue with school, work, and daily life while simultaneously observing the daily fast. In recent years, the public schools in many cities of Christian countries declared that Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, and Eid Al-Adha would be honored. They also provide Muslim families and citizens with food and water. Other systems help in all other ways they can. It only makes a right to recognize this festival in the same way that Christian and Jewish holidays are recognized since Muslims are a part of almost every nation. We can only hope that other states and school systems will follow.

Do other nations do a better job of celebrating Ramadan in its true sense than Pakistan? Let us know in the comments below.

Is ChatGPT Now Writing Books On Amazon

ChatGPT has sent the world into a frenzy. The open AI bot has sparked an online debate surrounding the authenticity, originality, and accuracy of the content. In a recent update, the AI tool has now become the coauthor of almost 200 e-books on the Amazon kindle store.

ChatGPT For Amazon

The AI software has the potential to generate blocks of text from simple prompts. Brett Schickler, a salesman in Rochester, New York has used ChatGPT to pen a 30-page illustrated children’s e-book The Wise Little Squirrel: A Tale of Saving and Investing. The e-book which was created in a matter of hours is now being sold through Amazon.com Inc’s (AMZN.O) self-publishing unit.

“The idea of writing a book finally seemed possible, I thought I can do this.” Says Brett Schickler.

Reuters has noted that Amazon’s e-book store features at least 200 titles which are openly listing ChatGPT as an author or co-author. The categories include space-inspired poetry, children’s novels about penny-pinching forest animals, and how-to tutorials on using ChatGPT to supposedly improve one’s dating life.

However, with the controversial nature of ChatGPT many authors’ have not disclosed the use of the bot. Meanwhile, it is nearly impossible to get a full accounting of how many e-books may be written by AI.

While showing her concerns about using AI bots to publish books Mary Rasenberger, executive director of the Author’s Guild says,

“This is something we need to be worried about. These books will flood the market and a lot of authors are going to be out of work”.

“There needs to be transparency from the authors and the platforms about how these books are created or you’re going to end up with a lot of low-quality books,” she added.
