Engaging in pivotal discussions with high-ranking officials such as Governor Botir Zaripov and Uzbek ministers, CM Naqvi strongly underscored the inherent value of these talks. Particularly, he highlighted their critical role in propelling collaborative efforts across sectors, most notably within the agricultural realm.

This formal designation as sister cities stands as a testament to the shared goodwill and a united vision for cultivating stronger bonds between these urban centers.

Among the many highlights that underscored the depth of these diplomatic efforts was the steadfast commitment of the Uzbek government to the expansive growth of the agricultural sector. This unwavering commitment garnered significant appreciation from Chief Minister Naqvi, who acknowledged the comprehensive support extended. Furthermore, his expressions of gratitude resonated deeply for the gracious reception and heartfelt hospitality extended during their productive stay in Uzbekistan.

Patriotic Pakistani Dramas To Watch This Long Weekend

We wouldn’t have it any other way but the month of August exudes a patriotic air thanks to everything from local firms’ Azaadi promotions to our favorite national music playing on the radio and television. Since many years ago, Pakistani television has shown some of the best patriotic programs, exposing the true meaning of independence and honoring the national heroes of our land.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the best dramas to appear on TV, from classics like “Alpha Bravo Charlie” which honors the troops who sacrifice their lives for the nation to “Dastaan,” a compelling story about the struggle for independence that led to the partition.

1. Alpha Bravo Charlie

Although some consider Alpha Bravo Charlie to be the best Pakistani drama to date, it has captivated the hearts of Pakistani people from its initial premiere decades ago. It also has a unique cult following. ISPR and Shoaib Mansoor developed Alpha Bravo Charlie. The story of Faraz’s (Faraz Inam), Kashif’s (Captain Abdullah Mehmood), and Gulsher’s (Captain Qasim Khan) enduring relationship is delightful to witness and serves as a cherished reminder of the lovely golden period of Pakistani dramas.

2. Daastan

Daastan is included on this list because it is one of the most grieved dramas we have seen about division, in contrast to the other comedies on our list. Our hearts are with this legendary series, and the majority of the episodes will have you in tears. You would feel a sense of pride for the freedom fighters and the innocent people who lost their lives for an independent Pakistan and its independence after hearing the heartbreaking tales of the incidents during the partition and the subsequent events.

3. Sunehre Din

The pinnacle of the enduring golden age of PTV dramas, Sunehre Din is still relevant today. The drama, which is lighthearted, enjoyable, and relatable to young people, was based on the young cadets of the Pakistani Military Academy in Kakul. with a young Saleem Sheikh who, despite his mother’s desires, enrolled in the academy. The events that will always stick in our memories are the amusing incidents involving the juniors and seniors.

Fans would eagerly welcome a second season of the narrative of four college mates, played by Ahad Raza Mir, Wahaj Ali, Osman Khalid Butt, and Ahmed Ali Akbar since it is an incredible delight to watch.

5. Aangan

In 2018, a super-popular Pakistani periodic drama that was based on the Indian Subcontinent’s division and Pakistan’s subsequent independence was broadcast on television. The Hindustani family in Aangan had to deal with the tragic horrors that transpired after they were split up as a result of the partition in 1947.

WhatsApp: How To Screen-Share During Video Calls

Source: Oshda TV

WhatsApp has set a new benchmark in the realm of video calling by introducing a groundbreaking feature: screen sharing. This innovative addition not only enriches the user experience but also positions the platform as a formidable contender in the competitive landscape, challenging established video conferencing giants such as Microsoft Meet, Google Meet, Zoom, and Apple’s FaceTime.

Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, unveiled this cutting-edge feature through a Facebook post and his Instagram channel. With screen sharing, WhatsApp users can now seamlessly share documents, images, and even their shopping carts while engaged in video calls with their contacts. This novel approach, initially made available to beta testers on Android in late May, can be accessed via the “Share” icon. Users have the option to share a specific app or their entire screen, a functionality reminiscent of popular video-conferencing platforms like Google Meet and Zoom.

Phased Integration Across Platforms

To ensure a smooth and efficient integration of the screen-sharing feature, WhatsApp has adopted a phased rollout strategy across Android, iOS, and Windows Desktop platforms. While the feature might not be immediately visible to all users, this strategic approach guarantees a seamless experience as it becomes an integral part of the WhatsApp ecosystem.

Enhancing Visual Engagement

Accompanying the revolutionary screen-sharing feature is the introduction of video-calling support in Landscape mode. This significant development enhances the viewing experience, offering users an immersive alternative to the existing Portrait mode. Moreover, the Landscape mode complements the screen-sharing feature, providing a dynamic and comprehensive video interaction environment.

How to screen share on WhatsApp

If you wish to share your screen while on a video call using WhatsApp, follow these steps;

  • Ensure that your WhatsApp is updated to the latest version.
  • Initiate a video call with the person you want to connect with.
  • At the bottom of the screen, you’ll notice a new ‘Share’ icon; tap on it.
  • Provide the necessary permissions to enable screen sharing.
  • You can then select whether you want to share your entire screen or just a specific app.
  • Your shared content will become visible to the other participants, while their video icons will remain displayed. Once you’re finished, simply conclude the screen sharing by ending the process.

A Journey of Enhancement and Innovation

WhatsApp’s journey with video calling began over six years ago, with its debut on the platform in November 2016. In a landscape marked by rapid technological advancements, WhatsApp has consistently elevated its video-calling services to remain relevant and appealing to users. Recent updates include picture-in-picture support for video calls on iOS, allowing users to multitask seamlessly during conversations. Additionally, WhatsApp enabled the sharing of short video messages within chats, highlighting the growing significance of video as a potent means of communication.

Screen sharing has emerged as a pivotal feature of video-conferencing applications, catering to both consumer and professional needs. Apple’s introduction of SharePlay into FaceTime in 2021 exemplified the demand for such capabilities among iOS users. WhatsApp’s extension of screen sharing to users across Android, iOS, and desktop platforms redefines inclusivity and convenience in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Setting the Standard for Virtual Collaboration

The introduction of screen sharing on WhatsApp carries profound implications for the future of virtual communication. As remote work, virtual collaborations, and digital interactions become increasingly essential, the ability to share screens seamlessly elevates the efficiency and quality of communication. WhatsApp’s commitment to embracing this trend underscores its dedication to remaining at the forefront of technological advancements and user preferences.

WhatsApp’s introduction of screen sharing marks a significant milestone in the evolution of video-calling applications. By seamlessly integrating this feature into its platform, WhatsApp not only solidifies its position as a competitor to established players but also equips users with a tool that enhances the depth and quality of their virtual interactions. In a world characterized by digital connections, WhatsApp’s screen-sharing feature is poised to become an integral part of how we communicate, collaborate, and connect.

How To Remove Non-Consenual Private Image Using This AI Tool

Siource: Vice

In an era characterized by technological advancements, the problem of image-based sexual abuse through non-consensual deepfake pornography has reached concerning levels. With the rise of hyper-realistic generative image models like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney, the creation of manipulated explicit images has become not only prevalent but alarmingly accessible. While this issue has persisted for some time, the advent of these advanced AI techniques has exacerbated the problem, necessitating swift and effective action to curb its impact.

Navigating a Legal Void

One pressing challenge surrounding non-consensual deepfake pornography is the lack of strict legal frameworks to protect the rights of victims. The absence of comprehensive regulations has created an environment in which perpetrators can exploit and victimize individuals without facing substantial consequences. The urgency to address this issue is further underlined by the disproportionate impact on women, with an alarming 96% of nonconsensual deepfake videos targeting female subjects, often celebrities, whose images are manipulated into explicit content without their consent.

Empowerment Through Technology: Introducing StopNCII

Amid the troubling landscape of non-consensual image-based abuse, a glimmer of hope arises in the form of technological solutions. The StopNCII initiative emerges as a beacon of empowerment for victims of such abuse, offering a streamlined process to report and address cases of manipulated explicit imagery. Through the StopNCII platform, victims can upload both the original and altered versions of the image. Employing a sophisticated on-device hashing technique, the platform generates unique numerical codes that serve as secure digital fingerprints for each image.

Strengthening Our Efforts Against the Spread of Non-Consensual Intimate Images | Meta
Source: Meta

The innovative strategy of StopNCII relies on the collaboration of tech companies that have committed to being part of the solution. These companies employ the hashed codes provided by StopNCII to identify and prevent the sharing of manipulated images on their platforms. This approach ensures that the original images remain solely on the victim’s device, disrupting the cycle of non-consensual sharing of explicit images. Crucially, only the hashes, not the actual images, are shared, preventing further dissemination of sensitive content and maintaining ownership.

Origins and Impact: Meta’s Role and Global Reach

The inception of StopNCII dates back to 2021 when Meta, in partnership with 50 global NGOs, supported the UK Revenge Porn Helpline in launching this pioneering initiative. Since its inception, StopNCII has evolved into a global force against online non-consensual image sharing. It provides users worldwide with a proactive means to secure their intimate images while prioritizing safety and privacy. The platform’s mechanism aligns seamlessly with the growing significance of on-device hashing, offering a tangible solution to a problem that has been plaguing online spaces.

Extending Beyond Celebrities: A Vicious Loop

Non-consensual deepfake pornography extends beyond the realm of celebrities. Journalists, activists, and ordinary individuals have fallen victim to this malicious practice, often as a means of harassment or intimidation. For example, Indian journalist Rana Ayyub experienced targeting after taking a stand on a sensitive issue. Similarly, American Twitch streamer QTCinderella became a victim of deepfake pornography, highlighting the broad spectrum of harm caused by this digital exploitation.

As the proliferation of non-consensual deepfake pornography threatens individual privacy, dignity, and security, technological solutions such as StopNCII offer hope. Despite the legal challenges and gaps, platforms like StopNCII demonstrate the power of collaboration and technology in combatting this issue. However, as technology continues to evolve, the battle against non-consensual deepfake pornography must remain adaptive and vigilant, ensuring that privacy and dignity are preserved in the ever-changing digital landscape.

86% Of Registrars Doubt Brides’ Nikahnama Negotiation Abilities

A recent study that took place in Lahore showed that many people who perform marriage ceremonies called “nikkah registrars” think that brides don’t have the skills to discuss the terms of their marriage contract. This study also found that a lot of these registrars believe that giving women the right to ask for a divorce could lead to more divorces. They also think that a wife only has the right to financial support if she obeys her husband. Can you believe this sort of stuff still exists in 2023?

The Study

This information was shared during the launch of a report called “Diagnostic Study of Nikkahnamas in Punjab: A Review of Women’s Marriage Rights.” This report was put together by the Centre for Human Rights, Musawi, and the National Commission for Human Rights.

The study looked at how women’s rights in marriages are treated and protected. They looked at 1,100 marriage contracts (nikkah namas) and talked to 105 nikah registrars in two districts, Lahore and Pakpattan, in Punjab. They also studied the laws related to marriage.

Problems And Solutions

The study found several problems. One issue is that many existing laws meant to protect women’s rights are not being followed properly. For example, some registrars were not filling out important information in the marriage contracts, like the bride’s ID details or her age. They also found that many registrars believe women need their husband’s permission to work, and they don’t think women have the right to ask for a divorce.

The study suggests that there needs to be a better understanding and enforcement of the laws that protect women’s rights in marriages. By not properly following these laws, many women are not getting the rights they deserve. Overall, the study highlights the importance of making sure that marriage contracts are filled out correctly and that women’s rights are respected and protected. This is important not only for the couple getting married but also for their families and future generations.

This Pakistani Guy Shares Why He Stopped Going To The Qabristan

graveyard

As a little child, you are always told there is nothing scary about a graveyard. Your elders give explanations to justify. And logically, all these explanations seem sound enough. But your heart tells you otherwise. Your heart tells you there might be more to the story. It appears your heart just might be right.

When our readers gave us quite a response over Karsaz churail, we decided to delve into the world of spook further. As we discussed the what-ifs of what the world might entail, a team member at Brandsynario, Hassaan, mentioned how that world brushed past him once. He says it was since then that he stopped going to the graveyards.

graveyard

Never play truth and dare in a graveyard

He recalls that it was the night of the cricket world cup, and Pakistan had just won. So, to celebrate, he went out with a group of his friends. When friends get together, they like to dare each other. That night, as they rode their motorbikes on Shahrahe Faisal, they decided to stop at Colony Gate Qabrustan (graveyard). Hassaan and his friend dared two others to go through the graveyard. Those two went on their way.

graveyard

More than an hour passed, but they hadn’t returned. Now, Hassaan and his friend started getting worried. They tried calling them on cellphones, but there was no response. They were supposed to meet at half an hour marker, and that was long past too. So these two decided to go in and find their friends themselves.

Bad move, he says.

Stay very quiet in the graveyard!

As they walked in the eerie silence and occasional crunch of the leaves, they kept calling out their friends’ names. The then-19-year-olds had clearly forgotten they shouldn’t be noisy amidst the graves.

So as young Hassaan moved forward, he felt as if his friend had tugged him from behind. He turned on his spot only to find his friend almost ten graves away. Unsure of what had just happened, he stumbled. He stumbled and fell into an open grave. Six feet under, as the darkness closed all around him; a hand grabbed on his ankle. He could feel the bony hand engulfing his ankle as the grip got tighter.

GIF source: Giphy

Scarier, he says, in the entire event was that he couldn’t see what or who had grabbed him. The last thing he remembers before losing consciousness is the helplessness he felt as he couldn’t even call out for help.

His family tells him that he was recovered from the old, ’empty’ grave after a while, but he remained unconscious for 72 hours. The doctors couldn’t make any diagnosis.

From that day onwards, Hassaan refuses to set foot in any graveyard, the bony hand imprinted on his mind.

Furious Backlash Over ‘Child Maid’ Eating On Mall Floor Video

A viral video showing a family enjoying their food at the food court of Packages Mall, while their domestic helper sat on the floor beside them, has sparked widespread discussion on social media. The video was subsequently shared on Twitter, drawing criticism toward the family for having their young maid sit on the floor. The user who posted the video said that this practice is unfortunately quite common in many urban areas of Pakistan. According to the user, this incident is just a very small example of a long-standing issue of class division in the country, characterized by unspoken ‘rules’

  • Domestic workers are often made to sit on the floor rather than chairs or sofas in the presence of their employers.
  • They are prohibited from sharing the same plate, or glass, or even thinking to eat from the same refrigerator as their employers.
  • A pervasive assumption prevails that domestic workers are potential ‘thieves’ each time an item goes missing.

This post has gained over 500 retweets so far, prompting numerous social media users to highlight the incident and shed light on the mistreatment of little kids. Here are some reactions from people on the Internet.

In addition to such incidents, it’s important to acknowledge another concerning aspect of social dynamics in Pakistan which is child labor. The country has long been insensitive to the issue of child labor, where many young children are compelled to work in hazardous conditions to help support their families. And not just work but forced by mafias to beg on the streets and then give all the money to their “owners”. Despite efforts to address this problem, child labor remains a significant but extremely sad challenge, depriving children of their right to education and safe childhood. Fighting both class-based discrimination and child labor requires comprehensive efforts from society and authorities alike to ensure the well-being and dignity of all individuals.

Pakistan’s Sale Chaos Amid Inflation – Was It Justified?

Pakistan was once this hopeful and aspiring nation and now it is unfortunately grappling with significant economic challenges that have led to its classification as one of the poorest and unlivable countries. The country is facing one of its toughest inflation periods ever, which has strained the financial well-being of its citizens. However, amidst these difficulties, an interesting thing is being observed time and again. People in Pakistan are often seen spending money on clothes, particularly when there are sales or discount offers in big stores.

In recent times, inflation has taken a severe toll on the daily lives of Pakistanis. The cost of basic necessities, including food and fuel, has risen dramatically, making it difficult for families to make ends meet. Basic necessities have become a luxury for many, pushing them into a vicious cycle of economic hardship. As a result, the quality of life for a significant portion of the population has diminished.

The Sapphire/Khaadi Incident

Amidst this challenging economic backdrop, it is so interesting and even confusing to observe the spending patterns of the people, especially when it comes to clothing. Despite the financial constraints, many Pakistanis seem to prioritize buying clothes, especially during sales and discount offers provided by large retail stores for example the recent incident that occurred at Sapphire.

Chaos erupted at a local shopping center in Faisalabad when women became extremely aggressive upon discovering Sapphire’s end-of-season sale. The situation took a more serious turn when certain women decided to call for backup, the men! What initially began as a confrontation centered around women’s fashion soon escalated into a mixed-gender clash. Regrettably, the men arrived not with shopping bags, but with firearms.

Fortunately, the Punjab police swiftly intervened, bringing the armed men’s unruly behavior under control and apprehending six individuals engaged in the altercation. Videos capturing the incident quickly spread across various social media platforms.

This shows that addressing the root causes of Pakistan’s economic challenges is crucial to ensuring a sustainable and brighter future for the nation and its citizens.

Fake Nursing Schools in Sindh: Investigating Allegations

The Senate Sub-Committee on National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination established the purpose of addressing concerns raised by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) regarding nursing colleges’ affiliation status. Senator Rubina Khalid led the committee in convening at the Parliament House to conduct a thorough investigation into the issue of fraudulent institutions linked with the PNC, including exploring their connections to hospitals and the issuance of counterfeit nursing degrees.

Within the committee, dissatisfaction arose due to the sluggish progress, prompting inquiries into the reasons behind the delay. Senator Khalid underscored the considerable influence that the PNC wielded, which, over a year, had prolonged the issue’s resolution. The influence surpassed even that of the Prime Minister. In light of this, she emphasized the necessity for improvements within the PNC setup and highlighted the crucial role of the new council.

Upon discovering the establishment of a new Nursing Council, scheduled for its inaugural meeting shortly, expectations arose for expedited actions to counter the challenge of fake degrees and colleges. As a result, the sub-committee collectively decided to extend invitations to both the new council’s president and a representative from the Ministry for the upcoming meeting.

The PN&MC’s briefing to the sub-committee firmly refuted recognition of any ghost or fake nursing institutes. Although apparently 90% of the nursing schools in Sindh were reported to be fake. The assertion stated that they are actively taking robust legal measures against such institutions. In response, the committee formally requested the submission of an inquiry report concerning closed colleges and the ongoing monitoring of ghost colleges during the upcoming session.

A particularly noteworthy point emerged from the briefing, emphasizing that the PN&MC solely holds the authority to regulate nursing diplomas/degrees/courses/programs in the country. Senator Khalid critically questioned this regulatory structure and further sought an explanation of the amendments within the PNC (Amendment) Act, 2023.

This icon serves as the portal to a whole new dimension of interaction: voice chat. However, this icon only appears if both the account is granted access and the group is compatible.

Upon tapping the waveform icon, the virtual door swings open, revealing a tailor-made interface for effortless voice interactions. The brilliance lies in its simplicity – anyone within the group, up to 32 participants, can join the spoken session without any cumbersome setup.

What sets this feature apart from traditional group calls is its elegant approach to eliminating ringing phones. Instead of a cacophony of incoming call notifications, the participants can dive into meaningful conversations without any auditory distractions.

Control Through Duration

A thoughtful aspect of this feature is its duration control. While the session remains active after participants leave, it gracefully concludes after an hour. This balanced approach ensures conversations are engaging yet time-efficient.

In a digital age rife with concerns about privacy, WhatsApp’s voice chat feature prioritizes security. Like the app’s messaging functionality, voice chats are end-to-end encrypted by default, ensuring the conversations remain confidential.

WhatsApp’s Unique Advantage

Although not the trailblazer in voice chat features, WhatsApp enjoys a significant advantage – an immense user base exceeding 2 billion. This extensive reach ensures that the impact of this innovation could be transformative.

The ripple effects of WhatsApp’s voice chat feature are potentially monumental. From spontaneous discussions to collaborative brainstorming sessions, it introduces a new layer of interactivity that mimics face-to-face interactions.

Melodic Conversations: Fostering Unity One Voice at a Time

In a world where effective communication is paramount, WhatsApp’s latest innovation bridges the gap between the familiar and the cutting-edge. The introduction of the voice chat feature serves as a melodic backdrop to conversations, encouraging meaningful interactions and strengthening bonds.

As technology continues to weave connections across the world, WhatsApp’s voice chat feature stands as a testament to the platform’s dedication to progress. By facilitating authentic connections and enriching conversations, it harmoniously contributes to the ever-evolving symphony of communication apps.

Ramiz’s Funny Crush – Wants To Marry Babar Azam

Ramiz's Funny Crush - Wants To Mary Babar Azam
Source:: Cricketaddictor

In the world of cricket, there are commentators, and then there’s Ramiz Raja – a man whose love for the game is only rivaled by his unabashed admiration for one man: Babar Azam. And if you thought cricket was all about smacking the ball out of the park, you clearly haven’t witnessed Ramiz’s unapologetically hilarious commentary when Babar’s at the crease.

Babar Azam’s Fireworks and Ramiz’s Verbal Fireworks

In a recent match that had cricket enthusiasts on the edge of their seats, Babar Azam pulled off a spectacle that left everyone’s jaws hanging – everyone except Ramiz Raja, that is. Babar’s whirlwind century against Galle Titans not only sealed a stunning victory for Colombo Strikers but also broke records like they were mere twigs in a storm. And guess who was there to witness it all unfold with the vigor of an overenthusiastic puppy? None other than our favorite cricket commentator, Ramiz “Babar’s Number One Fan” Raja.

As the ball soared to every corner of the field, Ramiz’s praises soared even higher. “Fifty in security, class, and quality, calmness,” he cooed, as if Babar’s bat was an enchanted wand. Ramiz’s commentary wasn’t just enthusiastic – it was like listening to a love poem dedicated to Babar’s batting prowess. If words could blush, the dictionary would be tomato red after that performance.

“Wanna Marry Him!” – Ramiz’s Hilariously Unfiltered Outburst

But wait, it gets better! In the midst of a fevered monologue about Babar’s on-field brilliance, Ramiz tossed in a line that might have caused even the seasoned cricket fan to spill their tea. “I just absolutely love him – wanna marry him,” Ramiz exclaimed, leaving everyone within earshot (and probably Babar himself) in a fit of incredulous laughter.

Now, one might think that such blatant and unconventional admiration might raise eyebrows, especially considering Ramiz’s prior role as the Chairman of Pakistan’s Cricket Board. But then again, when it comes to cricket, it’s not unusual for emotions to run as high as an umpire’s index finger during a tense LBW appeal.

Ramiz Raja’s Long-Standing Affection for Babar

Ramiz’s affinity for Babar isn’t new, of course. Back when he held the reins of the cricket board, he often showered Babar with compliments that would put a proud parent to shame. But now, with Ramiz in the commentator’s box, it’s like watching a cricket match through a whimsical, rose-tinted lens. Every shot, every drive, and every run become a reason for Ramiz to burst into poetic exclamations about his cricketing heartthrob.

While some might argue that Ramiz’s affection for Babar’s batting is over the top, one can’t deny the sheer entertainment it brings to the cricketing world. In a sport that is often filled with serious analysis and technical jargon, Ramiz’s unapologetic enthusiasm is like a breath of fresh air – albeit air that’s scented with an oddly strong aroma of Babar-love.

So, the next time you tune in to watch a cricket match and hear Ramiz Raja gushing about Babar Azam’s genius on the field, remember that you’re not just watching a game. You’re witnessing an unconventional love story that transcends boundaries, turning the usually stoic world of cricket commentary into a romantic comedy where a commentator and a cricketer live happily ever after – in their own unique way.

Employee Stunned: Company Overpays Him 367 Times His Salary

In a surprising turn of events, a Hungarian individual encountered an unforeseen employee overpayment scenario when their employer accidentally deposited 367 times their actual earnings into their account. Rather than receiving the expected 92,549 forints (equivalent to about 238 euros or $260), the company mistakenly wired an astounding 34 million forints.

This incident unfolded in Hungary’s Somogy County, where the individual briefly worked for a Kaposvár-based company that terminated their employment due to an unsuccessful trial period.

Originally entitled to a salary of 92,549 forints, about 238 euros or $260, a significant oversight resulted in an astounding 34 million forints being deposited. This substantial error arose because the man’s Austrian bank account details were utilized, leading to the payment being processed in euros rather than the intended local currency.

Realizing their mistake swiftly, the Hungarian company contacted the former employee, urging the return of the overpaid amount. However, the individual cited their inability to refund the money due to lack of access to the Austrian account.

This marked the beginning of the situation’s complexities. Subsequent police investigations revealed that the man personally withdrew approximately 15,500 euros in cash from the Austrian account using an ATM in southern Hungary. Following this, the funds were transferred to another account.

Through collaboration with the Kaposvár District Prosecutor’s Office, the company succeeded in freezing the Austrian account and effectively rerouting the funds back to their account.

The individual faces charges of unlawful appropriation and a potentially substantial fine in this context.
