The meet up was held at the daraz.pk headquarters in Karachi at Dolmen Mall to provide the most influential Pakistani IT and Fashion blogging fraternity with a detailed idea of Daraz.pk and its unique offerings being a portal that delivers internationally as well as locally to over 200 cities in Pakistan. Mr. Shamail Wasi, Manager Marketing Daraz.pk addressed the bloggers giving interesting insights about the portal as well as answering questions. Some interesting facts were revealed during the session, including the fact that Daraz.pk gets a substantial amount of its sales from places outside of the metropolitan cities of Pakistan, including places like Ghotki where the branded products are not widely available. Another exciting fact revealed that it was cheaper to purchase the iphone 6 online through the portal as compared to retail outlets and is currently one of their most popular sales products.

On line sales have shown a rapid increase as they are able to provide consumers brands in places where stores for those products have not yet opened.

In addition to exciting offers on mobile phones, beauty products and electronics Daraz’s next step is to bring groceries to its online shopping mall in order to benefit its complete clientele portfolio.

Daraz.pk also plans to launch its very own smartphone app sometime in January 2015 so that its customers can order whenever they want even more conveniently.

One of the few online portals of Pakistan to hold a strong history of such rapid growth, daraz.pk is forming partnerships with various big names like Unilever, Burberry, Armani and Michael Kors and has superseded other online shopping brands in a short time span.
