In the light of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shooting down two Indian jets inside Pakistani airspace, Prime Minister Imran Khan gave an empowering address to the nation.
Khan has enlightened the nation on the current situation as tensions heat up with India.
The premier stated that he initially invited India for dialogue and urged them to solve the dispute over Pulwama attack.
We made an offer of complete cooperation to India in conducting an investigation into the Pulwama Attack. I know the devastation war brings with it.
However, the PM stated that Pakistan was bound to retaliate after Indian airforce crossed the LOC yesterday.
We didn’t want collateral damage at any cost but also wanted to tell India about our armed forces’ capability to respond
He further added that Pakistan acted responsibly and wanted to ensure that there is no collateral damage.
Khan has now invited India again for peace talks and not escalate the situation.
We are ready for dialogue over terrorism. We have the capacity to retaliate and respond. But better sense should prevail. Work towards peace via dialogue”
