Prominent businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son are among the individuals missing after a submersible, operated by OceanGate Expeditions, lost contact while exploring the Titanic wreckage. The 21-foot tourist craft started its descent on Sunday but went off the radar less than two hours later.

The vessel, carrying Engro Vice Chairman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, has a limited oxygen supply of 96 hours. Multiple government agencies and deep-sea companies are leading a rescue effort to establish contact and ensure their safe return.

In a recent interview hosted by Nadir Ali, the YouTuber asked the actress if she has plans to convert to Islam. Sunita who has been a practicing Christian married Hassan Ahmed and share two kids who have been practicing Islam. While asking about her inlaws and their religious beliefs Nadir chose to cross the boundaries and asked all the wrong questions.

While asking her if she has any plans to convert, the host asked if she has any pressure from her in-laws.

“You are a Christian and your husband and Kids are Muslim. What are your plans?” Asked Nadir.

“Me? I have no plans of converting as of now. My husband Hassan and his family never pressurized me. I often get such comments on Instagram but I don’t care about them.”

Nadir didn’t stop there and went one step ahead ‘while asking her that her entire family is Muslim and she must have some sort of pressure from them to convert.’

Sunita, then corrected the host and informed him that it was her inlaws who are practicing Muslims and they are very good with her. Meanwhile, nobody has asked her to convert as of yet.

While talking about her kids the actress mentioned,

“Before I got married, it was decided right away that when we have kids, they will follow Islam. I live with my in-laws and they can teach them better about Islam. I never wanted to hang my kids in the middle by waiting for them to grow up and then decide which path to follow.”

“There’s this trend nowadays that parents leave it to their kids so they can decide what religion to follow.” She added.

“I wanted my kids to stay in one direction, they offer prayers, they fast and they follow Islam wholeheartedly. That’s how I think one must follow a religion.”

Nadir on the other hand received severe backlash from the netizens over his insensitive remarks. While fans were applauding the actress for being calm and collected throughout the interview, netizens demanded that such pranksters must not host podcasts as they take away the whole essence of it.

Om Raut’s film ‘Adipurush’ hit the box office on 16th June 2023, with a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan. Despite a reported opening day collection of over 50 crores, the film has failed to receive a favorable response from the audience. Social media has now become a breeding ground for trolls targeting the film’s cast and their appearances.

Netizens are questioning the film’s massive budget, estimated to be around 600 crores. The VFX alone accounted for 100 crores, while an additional 10 crores were allocated for promotions and miscellaneous expenses. Casting expenses ranged between 200 to 300 crores, with Prabhas allegedly charging a staggering fee of 150 crores for his role. Kriti Sanon’s fee amounted to 3 crores, while Saif Ali Khan received 12 crores, according to speculative reports.

Despite its impressive box office performance during its opening weekend, the film has faced severe criticism on social media platforms. Netizens have expressed their discontent with the portrayal of characters from the Ramayana epic in the film, specifically targeting the dialogues and Saif Ali Khan’s appearance as the antagonist, Lankesh. The film’s adaptation of the Ramayana story has drawn mixed reactions and sparked intense online debates.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Gets Ready For Zilhaj Moon Sighting Meeting

Today, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to sit in Karachi for the purpose of sighting the Zilhaj moon. This important meeting will be attended by representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the Department of Meteorology, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Chaired by Abdul Khabeer Azad, a respected scholar, the committee will discuss and assess the moon sighting reports. Simultaneously, zonal committees in cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar will also hold meetings on the same day.

Following the traditional protocol, the Ministry of Religious Affairs will issue an official notification after the committee’s decision is made. It is worth noting that the Committee meets on the 29th day of each lunar month and announces the sighting of the moon accordingly.

Zil Hajj, also known as Dhu al-Hijjah, holds significant importance in the Islamic calendar. It is the twelfth and final month, marking the start of the Hajj pilgrimage, one of the five pillars of Islam. The sighting of the Zilhaj moon plays an important role in determining the beginning of this sacred month. Layers Bakeshop is one of the most popular bakeries and cake places in Pakistan. Their customers are very loyal to them because their taste and cakes are simply unmatchable. But what happens if you’re eating a cake from your favorite cake place and you find a whole, full, and complete lizard in it? Definitely not the prettiest sight or the yummiest one either if you eat it. This is what happened with Layers. A video recently started to go viral of people finding a lizard in their cake from Layers Bakeshop in Faisalabad.

The lizard was found dead in the cake and the people eating the cake immediately whipped out their phone to record the nasty incident. They even poked and fidgeted with the lizard to make sure it was a lizard and it was dead.

An Attempt At Defamation?

After the video went viral, Layers obviously went through a ton of backlash by triggered netizens which was expected. The video made headlines and Layers had almost said bye to their future when some people started speculating that maybe this was planted and just an attempt to defame Layers.

Ken Doll aka Adnan Zafar argued that this was just a dirty move by some competitors. He based this explanation on the fact that if a lizard had fallen into the cake or the batter, after being baked at such high temperatures as 250 degrees centigrade, it would not look the way it did. According to him, it was still “soft” and “fresh” indicating that it had been put in afterward or else it would’ve looked “cooked”.

He also claimed that he had been working in the hospitality industry for the last 11 years and that he was talking logically and factually which further strengthened the argument of the other people who were of the same opinion.
