Lt. Gen. Suleiman Al Yehia, chief of the Saudi General Directorate of Passports, emphasized the importance of these services during a launch ceremony in Riyadh. With a population of around 32.2 million people, Saudi Arabia hosts a significant expatriate workforce, totaling approximately 13.4 million individuals. These new digital services cater to the diverse needs of this community, facilitating smoother interactions with government agencies.

Simplifying Travel Procedures

Young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed appreciated skipper Ben Stokes for his support towards practicing Muslim players in the England men’s cricket team.

The value of tires is quite high on the market in bulk, especially brand new ones. Thus, this gives the wrong-doers an opportunity to commit such a crime. There are growing concerns within the industry regarding the resurgence of smuggled tires infiltrating local markets.

The decline in tire imports post-rupee devaluation is attributed to the surge in smuggled tire influx, prompting industry leaders to call for government intervention. Hussain Kuli Khan, CEO of Ghandhara Tire and Rubber (GTR) Company Ltd, voiced distress over the widespread availability of illicit tires across various sizes. Be it a hatchback or a truck, there is access to all such types of tires.

Hussain Kuli Khan emphasized the government’s duty to safeguard local industries, emphasizing their role in employment generation, tax contribution, and forex conservation. The rupee’s devaluation led to a decrease in tire imports, subsequently filled by a substantial influx of contraband tires despite their inferior quality.

Only 25% of the country’s annual tire demand is met by domestic manufacturers, with 10% sourced from authorized imports, leaving the remaining portion supplied through illegal channels. This shows that quite a lot of section of the country’s annual tire demand is being met with illegal means. To have more than three quarters of the demand met with illegal means is a major concern.

Khan also urged authorities to scrutinize data on goods imported through Afghan Transit Trade (ATT). Imad Wasim suggested that Mohammad Rizwan should be prepared to adapt if asked to bat lower in the order as Babar Azam did in the New Zealand series.

During an interview with a local news outlet, Imad Wasim discussed the Pakistan team’s performance. He also offered some valuable suggestions for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

He appreciated the successful adaptation of Babar Azam to the one-down position during the T20I series against New Zealand. However, Imad suggested other players, especially Mohammad Rizwan should also follow the example and be ready to leave their comfort zone.

“Babar has adapted very well after batting at one down position. He scored three consecutive fifties. Similarly, Rizwan should adapt as well if he is asked to bat down the order,” Imad said.

Imad also offered advice to Pakistan’s T20I captain, Shaheen Afridi, urging him to prioritize the team’s best interests and follow his instincts while making strategic decisions.

“Shaheen is like my younger brother. I would advise him to approach everything with sincerity, prioritizing what is in the best interest of Pakistan. He has people around him, who can give him good suggestions,” Imad said.

“Shaheen did a good thing that he tried different opening combinations. It would be better for him to continue checking different combinations before the World Cup. If the new combinations don’t work, then they can go back to Babar and Rizwan as the opening pair,” he concluded.

Caretaker Balochistan Informa­tion Minister Jan Achakzai declared that internet services would be temporarily restricted in sensitive polling booths within the province on election day. The Election Commission of Pakistan assured that the Election Management System (EMS) would function offline in case of internet disruptions during the election. Thus, you can expect your voting process to go forward as planned, even if the internet goes down.
