Pakistan’s explosive wicketkeeper-batter, Azam Khan, recently made headlines in the ILT20 tournament with his explosive batting, as well as surprising his fans with his musical talent.

The Desert Vipers player not only smashed the fastest half-century in the tournament against Gulf Giants but also showcased his guitar and singing skills.

In a captivating video shared by his ILT20 franchise, Azam Khan strummed the chords of the famous song ‘Laree Chootee’ while displaying his vocal prowess.

Known for his interest in music, Azam has often emphasized how music helps him de-stress amidst the challenging atmosphere of professional cricket.

Azam also opened up about the challenges he faces regarding his selection in the Pakistan national team during a recent interview with the Desert Vipers.

Expressing his frustrations, the 25-year-old lamented the inconsistencies in his selection process, particularly the lack of consistent opportunities to prove himself.

“I have always understood that when I play league cricket, I get a complete opportunity because they know I can win them games, so they are calling me here,” stated Azam.

Notably, his recent comeback into the national team for the series against New Zealand met with criticism over his dismal showings.

He featured in the first three T20Is and failed to make an impact as he could manage modest scores of 10, 2 and 10 respectively.

However, Azam blamed inconsistency in selection for his belowpar performances. He expressed his desire for clarity from the selectors, emphasizing the importance of either being given a full series to showcase his abilities or being left out altogether.
