Shell Petroleum Company Limited entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Wafi Energy LLC (the Acquirer) for the sale
The Board of Directors of Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) announced the company’s financial results for the year ended December 31st, 2023. The company posted a profit after tax of PKR 5.8 billion for 2023 compared to the loss of PKR 72 million in 2022.
In October 2023, Shell Petroleum Company Limited, a subsidiary of Shell plc (Shell), signed an agreement to sell its 77.42% majority interest in Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) to Wafi Energy LLC. The completion of the transaction is subject to requisite regulatory approvals, completion of legal requirements and satisfaction of other closing formalities.
SPL acknowledges and welcomes the Government’s recent decision to increase industry margins and take robust measures to combat black market activities, which are aimed at stabilizing the currency.

PCB has announced a ten-day training camp in collaboration with the Pakistan Army at the esteemed Kakul Military Academy, in a bid to enhance the fitness levels of national cricketers.
This initiative comes in response to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s expressed concerns regarding the current fitness standards of the team.
“We have New Zealand [series] coming up, then Ireland, England and the T20 World Cup. I wondered, ‘When will we train?’ but there was no time,” said Naqvi.
“However, we’ve found a window, where we’ve organised a camp in Kakul (military academy) from March 25 to April 8. The Pakistan Army will be involved in your training, and hopefully, they’ll help you out.”
Set to commence on 25th March and extend until 8th April, the training camp aims to address pressing fitness issues among players ahead of a crucial series as well as the impending T20 World Cup 2024.

Two brave salesmen also played a vital role by forming a human chain to deter the mob from breaching the shop, despite the risk of arson.
The incident which happened after a woman was spotted wearing a dress with Arabic words was accused of desecration.
According to the details provided, the woman, accompanied by her husband, was walking through the bazaar wearing a shirt with Arabic calligraphy when a man started following them. He eventually confronted the woman near Pakistan Chowk, insisting that she change her shirt. Despite her refusal and request for him to leave, the man persisted and even tried to forcibly remove her shirt.
In response, she yelled at him and called for help, which led to the situation escalating and a large crowd gathering after hearing accusations of desecration. The woman sought refuge in a nearby food point, where she faced a volatile mob, including a suspect wielding a knife and making threats.
As the angry mob was getting out of hand, making strong threats shop owner, Johnson Tariq where the woman was seeking refuge quickly closed and locked the shop to keep everyone safe. Two brave salesmen guarded the shop outside, even though the mob threatened to set it on fire. Thankfully, the police came and stopped the situation from getting worse.

Asim Azhar in calling out an event management company for cancelling his concert without notifying him prior and spreaking fake information about his ‘lack of availability’. The singer recently took to his stories while sharing the post from event management’s official account.
Calling out the team Azhar notified his fans about his and his team’s availability for the concert. He further clarified that there were no reason or unforseen circumstances for him to cancel the show. And if need be, he would always notify before the event.
“This in untrue, my team and I are available on the committed date. Been getting a lot of messages regarding this. My management was just informed that the show is being postponed without giving us a genuine reason. I request everyone who bought tickets to ask the institution for the actual reason and get your tickets refunded.” He wrote in his Instagram story.
He further went on to clarify that the event at CMH was cancelled last minute by the institute itself.
