The merger, initially revealed two years ago, aimed to unite over 75 television channels, film assets, and two streaming platforms under a single entity. Sony cited unmet merger conditions as the reason for the termination, while reports suggest a leadership dispute may have played a role. They say that the conditions of the merger were not met, but there might be something greater at play here.
