Automobiles have made travel quite easy for us. Back then, it used to take days for people to travel from one part of the country to another. Automotives have reduced that time by a major margin. We cannot comprehend the concept of automobiles with enough depth. That said, where there are automobiles, there are accidents and fatalities. However, the aim of progress should be to minimize such incidents so that there may be driving without worry. Honda seems to be working on something of the sort.

According to sources, they have announced new safety technology that is going to be integrated into their vehicles in the next couple of decades. They are one of the first ones to announce and plan to implement such technology into vehicles. Automobile accidents are quite high each year and they want to bring that number down, at least from their brand. So, let us dive into the details of it all.

Honda With Safety

It seems that the brand is intent on making the world a safer place to live. In a recent statement, they mentioned how they wish to introduce safety technology in all their vehicles soon. Within the next two to three decades, we might just see state-of-the-art safety features in all Honda vehicles. Not just that, the features might be able to predict and prevent accidents.

This is based off of the reports that Honda is going to use 360 vision-based technology in their vehicles. The vehicle will have an eye out on all sides, taking all manner of events into perspective. In doing so, Honda wishes to reduce human error as much as possible, to a zero. It is also why this initiative is being referred to as the zero human error initiative.

There is nothing more concerning, on the road, than an automotive accident. It can send a chill down the spine and an ice-cold feeling through the heart. If Honda manages to go quite a distance with such safety technology, it is going to mean ease for a lot of drivers. They will not have to worry much about accidents when driving.

Khaadi CEO, Shamoon Sultan, has taken the brand to new levels. In achieving heights, you of course have to come across people who would attempt to pull you down. But how you pitch those heights is a whole different matter. And in such a step, Shamoon has gathered quite some trolls to have a go at him.

The CEO Khaadi took to his personal Facebook account sharing a heartfelt message appreciating his Khaadi team and cheering them on the achievement. The message read, “Khaadi and its team are about to change the game of customer experience and Retail shopping in high street fashion.”

He said that they had done it before and they were ready to do it again. According to the statement, he wanted people to mark their calendars for December 2021; that the new journey will be grand as there will be no going back.

The post further read:

“The new Dolmen store opening this coming weekend will be my most significant achievement, and I could not have done it without Khaadi and its team. Ready to put this store next to any international high street brand and win on the retail experience and product design.”

If this wasn’t enough, he named some top brands saying that he accepts their challenge. The brands included: Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, and Mango.

Trolls fastened their seatbelts

As he signed off with two words, ‘challenge accepted’, it became as clear as sky that Pakistanis will be ready to make fun of him. And the fun did indeed begin. People took a screenshot of the post and published it on their portals giving the trolls an arena to perform and they weren’t too wrong either just by the way. The vocabulary used by the CEO could have anyone responding this way.

One such Pakistani said that the tone of the statement seemed like Shamoon was opening a store outside Pakistan.

Meanwhile, others hinted at how Khaadi could focus more on the declining quality of the product than the retail experience.

Here’s what you didn’t know before:

The bar is called Twilight and it is located in the heart of Jeddah. People in Jeddah came to know about it from an advertisement. The bar ran a 140-second advertisement which many social media celebrities also posted. The advertisement describes the place as serving “alcohol-free wine” at this “halal bar”.

What gained the place a lot of hype was that it’s the first bar in Jeddah. None of its drinks contains alcohol and apparently, there is halal wine also which is why many flocked to it.

The place serves many delicious food items as well such as burgers and other appetizers. To give the proper vibe of a bar, they have the same glasses for wine and beer and the drinks also resemble the real thing. Authorities Crackdown

However, all good things must come to an end especially in Jeddah. The authorities cracked down on the halal bar and the owner of it has several cases against him in court. Last year, a Criminal Court in Jeddah convicted the owner of a “halal bar” to three months in prison. Moreover, the owner was fined 10,000 riyals for using words that violate public morals and religion in the advertisement ran on social media.

The Court also ultimately banned the advert. The owner defended himself to the fullest by pointing out that drinks are halal— there is no trace of alcohol in them. Moreover, the drinks were bought from licensed suppliers in the Saudi market. However, the court did not budge.

Besides that, the Saudi Public Prosecution also filed separate lawsuits against social media personalities for posting the advertisement.

A video shows a marriage taking place in India. It appears the bride and groom were brought together by an arranged marriage. Their body language indicates no comfort and what happens in the end also proves it was an arranged marriage. The two are sitting together calmly while a wedding ritual is being completed.

I mean, if something restricts international travel, it’s crueler than the Night King. But don’t you worry because, for all you travel freaks (like me), I have assembled a list of captivating places you Pakistanis can still travel to and appease your travel keera.

1. Malam Jabba: Pakistanis know it for its resort

A beautiful hill station in the Hindukush range. While people tend to avoid northern areas in winter, weirdly, Malam Jabba is best in the particular season. Fifty kilometers from Saidu Sharif, the place enjoys the reputation of being a popular ski resort. Both foreigners and Pakistanis visit Malam Jabba for the Ski Resort with a slope of nearly 800 meters. Meanwhile, the highest peak at Malam Jabba is 9000 feet above sea level.

Other than that, you will also enjoy the skating rinks, the chairlifts, and trekking. And looking for a good hotel won’t be tiresome either.

2. Naltar Valley

Less than 2 hours drive connects Gilgit and Naltar. Naltar is filled with beautiful landscapes, stunning lakes, snow-capped peaks, among other things. During the winters, everyone turns to this valley and enjoys the resort managed by Pakistan AirForce. It is like the primary vacation spot for all skiers. If tired from skiing, you can go out for picnics near the Bashri Lakes. Moreover, you can go to Pari Lake where you can go boating too!

3. Quetta

Known as the fruit garden of Pakistan, Quetta is stunning during the winters. Why is it called the fruit garden? Well, have you had their cuisine or dry fruits? If you had, you would know. And aside from these dry fruits, Quetta is also known for its vibrant festivals. The most interesting one is Buzkashi festival. It is held every year between two teams. The players sit on horses, so it is like Polo. But instead with a ball, they try to snatch a goat!

4. Skardu

Historical, Beautiful, and hospitable, Skardu is a complete package. For history, the city has Kharpocho Fort; it is SIX HUNDRED years old. For beauty, you can go to the Shangrila Resort. Or you can try the dunes in Katpana Village. Oh, and the shopping experience of Skardu Bazaar is something that should not be missed. Because nothing compares to local gifts as souvenirs. And not to forget, from Skardu, you can trek to the basecamp of K2.

5. Hunza

Hunza is a collection of attractive small villages that are colorful and interesting. You know what makes Hunza a bright place to visit. It’s because of the orchards, river, wooden bridges, and meadows spread around snow-capped mountains. And before returning, don’t forget to visit the top of Altit and Baltit forts.

Please note that these places are in Pakistan, but that is not stepping down, I assure you, because they are in no way less beautiful or less adventurous than Switzerland or Turkey. So this winter, travel within Pakistan, and you will be proud to be Pakistanis.

Standard Chartered Karachi United Youth League Concludes With Impressive Finale

26 November 2021, Karachi – Standard Chartered – Karachi United Football League was recently organised at the Karachi United Stadium, by Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited in collaboration with the Karachi United Youth Football Club. Featuring 199 thrilling matches, among 62 teams, it comprised more than 1300 young male & female players, who showed great performances, till the vibrant closing ceremony was held recently. Sponsorship of this tournament was a part of Standard Chartered Bank’s resourceful social-development initiative to promote healthy-sporting activities in the country.

The final matches of this tournament were recently held in Karachi, attracting more than 400 spectators and enthusiasts. The winning team in the under-14 girls’ competition was Karachi United Youth Center, while the victorious squad in the under-14 boys’ competition was Karachi United Team. Earlier, the under-10 team contest was won by Team Mauripur, while the top team in the under-12 contest was Lyari Center. The tournament kicked off in March 2021 with enthusiastic participation by children hailing from 12 community centres, 5 NGO teams, 10 government and private schools teams and the matches were played in different locations including Old Golimar, Clifton, Malir, Baldia, Lyari and Mauripur.

Standard Chartered has been sponsoring this league since 2017. Since then, over 2,800 children have been supported through sports, many of whom would otherwise have been engulfed in self-injurious activities such as violence and drugs.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr. Rehan Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Pakistan said, “It is a moment of pride for us to witness how far Standard Chartered-Karachi United Youth Football League has come along.
