TikTok Releases Its Q4 2023 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report

Pakistan, 01 April, 2024 – In its continuous effort to foster a secure and positive online environment, TikTok has unveiled its latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the fourth quarter of 2023. This release highlights TikTok’s unwavering commitment to transparency, safety, and inclusivity, reflecting its dedication to building trust and ensuring a safe platform for its global community.

During the October-December period of 2023, TikTok’s proactive measures led to the removal of 176,461,963 videos worldwide, representing about 1.0% of all videos uploaded on the platform. A substantial portion of these, 128,300,584 videos, were identified and removed through automated detection technologies, while 8,038,106 videos were reinstated upon further review.

In Pakistan alone, the platform took action against 18,596,077 videos for breaching its Community Guidelines in the fourth quarter, underscoring its resolve to combat violations effectively. Moreover, TikTok aggressively pursued spam accounts and related content, implementing robust measures to prevent the proliferation of automated spam accounts.

Notably, approximately 95.3% of videos that violated the guidelines were removed within 24 hours of posting, and the proactive removal rate for the quarter stood impressively at 99.5% globally. In a global effort to safeguard younger users, TikTok also deleted 19,848,855 accounts suspected of belonging to individuals under the age of 13.

In a startling revelation, Pakistan’s domestic auto industry finds itself navigating through one of the most challenging periods in its recent history. Despite a modest recovery post-pandemic in 2020 and decent numbers in FY22, the industry now faces a meteoric decline with no silver lining in sight.

Comparing the stark figures from FY22 to the current fiscal year paints a grim picture. Sales of locally assembled cars have plummeted by a staggering 55% in FY23, followed by an additional 45% decline in FY24. The scenario is dire, with projections suggesting that the combined sales of all PAMA-member companies may not even breach the 100,000-unit mark in FY24.

The downturn is felt across all segments, with the 1300cc & above segment witnessing a 45% decline in sales. Similarly, the 1000cc and below segments have suffered declines of 54% and 32%, respectively. These photos took social media by storm last October when news of her marriage to Salim Karim surfaced. Surprisingly enough, Mahira revealed that those photos were snapped “just by chance.” 

“I didn’t know that wedding photographers take pictures before the nikkah,” the “Humsafar” star shared.

She explained that she wanted her husband-to-be to see her after they signed their nikkah papers, not before.

“When the moment arrived, I was on one side, he was on the other, peering through his Sehra, and I had my veil,” Mahira recounted.

“We signed the papers, I approached him, and he saw me for the first time. That’s exactly what I had wanted,” she added.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag humorously referred to Chennai Super Kings’ MS Dhoni, as “buzurg” (elderly) his fielding prowess during the IPL 2024 encounter against Gujarat Titans.

Sehwag, speaking on Cricbuzz, praised the exceptional fielding efforts displayed by CSK players, including Ajinkya Rahane and Rachin Ravindra.

However, his light-hearted remark about Dhoni’s age drew attention, with the 45-year-old former cricketer labelling Dhoni as ‘buzurg.’
