Reportedly, Kapoor has been approaching actors Kanika Mann and Ayesha Khan. Kanika has gained popularity over a stunning dual performance in the ongoing series “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega.” A story about a young girl marrying a 45-year-old man. And Ayesh Khan started as a wildcard entry in the hit Indian reality series hosted by Salman Khan “Big Boss.” Aisha has been recently working in Pakistani dramas with prominent roles in ‘Mughal’ and ‘Woh Aik Pal.’

More reports tell that Kapoor has also partnered up with Colours TV, an Indian general entertainment channel, and has decided to launch the remake by July of 2024.

But this is not the first time neighboring countries have loved Pakistani work. Starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan as lead actors, Humsafar was just as widely loved. Regardless, fans have a lot to say about this remake. Complaints are coming in that Tere Bin will be turned into yet another typical Indian series. A damsel in distress and some charming hero to save her, no one wants to see that mellow drama again.

However, Kapoor was quick to reply to the criticism explaining she can’t change the story just because some people just don’t get it. Neither the content nor the production house seem to have any problems with the script.

In 1979, Nokia entered the telephone industry by establishing Mobira Oy in a joint venture with Finnish TV maker Salora, pioneering the Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT) service, the world’s first international cellular network. During the 1980s, Nokia introduced its first car phone, the Mobira Senator, and in 1982, the company launched its first digital telephone switch, the Nokia DX200.

As Nokia ventured through satellite and digital television technolog, during the 1990s, Nokia’s top management made the strategic decision to concentrate exclusively on the telecommunications market. Consequently, the company divested its data, power, television, tire, and cable units within the first few years of the decade, marking the beginning of Nokia’s prosperous era.

In 1992, Nokia introduced its first hand-held GSM phone, the Nokia 1011, boasting a talk time of 90 minutes and the capacity to store 99 contact numbers. Two years later, in 1994, Nokia launched the Nokia 2100 featuring the iconic Nokia ringtone. This model exceeded expectations, selling over 20 million units globally, surpassing the company’s initial predictions.

Fast forward 2003, Nokia made history by introducing the first camera phone. Responding to growing competition from iOS and Android operating systems in 2011, Nokia formed a strategic partnership with Microsoft. Eventually, in 2014, Nokia sold its mobile and devices division to Microsoft.

With the role out of new technologies including Android and Apple, customers quickly transitioned from Nokia to other smartphone brands. Despite being the top mobile seller in 2008, Nokia experienced a significant decline as early as 2009. However, Nokia remained committed to its operating system, Symbian, even as the popularity of Android and iOS soared. Unfortunately, Symbian couldn’t keep up with the competition posed by Android and iOS in the operating system market.

In 2016, the Nokia brand made a comeback in the mobile handset market through a licensing agreement with HMD Global, enabling them to produce phones under the Nokia brand. The following year, in 2017, HMD Global launched a new lineup of Nokia-branded Android smartphones and feature phones. Since then, HMD Global has expanded its portfolio to include not only phones but also tablets and services.

Mohammad Hafeez Voices Concern Over Sahibzada Farhan’s Batting Technique

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has expressed concerns over the batting technique of Lahore Qalandars’ opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan, particularly against swinging deliveries.

During the recent PSL 9 match against Islamabad United, Sahibzada Farhan struggled to make an impact, scoring only two runs off 12 balls.

He struggled particularly against Naseem Shah’s impressive swing bowling before being dismissed by Hunain Shah.

Speaking to a local sports channel after the match, Mohammad Hafeez highlighted Farhan’s discomfort against the swinging new ball, despite his credentials as an opener and a prolific scorer in domestic cricket.

“He looked pretty uncomfortable while facing the first over, especially against the swinging deliveries. This is a recurring issue for him, and it needs to be addressed,” stated Hafeez.

“He is a a good batter and has shown in domestic cricket. But the world’s top new-ball bowlers will exploit his weakness if not rectified.”

Echoing similar sentiments, cricketing icon Wasim Akram expressed his observations regarding Farhan’s struggle against swing bowling, particularly evident during Naseem Shah’s spell.

“It was seaming little bit and no doubt Naseem [Shah] bowled well, but he was bowling normal out-swingers. Sahibzada [Farhan] looked clueless as if he has never played swing bowling,” remarked Wasim Akram.

Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars secured their first victory of PSL 9 against Islamabad United at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium.

After posting 162 runs, led by Rassie van der Dussen’s fifty, Lahore’s bowling attack, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, successfully restricted Islamabad to 145 runs, showcasing a spirited performance in the league.

Azhar Mahmood, the bowling coach of Islamabad United, has come up with an innovative idea to improve communication among team management during the PSL matches.

Mahmood voiced his opinion following Islamabad’s loss against Lahore Qalandars in PSL 9, where he felt crucial errors were made on the field.

During a post-match press conference, Mahmood emphasized the need for improved communication channels. He suggested that coaches and captains should be equipped with microphones to facilitate real-time discussions.

“There should be a mic for communication between the coach and captain. This is our league which is why we can try such a thing,” said Azhar Mahmood.

“If commentators can speak to the cricketers [during the match], I think coach should be allowed to do the same.”

He highlighted the unique nature of the PSL, suggesting that such innovations could be explored within the league.

The match saw Lahore Qalandars secure their first victory of PSL 9 against Islamabad United at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium.

“Lahore Qalandars, despite their recent performance, cannot be underestimated. As two-time PSL champions, they have the potential to bounce back. We made mistakes too, contributing to our loss,” Mahmood acknowledged.

With a commendable bowling effort led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore restricted Islamabad to 145 runs after posting 162 on the scoreboard, courtesy of Rassie van der Dussen’s half-century.

PCB Considering Former Australian All-rounder For Head Coach

Former Australian all-rounder star Shane Watson has emerged as a prominent candidate for the role of Pakistan cricket team’s head coach, as per sources.

The 42-year-old, currently serving as the head coach of the Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing PSL 9, is under consideration for the role.

Notably, the position of head coach of Pakistan has been vacant since PCB decided to sack Grant Bradburn, who served in the role under team director Mickey Arthur.

Arthur was replaced by Mohammad Hafeez, but the position of head coach remained vacant as Hafeez preferred specialized batting and bowling coaches.

However, Hafeez’s contract was not renewed under new PCB management and now a new head coach will soon take over.

In addition to Watson, Mike Hesson and Daren Sammy are also in contention for the coaching roles.

Hesson is presently the head coach for Islamabad United, while Sammy holds the same position at Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing PSL.

She quotes on Instagram, “Love for Lahore and its heritage is a childhood passion.” Which is why her aesthetics greatly resemble south asian history.

Fahad Hussayn Steps In

The drama only got more intense after Fahad Hussayn stepped in and tried to resolve the contentions. He addressed both of them as ”copycats” and suggested that it was only a sad affair to be playing copycat, copycat, you took my rat. Yet another prominent figure in Pakistan’s fashion industry, Fahad Hussayn’s most popular work is his bridals.

He posed an excellent question to Zara, asking if anyone reserves rights over historical archives, photography, or aesthetics. He then criticized the designer saying, ” It seems cheap thrills of calling one another rout with little to no originality is the tea of the day.” Yikes!

Regardless, his insights offer an important lesson. Encouraging designers to find common ground and encouraging them to embrace the fact that influences come from all ends will only enrich the industry.

The Board of Directors of Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) announced the company’s financial results for the year ended December 31st, 2023. The company posted a profit after tax of PKR 5.8 billion for 2023 compared to the loss of PKR 72 million in 2022.

In October 2023, Shell Petroleum Company Limited, a subsidiary of Shell plc (Shell), signed an agreement to sell its 77.42% majority interest in Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) to Wafi Energy LLC. The completion of the transaction is subject to requisite regulatory approvals, completion of legal requirements and satisfaction of other closing formalities.

SPL acknowledges and welcomes the Government’s recent decision to increase industry margins and take robust measures to combat black market activities, which are aimed at stabilizing the currency.

The Mobility business continues to provide best-in-class customer value proposition for customers across the country, with the introduction of 27 new sites and modernizing of its existing network, while promoting safe refueling, easy payment solutions and introducing customer-centric programs. Shell Lubricants continues to maintain market share despite industry challenges.

Shell Tameer plays a keen role in upskilling and recognizing young entrepreneurs. Learning sessions were organized across Pakistan engaging universities and incubation centers, training over 700 individuals which included 560 startups.
