A new application called ‘Karachi Price List’ has been launched by the city administration. The application will show the prices of various daily commodities online including grocery, fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry.
This initiative will enable the citizens to ensure the retail rates of daily use items in accordance with the price list issued by the government.
It will also aim to control the prices of daily use items across the city.
‘Karachi Price List’ has been uploaded on Google’s Play Store with provisions of English, Urdu and Sindhi languages.

Android users can download the application from the Google Playstore.
Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani said that citizens will be able to lodge complaints against price hike through the app to which immediate action would be taken.
The commissioner Karachi said:
All deputy commissioners have been directed to make effective measures to properly introduce the application among the masses so that citizens could benefit from it.
Commissioner Karachi said that the city administration officers have also been asked to check that the price lists were displayed in shops and other outlets.
He has also advised the citizens to compare the rates of daily commodities to the official prices before buying them in the metropolis.
Moreover, the commissioner informed that the prices of fruit, meat, vegetables, poultry, and grocery and bakery items would be updated daily for the convenience of people using the KPL application.
