PCB Confirms Schedule Of Pakistan-England Test Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has just announced the completed schedule for the much-anticipated three-match Test series against England. The series will be part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2023-25. The three-match series will be played from October 7-28.

A Shift in Venues

In a last-minute change, the PCB has shifted the second Test match from Karachi to Multan. Initially planned at the National Stadium in Karachi from October 15 to 19, the match has been moved due to renovation work.

The National Bank Stadium is getting a major facelift ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. With construction in full swing, Multan Cricket Stadium has stepped in to host the match.

What About the Other Matches?

The first Test will still kick off in Multan from October 7 to 11, and after the relocated second Test, the teams will head to Rawalpindi for the grand finale from October 24 to 28.

Both teams are set to arrive in Multan on October 2, giving them plenty of time to settle in and prepare. England’s squad will be eager to adapt to the local conditions, while Pakistan will be looking to make the most of their home advantage.

England’s captain Ben Stokes is arguably the best all-rounder in the longer format of the game. However, his participation in the series against Pakistan is doubtful. The big question everyone’s talking about is whether Stokes will be fit to lead his team.
