Elon Musk said on Saturday that he is forming a third political party after a public fallout with President Donald Trump. The move follows Musk’s opposition to Trump’s domestic policy bill, which he claims will add trillions to the national deficit.
“When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy,” Musk wrote on X. “Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.”
Until recently, Musk was Trump’s top individual donor and adviser. He led efforts to slash federal spending and supported the president’s 2024 campaign. Their rift began when Musk criticised the spending bill, calling it “debt slavery.”
Musk deleted earlier posts attacking Trump but reignited tension this week as the bill neared passage. Trump signed it into law on Friday.
There is no current FEC record of a registered political entity under Musk’s name. He has said the America Party will focus on select House and Senate races during the 2026 midterm elections.
While Musk shares Trump’s stance on many social issues, he has sharply broken with Republicans over fiscal policy.
Trump responded by threatening to review federal contracts with Musk’s companies. He also called the Department of Government Efficiency, a “monster” that may “go back and eat Elon.”
Musk’s party would be the most high-profile third-party challenge since Ross Perot’s 1992 campaign. Experts say legal, financial, and voter resistance make third-party success extremely difficult.
Still, Musk appears committed to moving forward.

The death toll from the five-storey building collapse in Lyari has surged to 27. Among them were nine women, 15 men, and three children, including a one-year-old.
Rescue teams worked overnight in Lyari on Friday, removing bodies from the rubble on Fida Husain Shaikha Road, near Lea Market. By Saturday, the operation was 80% complete. According to Rescue 1122, the remaining effort may take five to six hours.
Officials stated that several people are still missing. Meanwhile, five more have been injured, including three women. Ten injured people have already been discharged.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, after leading theAshura procession, confirmed the rescue efforts. He said, “Bodies have been handed over to families.”
The chief minister announced a full investigation into the collapse. The building, he revealed, was built just months ago and lacked approval. He promised strict action against those involved.
He also shared that 480+ buildings in old Karachi, mainly in District South, are considered dangerous. The government will help relocate affected residents.
However, many resist evacuation due to poverty or lack of awareness. CM Murad stressed, “Safety must come first.”
He urged buyers to always verify building approvals before renting or purchasing any property.

Roads are less busy today all around the country. There is a heaviness in the surroundings. The tenth of Muharram, YoumeAshur, has arrived, bringing with it memories of Karbala that never fade.
People began gathering early in the morning not to celebrate, but to mourn. This is for a man who stood strong while everyone else stayed quiet, Hazrat Imam Hussain (Razi Allah Ta’ala Anho). Who chose truth over survival. Who didn’t bend in front of injustice, even when everything was on cost.
It’s not just a ritual. It’s personal. Families pass down stories of Karbala like heirlooms. Kids hear the name “Hussain” and learn it means courage. It means standing your ground when right and wrong aren’t just concepts; they’re lines in the sand.
Processions moved through city streets, slow and somber. Men, women, children, some with tears, some in silence, all united in grief. And in every majlis, Ulema and Zakireen reminded everyone what that sacrifice meant.
The security was rigorous. But no earthly force can protect the spirit Ashura carries. It dwells in people, in their steps, their prayers, their sorrow.
Earlier this month, on the first of Muharram, we also remembered Hazrat Umar ibn alKhattab (RA) a leader, a martyr, a supporter of early Islam. His death, too, was characterised by suffering and direction.
Ashura is not only a day of grief. It mirrors itself. It asks us what we stand for.
And just like that, Karbala speaks again.

In Mirpur, stakeholders anticipate that the new facility will bridge aviation gaps for Azad Kashmir, while Hyderabad’s airport.
In a bold push to modernise national aviation infrastructure, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has commenced work on multiple new airport projects across the country. These initiatives aim to strengthen Pakistan’s aviation network while addressing long-standing connectivity gaps in underserved areas.
As part of the plan, new airports are being developed in Mirpur (Azad Jammu and Kashmir), Dera Ismail Khan, and Hyderabad. Simultaneously, the government has initiated the reconstruction and expansion of Sukkur Airport to elevate it to a regional aviation hub. The strategic focus remains on improving accessibility, enabling efficient air travel, and unlocking economic potential in emerging regions.
Land Acquisition, Feasibility Studies, and Regional Impact
The government has made swift progress, with feasibility studies nearing completion and land acquisition already underway in Dera Ismail Khan. Authorities view the D.I. Khan airport as a long-overdue step towards improving air mobility for southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and neighbouring districts. Officials believe the development will create long-term value by enhancing intercity trade, tourism, and connectivity.
In Mirpur, stakeholders anticipate that the new facility will bridge aviation gaps for Azad Kashmir, while Hyderabad’s airport is expected to streamline business and cargo movement for interior Sindh. These locations were strategically chosen based on projected passenger volume, logistical needs, and regional growth outlook.
Sukkur Expansion and Hyderabad Aviation School on the Horizon
During a recent briefing to lawmakers, the PAA outlined detailed plans for the revamp of Sukkur Airport, including a full-scale reconstruction of the current terminal and the addition of a new passenger facility. Authorities envision Sukkur becoming a key northern Sindh aviation gateway, offering enhanced domestic operations and future international potential.
Meanwhile, the government has instructed the PAA to initiate commercial flight operations from Hyderabad Airport. Alongside this, plans are in motion to establish an aviation training school at the same site. This move will support technical education, create employment pathways in the aviation sector, and align with broader goals to build a skilled workforce in aviation and aeronautics.
These combined efforts form part of Pakistan’s overarching strategy to revitalise its aviation infrastructure, stimulate local economies, and ensure equitable development across all provinces.

Israeli forces launched multiple airstrikes in densely populated areas, intensifying the conflict’s toll on civilians.
Israeli military strikes across Gaza since dawn on Saturday have resulted in the deaths of at least 35 Palestinians, according to local hospital sources cited by Al Jazeera. The strikes occurred while ceasefire negotiations remained active, with both sides signalling movement towards a temporary truce.
Details of the Latest Attacks
Israeli forces launched multiple airstrikes in densely populated areas, intensifying the conflict’s toll on civilians. In central Gaza’s Maghazi refugee camp, an air raid targeted a family home, killing at least two individuals. A separate strike in Gaza’s az-Zarqa neighbourhood claimed one life and injured several others, according to Palestinian news reports.
One of the most severe incidents occurred when Israeli forces attacked a school that was sheltering displaced civilians, resulting in at least five deaths. In another particularly deadly assault, seven members of a single family died after a tent in al-Mawasi was hit.
Hospital sources reported that at least two civilians waiting for humanitarian aid distribution were also killed in the early-morning attacks.
This renewed wave of airstrikes, observers note, reflects a pattern often seen before potential ceasefire agreements, whereby bombardments escalate immediately before a truce is finalized.
Cross-Border Strikes in Southern Lebanon
Simultaneously, an Israeli drone strike hit the town of Shebaa in southern Lebanon, near the tri-border region adjoining Lebanon, Syria, and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Authorities have not yet released official casualty figures related to that strike.
Ceasefire Framework: Provisions and Conditions
The proposed ceasefire agreement, reportedly under the mediation of the United States, outlines a 60-day pause in hostilities. According to Al Jazeera, US President Donald Trump is expected to guarantee the arrangement.
As part of the deal:
Hamas has agreed to release 10 Israeli hostages alive.
The group will also return the remains of 18 others.
The exchange will begin on the first day of the ceasefire.
Humanitarian aid, including food and medical supplies, will be delivered through existing international mechanisms, notably the United Nations and the Red Crescent.
In return, Israel would suspend all offensive military operations across Gaza. This includes a daily 10-hour pause in military activities and surveillance flights.
Furthermore, Israeli forces would repositionfrom key areas, including northern Gaza, the Netzarim Corridor, and other southern sectors of the Strip. The framework also mandates that negotiations for a permanent ceasefire commence as soon as the temporary truce takes effect.
International Response and Regional Developments
Meanwhile, mass protests erupted in Sanaa, Yemen, where thousands of demonstrator primarily Houthi supporters, gathered to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans condemning the Israeli offensive.
Since October 2023, Yemen’s Houthi movement has fired missiles and drones towards Israel in what it claims are retaliatory actions in support of Gaza’s population.
Background: Gaza Conflict and Legal Proceedings
Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, which began in October 2023, has resulted in the deaths of at least 57,012 Palestinians, including over 134,000 children. The offensive has injured more than 111,000 and left over 14,200 missing and presumed dead.
In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.
Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). These proceedings remain ongoing, even as ceasefire proposals introduce a potential turning point in the protracted conflict.

The Chief Statistician delivered the inflation report, noting key shifts across food and commodity categories.
Pakistan’s inflation rate dropped sharply to 4.5% in FY2024–25, a significant improvement from 23.4% in the previous fiscal year, as government policies and supply-side reforms took effect.
Government Reviews Inflation Trends and Policy Performance
Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, chaired a high-level meeting to assess inflationary trends and price dynamics nationwide. The Chief Statistician delivered the inflation report, noting key shifts across food and commodity categories. Attendees included the Chief Economist, senior officials from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, and representatives from both federal and provincial departments.
Urban Food Inflation and Regional Disruptions
Urban food inflation declined to 4.2%, down from 6.2% last year, signaling progress in market stabilisation. However, the report acknowledged regional price disruptions due to recent highway blockages in Sindh, which caused localised inflationary pressure.
Price Movement of Key Commodities
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reported price drops in various essential items, including:
LPG
Bananas
Mustard oil
Chickpeas
Moong dal
However, the price of sugar surged to nearly Rs. 190 per kilogram in many cities, driven by a sharp decline in domestic sugar production. This year’s sugar output fell to 5.8 million tons, compared to 6.8 million tons last year. To ease the pressure, the Ministry of Food has initiated plans to import 500,000 tons of sugar to stabilise market prices.
Monitoring Tools Underutilised by Provinces
Minister Ahsan Iqbal emphasised the need for rigorous monitoring using the Price Scorecard system. He pointed out significant disparities in platform usage:
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Secretary accessed it 114 times
Sindh only 10 times
Punjab 6 times
Balochistan had no recorded activity
Among Deputy Commissioners:
Islamabad logged in 27 times
Karachi 6 times
Quetta 4 times
The Minister voiced concern over the low engagement levels by certain provinces and directed the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) to submit monthly login reports to each province’s Chief Secretary.
Action Plan for Stronger Price Oversight
To strengthen price control efforts, the Minister instructed:
Deputy Commissioners to compare wholesale and retail prices regularly
Immediate corrective actions where discrepancies arise
Provincial governments to provide active oversight and logistical support
He also stressed the urgent need for an advance supply-demand plan for Ramadan, ensuring timely distribution and price stability during the holy month.
Looking Ahead: Sustaining Stability
The Minister praised price stability during Eid Al-Adha, urging authorities to maintain this momentum. He called for stronger coordination between federal and provincial governments to preserve low inflation and prevent future shocks.

Donald Trump has launched a new perfume named “Victory 45-47”, priced at $249. It features a gold statuette symbolising Trump and is meant for both men and women. The scent is marketed as representing “confidence, beauty and unstoppable determination.”
Trump promoted the perfume on his social media, urging followers, “Buy a bottle for yourself and don’t forget to buy one for your loved ones. Enjoy, have fun and keep winning!”
The name of the fragrance links to themes of “Victory, Strength and Success.” The new product adds to Trump’s branded line of sneakers, coins, watches and more.
This perfume launch follows his earlier collection titled “Fight! Fight! Fight!” released in December. That version sold at $199 and also focused on strength and bold messaging. Trump’s continued push into merchandise shows his focus on consumer branding during his political campaigns.
A recent report from June stated that Trump earned $2.5 million last year just from the sales of sneakers and perfume. Other Trump-themed products include the $69.99 “God Bless the USA” Bible and $299 “Trump Landslide” boots. These items have attracted both loyal buyers and strong criticism.
Online backlash followed soon after the new launch. A user on X wrote, “16 million Americans are about to lose their healthcare, but go buy my ugly perfume…”
Another added, “It’s so embarrassing there are no words to describe it.”
A third posted, “He embarrasses the country and makes his supporters look like fools every day.”
The public’s anger is linked to a Senate-approved bill called “One Big Beautiful.” The bill cuts $128 billion from state funds for SNAP and nearly $880 billion from Medicaid. That could strip over 10 million Americans of their health coverage.
As luxury products roll out, critics point to widening gaps between leadership actions and the needs of citizens.

Mango season is upon us! An annual festival that brings immeasurable sweetness and joy, mangoes give Karachiites a much-needed treat in a hot and humid environment.
Some prefer to eat mangoes on their own, while others get creative in the kitchen. Mango Kulfi, Lassi, and Chaat are often prepared and enjoyed at home.
However, a new Mango dessert has watered mouths in Karachi. We love sweet mangoes and well-cooked rice. Imagine the magic you could create if you combined both!
That is precisely what the Thai recipe of the Mango Sticky Rice has accomplished. You can make it at home, but Karachi also offers some incredible options.
Chop Chop Wok
Soft sticky rice, perfectly sliced ripe mangoes, and a ramekin of warm coconut milk as the creamy topping. This is how Mango Sticky Rice is served at Chop Chop Wok.
In addition to the neat presentation, the Thai dessert is elegant, sweet, and soothing. Karachites are not the only ones who can enjoy this summer delight, as Chop Chop Wok is also located in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
A restaurant dedicated to bringing authentic Pan-Asian flavours to Karachiites, Fuchsia Kitchen has nailed its Thai cuisine.
Their Mango Sticky Rice has the perfect blend of ingredients, featuring warm rice, creamy coconut milk, and tender, sliced mangoes. The soothing ambience also adds to the experience.
Located in Clifton, Jinsoku is another hot spot for fetching delicious Mango Sticky Rice in Karachi. Judging by the number of Instagram posts, it may also be among the most popular.
Rather than spacing the ingredients, Jinsoku has stacked them one on top of another to achieve a delicate balance. Coconut-infused rice is topped with fresh mangoes and toasted coconut.
A strong competitor in the market of mango desserts, Routine provides a unique and enjoyable variation of the Thai Mango Sticky Rice.
Nonetheless, there have been concerns about their high prices. Some may have also drawn attention to an inconsistent flavour profile due to unsweetened mangoes.

Congress just voted in favour of a huge tax and spending bill referred to as the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” It passed the House narrowly, 218–214, after being approved in the Senate, 51–50. President Trump will sign it on July 4. That makes it law in short order.
Tax Cuts
The bill makes permanent Trump’s 2017 tax savings. It eliminates taxes on car loan interest, tips, and overtime. Families receive an increased child credit, and seniors can deduct up to $6,000 if they make less than $75,000. In total, it provides approximately $4.5 trillion in long-term tax relief.
The bill allocates funds for defence and border control. It provides $160 billion for the military and $350 billion for immigration enforcement, including expansion of detention facilities. However, it reduces Medicaid by $1 trillion and cuts food aid.Clean energy programmess are also being rolled back.
Bigger Deficit Ahead
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that this bill will increase the national debt by $3.3–$3.4 trillion over the next ten years. Critics say it jeopardises fiscal stability but supporters maintain the tax reductions will stimulate growth, and deeper deficits will not follow.
In either case, the U.S. will borrow more.
High-income earners and corporations are obvious winners. Such individuals gain most from permanent tax reductions and eased deductions. The poor families suffer most. Millions can lose Medicaid or SNAP. Experts warn thousands could lose health benefits and food assistance.
Political Maneuvering
Republicans pushed the bill through using budget reconciliation to circumvent a Senate filibuster. They mobilised support despite slim margins. Democrats organised intense opposition, including an eight-hour speech by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, but Republicans pulled it off.
Congress passes the Big Beautiful Bill
Trump toasted at an Iowa rally, declaring the package historic. He used a derogatory term to refer to bankers, which evoked outrage. Nevertheless, supporters cheered the forecast of bigger paychecks and tighter borders.
The Road Ahead
The bill becomes law after Trump’s July 4 signature. Then comes the tricky part: implementing complex tax changes, border plans, and cuts to health programs. States must adjust Medicaid rules. Federal departments must roll back energy incentives.
It might take months or years to see the full effects.
This “Big Beautiful Bill” is a watershed change in U.S. policy. It solidifies Trump-era tax cuts. It focuses on defence and border security. And it cuts welfare and energy programmes.
It comes at a prohibitively high price: a record-breaking deficit and stretched-thin aid to millions. That makes it both a political victory and a fiscal gamble.

The National High Performance Centre’s Director Aqib Javed, never one to mince his words, has sent a stern warning to senior batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
During a candid media interaction on the final day of the Skills Development Camp, Aqib Javed revealed that both Babar and Rizwan were part of open, no-holds-barred discussions aimed at reflection rather than just repetition.
“We worked with both Babar and Rizwan and had honest discussions with them on how to enhance their game,” Aqib shared, hinting that no player, regardless of star power, is above scrutiny.
“You can’t fix everything in six days, but you can certainly point out areas that need work and get players thinking about where they stand.”
It wasn’t about technical drills alone. This was more about mindset, clarity, and reconnecting with the fundamentals.
Not Just Nets and Throwdowns
The camp wasn’t your usual net session routine. According to Aqib Javed, it served multiple purposes, from breaking the off-season rust to forging connections with new coaches.
“This was about keeping players engaged in the off-season, maintaining intensity, and getting them used to early morning routines again,” he said. “Camps like this are essential if we want our players ready for the challenges ahead.”
With series against Australia and South Africa as well as tournaments such as the Asia Cup, and the T20 World Cup all looming, Pakistan’s bench strength and mental readiness will be tested more than ever.
Pace Duo Back in Action
There was some good news on the fast-bowling front. Both Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr. have made full recoveries from injury and were seen bowling at full pace during the camp.
“Naseem had been struggling earlier, but now he’s back bowling full tilt. Wasim Jr. has also returned to rhythm,” Aqib confirmed.
Perhaps the most striking takeaway from Aqib’s briefing was his firm stance on the kind of cricket Pakistan must embrace moving forward.
“To win in modern-day white-ball cricket, you need to go past 200 regularly,” he stressed. “We’re not looking at seniority, we’re looking at who fits the role best.”
In closing, Aqib summed up the purpose of the camp in a sentence that might stick with players for a while: “This camp was the beginning,” he said. “Now the real test is how much the players apply what they’ve been told.”

When Shubman Gill walked out to bat at Edgbaston, few would’ve predicted what was to come. By the time he walked off, 269 runs later, he had become a record-breaker, a history-maker and, perhaps, the future face of Indian Test cricket.
Let’s unpack this extraordinary knock that has cricket fans buzzing across the globe.
A First for India in England
At just 25, Gill became the first Indian captain to score a double century on English soil, a landmark achievement in itself. But that was only the tip of the iceberg.
His majestic 269 off 387 deliveries, laced with 30 boundaries and three sixes, didn’t just silence the England bowlers. It rewrote the record books.
Gill surpassed a 35-year-old record held by Mohammad Azharuddin for the highest score by an Indian skipper in a Test innings in England.
Outdoing Legends
Let’s take a moment to appreciate what this innings really means in the broader context of Indian cricket:
Most runs by an Indian captain in a Test innings: Gill’s 269 overtakes Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 254 against South Africa in 2019.
Highest Test score by an Indian outside Asia: He left behind none other than Sachin Tendulkar, whose unbeaten 241 at the SCG in 2004 had stood tall for two decades.
Third-highest away score by an Indian: Only Virender Sehwag’s 309 in Multan and Rahul Dravid’s 270 in Rawalpindi are better than this one.
Seventh-highest score for India in Test history: Another elite list, another feather in Gill’s cap.
Elite Company at Edgbaston
Gill’s 269 is now the eighth-highest score by a visiting batter in England and the third-highest at Edgbaston itself. Only Graeme Smith (277) and Zaheer Abbas (274) have gone bigger at this venue. That’s some fine company to keep.
And speaking of special clubs, Shubman Gill now joins a rare group of batters who have:
Scored centuries in their first two Tests as captain – alongside the likes of Virat Kohli, Sunil Gavaskar and Vijay Hazare.
Registered double-hundreds in both ODIs and Tests – joining the legendary quartet of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma and Chris Gayle.
A Statement Knock
This wasn’t just a milestone innings; it was a statement. After his composed century at Leeds in the series opener, Gill arrived at Edgbaston with momentum and confidence. What he delivered was not just a captain’s knock, but the kind of innings that sets the tone for an entire era.
He weathered the early movement, counter-punched when needed, and took complete control once set. It was classical Test match batting at its very best.

Planning to step out of your comfort zone and wish to study abroad? Chances are that you are also eyeing the same countries, such as the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia, that almost everyone is pursuing.
However, do you know the fallout of these choices? Everyone wishes to visit these places, and as a result, demand rises, leading to all the options becoming saturated. Instead, we need to switch to options that not many are looking at. Malaysia is one of them. Studying in Malaysia might just be the biggest favour that you can do for your career (not even an exaggeration).
Studying in Malaysia is Becoming a Top Choice in 2025
If you’ve never considered it before, 2025 might be the perfect time to add Malaysia to your study abroad shortlist. This Southeast Asian gem is becoming one of the most attractive destinations for international students.
Global World Class Education with an Asian Twist
Malaysia offers the best of both worlds: world-class education at a lower cost. Internationally recognised degrees, English as the primary language of instruction, and partnerships with top UK, Australian, and American universities mean you’re not compromising on quality.
Malaysia is home to globally recognised universities, including international branch campuses like the University of Nottingham, Monash University, and Heriot-Watt. These institutions offer the same curriculum and standards as their UK or Australian campuses, but at nearly half the tuition cost!
This means you can start your degree in Malaysia and finish it in the UK, Australia, or elsewhere. All while saving significantly on tuition and living costs.
Global education with an Asian twist
Affordable Education Without Student Debt
Living in Malaysia is much more affordable than in Western countries. One of the best reasons to study in Malaysia is the affordable tuition fees.
While tuition prices vary by course, studying in Malaysia allows one to receive a comparable quality of education to that offered in other, more developed countries.
On top of that, the cost of living is refreshingly reasonable. You can enjoy a good lifestyle, rent a decent apartment, eat out, travel, and still stay within budget. A typical student spends an estimated RM1,500–RM2,500 per month, which is quite affordable for international living.
Financial aid is also available for international students, but you’ll need to apply for it. This includes government grants, tuition funds, loans, bursaries, and scholarships offered by the Malaysian government, universities, and private sector NGOs.
Affordable Education Without Student Debt
Easy Visa Process and Flexible Entry Routes
One of the biggest advantages Malaysia offers is its student-friendly visa process. Unlike countries where student visas are accompanied by lengthy wait times and complex documentation, Malaysia maintains an efficient and straightforward process.
Also, students have the option to enter through pathway programmes, credit transfer options, or even directly into top-ranked international degrees offered locally.
International students will require a ‘Student Pass,’ which is essentially a student visa to study in Malaysia. You can do this online or ask the institution you’re applying for to do it on your behalf. For a seamless Visa process, prepare these documents in advance:
A copy of your passport
A copy of your university acceptance/offer letter
Passport-sized photograph
Academic transcripts and relevant certificates.
Proof of insurance
Proof of sufficient funds for your studies.
English-Medium Programmes and a Multicultural Hub
Worried about language barriers? Don’t be. Most Malaysian universities use English as the main language of instruction, making it easier for international students to adapt and thrive academically.
Plus, Malaysia is a true cultural melting pot. With a vibrant mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous cultures, you’ll experience diversity every day, both inside and outside the classroom.
Soft Skill Advantage: Living in such a diverse setting enhances your cross-cultural communication skills. This is a big plus in today’s global job market.
Strong Industry Links and Career Support
Malaysia isn’t just a place to get a degree; it’s a place to launch your career simultaneously. With a growing economy and booming sectors like IT, finance, tourism, logistics, and engineering, students get access to internships, industry placements, and job fairs.
Many universities have dedicated career centres and partnerships with top companies to help students transition smoothly into the workforce.
Additionally, there are part-time work options available to students during their studies, making it easier to support themselves and gain real-world experience.
Strategic Location and Safe For Students
Malaysia sits at the heart of Southeast Asia, making it an ideal travel base. Weekend trips to Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore? Absolutely possible.
Additionally, Malaysia’s domestic travel scene is also impressive. From the modern skyline of Kuala Lumpur to the pristine beaches of Langkawi and the jungles of Borneo, there’s always something new to explore.
Malaysia is also considered one of the safest countries in Asia for international students. Cities like Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor Bahru are well-connected, modern, and full of amenities. Malaysians are renowned for their friendliness and warmth, making it easy to feel at home, even if you’re far from your own country.
Final Verdict: Why Settle for Less When You Can Have More?
Studying in Malaysia is probably the best thing you can do for your career as well as for your budget. Especially in 2025, when it’s more important than ever to choose a country that gives you the best value for your education investment. Don’t overlook Malaysia.
Otherwise, if you wish to stay in Pakistan, our local universities aren’t behind in education either. Might as well do your research about it, too.

If there’s one thing Ravindra Jadeja has always been known for, it’s his passion for the game, and during the second Test against England at Edgbaston, that passion slightly overstepped the rulebook.
When Rules Meet Routine
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had implemented new standard operating procedures (SOPs) after the Australia tour, one of which clearly stated: all players must travel together to and from the ground via the team bus.
On Day 2 at Edgbaston, Jadeja showed up early at the ground, ahead of the team bus, to squeeze in some extra batting practice. On paper, that’s a breach. But in spirit? It was simply a cricketer preparing for battle.
Why Jadeja Did It?
Ravindra Jadeja wasn’t trying to defy authority or pull a solo act, but was being a professional. With India starting the day at a tricky position and the ball still relatively new, he wanted to sharpen up early. And as it turns out, that decision paid off in the best way possible.
“Somewhere I felt that I should go and bat extra because the ball was still new. If I could see the new ball off, it would become easier for the rest of the innings,” Jadeja said after the day’s play.
A Game-Changing Partnership
Walking in with India wobbling at 210/5, Jadeja joined hands with Shubman Gill to build a monumental 203-run partnership. He fell just short of a century, dismissed for a gritty 89 by a sharp Josh Tongue delivery, but by then, the damage was done.
Jadeja’s innings was exactly what the team needed, a steady, composed effort under pressure that helped India post a total of over 500 runs.
“To come in at 210 for 5 and build a big partnership — that’s a challenge I enjoy,” he added. “Batting with the captain, staying at the crease, it boosts your confidence as a batter.”
No Punishment, Just Perspective
Yes, he broke a rule. But cricket isn’t played by robots following rigid instructions; it’s played by people who care. And Jadeja’s early arrival wasn’t about skipping protocol, it was about putting the team first.
The BCCI seems to agree. His intent, combined with his performance, means he’s unlikely to face any disciplinary action.
Ravindra Jadeja may have bent the rules, but he bent them with purpose. His commitment to preparation and hunger to deliver under pressure not only helped India but also reminded everyone why he’s one of the most valuable assets in the team.

The Bank extends its deepest gratitude to the Sponsor for his unwavering support and vision for BML and Pakistan’s banking sector.
Karachi, July 3, 2025 – Bank Makramah Limited (BML) is making significant strides in its recapitalization efforts, reinforcing its commitment to long-term financial stability and growth. This progress is supported by a recent PKR 5 billion deposit from His Excellency Nasser Abdulla Hussain Lootah, BML’s esteemed Sponsor.
This amount, to be recorded as an advance against share subscription pending regulatory approvals, follows his earlier PKR 10 billion capital injection in 2023. In addition, the proposed merger of Global Haly Development Limited, a company owned by the Sponsor, into BML reflects his substantial commitment, which will total PKR 41 billion. The Bank extends its deepest gratitude to the Sponsor for his unwavering support and vision for BML and Pakistan’s banking sector.
In a concurrent strategic move, BML’s Board of Directors has approved the sale of Cullinan Tower in Clifton, Karachi, for a confirmed offer of PKR 12 billion. This landmark transaction represents a major step, which will result in significant liquidity and capital gains for the Bank.
Further bolstering its financial position, the Bank is in the final stage of recovering over PKR 13 billion of its legacy non-performing loans in the near future resulting in a strong impact on its profitability and capital base.
All of the above initiatives are projected to increase BML’s net assets by around PKR 50 billion. This shall further strengthen the Bank’s commitment to better serve its customers and play a significant role in the financial sector of Pakistan.
The Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) website is now showing vulgar and adult language on Google. Users searching “EOBI Pakistan” can see inappropriate terms that are usually seen on adult websites.
This has caused major concern since the EOBI is a federal welfare institution. The website falls under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. To date, no official statement has been issued by the authorities.
A user has reported that EOBI’s website may have been using a cracked WordPress theme. The user claimed, “individuals who published the crack exploited it as a backdoor to inject SEO backlinks to their porn site searches.” This claim suggests the attackers used the cracked theme to plant adult content for search ranking manipulation.
The visible search snippet of the EOBI site includes shocking and offensive phrases. This harms the credibility of a platform meant to serve retired workers and the private sector workforce. Government websites are usually considered secure and reliable.
EOBI Website
This incident shows how vulnerable public platforms can become due to careless design choices or low-cost web tools. The use of unverified third-party content, like cracked themes, can create serious backdoors.
People have started calling for immediate action and a fix for the issue. Many believe the government should invest in better web security for official portals. So far, users have only seen the issue on Google’s search preview, not on the website pages themselves.
Still, this kind of breach affects trust in public service systems. Officials need to act fast, clean the metadata, and ensure proper protection in the future. The longer it stays, the more it damages the institution’s reputation.

Astronomers just detected an interstellar object, which is now designated as 3I/ATLAS or C/2025 N1. It speeds through our solar system at approximately 60 km/s. That’s approximately 37 miles per second. It’s the third interstellar visitor, following Oumuamua and Borisov.
Discovery and Trajectory
Chilean telescopes spotted the object on July 1, 2025. Previous observations followed it back to June 14. It appeared from the Sagittarius direction, and its hyperbolic trajectory proves it didn’t come from here. It’s arriving from interstellar space (beyond our solar system) and will depart.
The interstellar object passing through our solar system
Viewers caught a slight coma and a short tail, indicating it acts like a comet. Its initial brightness suggests a diameter of up to 20 km, but possibly a smaller solid core. Scientists liken it to Borisov, another icy intruder, but 3I/ATLAS is considerably larger.
Safe Distance, Close Look
NASA assured that it poses no threat. It will not approach closer than 1.6 AU, or around 150 million miles, from Earth. It will come closest to the Sun on October 30, crossing within the orbit of Mars. It will then depart our solar system once more.
This is the third confirmed interstellar visitor in documented history. These excursions could become more frequent as sky surveys become better. Every sighting provides a rare opportunity to examine material from another star system.
Scientists are eager to discover what these visitors tell us about planetary evolution and the broader galaxy.
Observation Opportunities
Amateur astronomers will be able to view it through telescopes later in the year. As it swings by the Sun and gets brighter, it will become easier to see. The Virtual Telescope Project and others will live stream it. The comet will be seen in the night sky between late 2025 and early 2026.

Our solar system is not alone. Visitors such as this carry messages from other worlds. They enable scientists to test theories on the formation of planets throughout the galaxy. Each interstellar visitor contributes to this cosmic jigsaw.
What to Look Out For
Brightness: The coma and tail may become brighter as the object heats up.
Orbit: It will pass by Mars in October.
Visibility: Amateur telescopes should be able to see it shortly.
Aftermath: Larger observatories will analyse its makeup.
These rare visits remind us that our Sun shares space with countless other stars. Each visitor carries secrets from their home system. Studying them teaches us more about our place in the universe. It also hints at what lies beyond our reach, waiting to be discovered.

Yes, there is a company out there that has briefly surpassed the tech giant Apple! Nvidia approached a mind-boggling $4 trillion market cap this week. At one stage, the firm’s worth reached $3.92 trillion, slightly above Apple’s record-breaking $3.915 trillion high!
A $163.93 per-share increase would propel Nvidia into the record books as the first firm to achieve this feat.
What’s Behind This Run?
AI is where investors are placing their big bucks. Nvidia controls the AI chip market. Its processors power large language models for industry leaders such as Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Alphabet, and Tesla. Wedbush analysts estimate that Nvidia may reach $4 trillion by summer and potentially $5 trillion within 18 months.
Nvidia
Drivers:
AI chip demand: Busting demand in data centres and AI building.
Global optimism: Relaxing China chip export regulations may further boost stocks.
Reasonable valuation: The stock’s price is approximately 32 times forward earnings, which is reasonably priced given its growth prospects.
Nvidia’s surge redefines markets. It’s a saturated market, with its capital already surpassing the total value of UK-listed firms and those listed in Canada and Mexico. The company now represents 7-8% of the S&P 500 index.
It momentarily surpassed both Apple and Microsoft in value. Microsoft is valued at approximately $3.7 trillion, while Apple lags at $3.19 trillion.
Increasing Targets and Warnings
Other companies predict even larger victories. Loop Capital increased its target price to $250—a move that would propel the market capitalisation to $6 trillion. However, others fear that the excitement will outpace actual-world AI advancements.
Source: WCCTech
Nvidia has approximately 36,000 employees. It generates more than $90 million of market value per employee, which is double the productivity of most technology companies. Despite lean hiring, it drives a significant portion of the AI revolution.
If Nvidia surpasses $4 trillion, it will pave the way for a new chapter in corporate history. It would be the first perennially reigning tech monarch. However, there are obstacles in the way: global trade tensions, increased competition, and regulatory challenges. Tech investors need to monitor earnings, chips such as Rubin and B40, and export policy.
Nvidia occupies the threshold of history. It stands poised to be the most valuable company in history. The AI gold rush that rises also carries enormous danger. One thing is clear: Nvidia now dictates markets around the world and has the power to redefine what’s possible in the age of technology.
