Israel-India Collaboration in Operation Sindoor Revealed

israel-india-collaboration-in-operation-sindoor-revealed-hamid-mir-cites-zee-news-report

Senior journalist Hamid Mir has shared a report aired by Indian broadcaster Zee News, revealing that Israel partnered with India in a military campaign known as Operation Sindoor.

He presented parts of the Indian media report during his show on Geo News.

According to the Zee News report, Israeli defense personnel and advisors were part of both the strategic planning and execution stages of Operation Sindoor.

The report described the cooperation as part of the growing defence ties between India and Israel. These ties have strengthened over the years through joint military exercises, technology sharing, and counterterrorism efforts.

While the exact details of Operation Sindoor remain unclear, the report suggested that the operation included active collaboration between the two nations’ defence forces.

“The Zee News segment reportedly presented the partnership as part of enhanced defence cooperation between New Delhi and Tel Aviv,” as reported in the news.

Neither the Indian nor the Israeli governments have officially responded to the claims made in the report. However, this alleged collaboration is expected to raise concerns in Pakistan, especially in Islamabad.

The broadcast has triggered new discussions in Pakistan about the impact of these defence ties on regional security.

Hamid Mir’s decision to highlight this report has brought the issue further into the public spotlight, and it may lead to a stronger response from Pakistani officials in the coming days.

The information shared by Hamid Mir, and originally reported by Zee News, may not have full official backing, but the concerns surrounding regional stability and military partnerships are once again in focus.

4 Killed, 10 Injured As Heavy Rain Hits KP

4-killed-10-injured-as-heavy-rain-hits-kp

Heavy rain on Thursday led to four deaths and left ten people injured in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Lightning strikes and collapsing buildings caused the incidents.

Bilal Ahmad Faizi, the spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, told that Mohmand and Mardan districts reported the casualties.

“Two people were killed while one was injured in a lightning strike in Mohmand,” Faizi said. “The Rescue 1122 control room acted quickly after the report came in and sent a medical response team to the site.”

The team gave first aid to the injured person and took him to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Nawagai. Faizi said they moved the two bodies to District Headquarters Hospital Ghalnai after legal formalities.

He also said, “Rescue 1122 medical, fire and disaster teams are performing relief operations.” Some roads got blocked by fallen trees, but rescue teams and local residents are working to clear them.

In Takht-i-Bahi, a ceiling collapse killed a mother and daughter and injured a girl, said a Rescue 1122 report. A similar accident in Katlang Qasmi left a 60-year-old woman seriously hurt.

A wall collapsed on Bakhshali Cham Dheri Road, seriously injuring 15-year-old Abdul Salam. In Manga, three people suffered serious injuries when another wall gave way.

“Rescue 1122 said its medical teams gave first aid to all the wounded and shifted them to nearby hospitals,” the statement added.

The World Meteorological Organisation warned that South Asia will likely see more heavy rain and hotter temperatures during this year’s June to September southwest monsoon.

Earlier this week, storms and strong winds struck parts of KP and Punjab, killing three people and injuring several others.

FBR Seizes Rs. 80 Million Directly From Kababjees’ Accounts Without Any Warning

fbr-seizes-rs-80-million-directly-from-kababjees-accounts-without-any-warning

MNA Ikhtiar Baig informed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue on Thursday that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had recovered over Rs. 80 million from the accounts of Kababjees restaurant in Karachi without providing an opportunity for hearing in various forums.

Baig expressed concern over the harassment faced by the business community due to the FBR’s actions.

FBR Chairman Rashid Langrial assured the committee that he would investigate the matter regarding the recovery from Kababjees accounts. Committee member Mirza Iftikhar Baig raised the issue during a session chaired by Nafeesa Shah.

The chairman was unaware of the specific case but assured the committee that he would look into the situation and update them after consulting the relevant FBR field office.

This development underscores the increasing scrutiny of businesses by tax authorities in Pakistan and highlights the importance for companies to maintain transparent financial practices to avoid similar situations.

The FBR’s recent actions, including the seizure of smuggled goods worth Rs. 106.08 billion in the 2023-24 fiscal year, reflect its intensified efforts to curb financial irregularities and enforce tax compliance across various sectors.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Kababjees will respond and whether this incident will lead to broader discussions about the FBR’s methods and the rights of businesses under Pakistan’s tax laws.

Nepra Approves K-Electric’s Unrecovered Bills Recovery Tariff

nepra-approves-k-electrics-unrecovered-bills-recovery-tariff

Nepra has approved K-Electric’s request to incorporate unrecovered bills into its consumer tariff, starting with a recovery shortfall of 6.75% in 2023-24. This percentage will gradually decline to 3.5% by 2029-30.

For FY24, Nepra set K-Electric’s base tariff at Rs40 per unit, which is about 40% higher than the national average tariff of around Rs28 per unit for public sector companies in 2025-26. This difference is passed on to taxpayers through a tariff differential subsidy.

In its determination, Nepra shifted K-Electric’s tariff to account for recovery losses instead of the previous 100% recovery. Nepra also set annual targets for K-Electric to improve bill collection, with the aim to reach 96.5% by 2030.

However, the Ministry of Energy opposed the proposed recovery allowance and recommended a lower recovery ratio, starting with 96.7%.

The overall average tariff for K-Electric in FY24 is Rs39.97 per unit, factoring in power purchase, transmission, distribution, and supply margins.

K-Electric will source 48% of its power from the national grid, 42% from its own generation and 9.9% from private suppliers. Nepra has set K-Electric’s revenue requirement at Rs606.92 billion for FY24, including costs for recovery loss and operations.

Separately, Nepra approved K-Electric’s two solar projects with a combined capacity of 150MW. The projects will generate cost savings of Rs2.3 billion annually and foreign exchange savings of $17.01 million each year, totaling $425.2 million over their lifespan.

Andrew Tate and his Brother Faces Rape and Trafficking Charges: UK Prosecutors

andrew-tate-and-his-brother-faces-rape-and-trafficking-charges-uk-prosecutors

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan face charges in the UK for rape, assault and human trafficking, as prosecutors confirmed on Wednesday. The Crown Prosecution Service approved the charges in January 2024, but they were only made public recently.

Andrew, 38, faces ten criminal charges in the UK, including rape, bodily harm, trafficking, and controlling prostitution related to three women. His brother Tristan, 36, faces eleven similar charges involving one woman.

Prosecutors announced, “The UK issued a European arrest warrant in 2024, and the Romanian courts approved the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate.” However, they must first resolve ongoing cases in Romania before extradition can happen.

Romanian authorities have charged the Tate brothers with additional offenses, such as trafficking minors, engaging in sexual activities with a minor, and money laundering. Both brothers, who hold dual UK and US citizenship, deny all the charges.

The brothers traveled to Florida in February, marking their first trip abroad since their 2022 arrest in Romania. Romanian officials accuse Andrew, Tristan, and two women of forming a criminal group in 2021 to sexually exploit victims.

In the UK, Andrew faces a civil lawsuit from four British women who accuse him of rape and coercive control.

Andrew Tate, who previously ran a webcam business in the UK, gained public attention in 2016 when he appeared on the reality show Big Brother. He was removed from the show after a controversial video surfaced.

Tate later shifted to social media, where he shares his extreme views on masculinity. He has a large following on X (formerly Twitter), where he often uses offensive and discriminatory language to promote his beliefs.

Drama Erupts as Landon Nickerson Cheats on Pregnant Fiancée Wizard Liz

drama-erupts-as-landon-nickerson-cheats-on-pregnant-fiancee-wizard-liz

“We live in a world where even Wizard Liz gets cheated on,” said one X user. “This is like 9/11 for women,” added another. Yes, if you already can’t tell, the internet broke after THE Wizard Liz (the girl boss icon of Gen-Z) got cheated on. That too, while being 4 months pregnant.

How does one even trust in love anymore? Well, maybe by idolising better love stories rather than influencers, but that’s a topic for another day.

When the News First Broke

The news first broke on May 27, 2025 when the Youtuber took it to her story to announce her break up. The very first story had Liz referencing to a latest video that “gave her the signs she ignored.” The video was of a Q&A between her and her fiance, Landon Nickson and they both were discussing their thoughts on cheating.

This was followed by another story where Liz officially denounced their engagement. Why? Because the man that was once claiming he “hated cheating” and was constantly emphasising on being a “green flag,” had ended up cheating.

Here is what Liz has disclosed so far.

How Landon Cheated on His Fiancée and the Mother of His Kid

According to Liz, Nickerson maintained a secret Snapchat account to communicate with another woman and wanted to hook up with her. The girl later contacted one of Liz’s friends and provided evidence of the interaction.

Liz noted that only days before the betrayal came to light, Nickerson had been with her in London, professing his love and commitment. “He made a whole book about how much he loves me,” she wrote.

What was really shocking here was that Liz also mentioned how her fiancé apparently referred to their relationship as “fake” to this new girl he was trying to hook up with.

The mother of your kids is “fake”?

Here is that full statement:

The Youtuber also mentioned how she will be selling her engagement ring (that is worth $100k) and donating it to single moms. What a power move.

Landon Still Has Crazy Audacity!

After the news broke and the internet went crazy over Landon, he went on to his Instagram story to also share his side of the story. But honestly, it only made matters worse for him.

He was seen downplaying the severity of the situation and trying to manipulate the internet by stating that it was just “5 to 10 mins of his life” and that the person was “irrelevant.” He also said that it was just a “mistake” and that “human beings can make mistakes.”

Obviously, this only worsened the matter, because why would you make a fake ID for some ‘irrelevant?” Oh, and most importantly, cheating is never a mistake.

Of course, the internet wasn’t ready to take this, and then Landon ended up deleting all the videos and instead posted just a story with his ex-fiancée Liz (Landon read the room already).

Amid All the Controversy, This is Clear: They Will Always Blame the Woman

Ever since the controversy broke out, the internet has been divided. Ironically, nobody seems to be siding with Landon, but they still seem to be hating on Liz.

Many users started judging Liz’s religiosity and how she “deserved it” because she was “apparently” a Muslim and did something Haram (mind you, we still don’t know her relationship with Islam and neither has she been seen talking about it openly).

They even compared this with Andrew Tate’s rape and human trafficking allegations.

wizard-liz
Wizard Liz

Others claimed that Liz and Landon were a couple that was made on cheating to start with, so it was bound to fail, hence Liz “deserved it” again. This was debunked by Liz when she took to her Instagram to clear the narrative and this rumour.

She clarified how every time they came in contact, neither of them was in a relationship.

“I want to clarify something I have been sending and lies being spread: Landon was ABSOLUTELY SINGLE when he met me,” Liz said. ‘Stop this false narrative that’s just even more harmful people love to make up shit weird af.”

This just reeks of the double standards of society. People will discuss anything but look at the actual problem at hand. Why? Because it’s easier to raise a question at a woman and bring in matters between her and her creator specifically when she was wronged.

How TikTok Propelled Imman’s Pyariwalls Business From One Room To A Recognized Brand

Before TikTok, PyariWalls invested heavily in ads but struggled to reach people. After joining the platform as a trial.

In 2018, when life felt like it had hit rock bottom, one woman decided to build something no one could take away from her: her own business. From that emotional turning point, PyariWalls was born in a small room with big dreams. What started as a humble venture has now grown into a recognizable multi-city brand, powered not just by quality products but also by one of the most unexpected engines of growth: TikTok.

“I didn’t have a blueprint,” Imman Ali recalls. “I had passion, purpose, and a phone.” Every rupee earned went straight back into the business. With consistent online activity and a laser focus on quality, PyariWalls began expanding, first from city to city, and now toward bigger goals.

“It gave PyariWalls a voice, a face, and a vibe,” she says. “It wasn’t just about selling anymore. It became about storytelling, about connection.” One particular video on TikTok, where she openly shared her “zero-to-hero” journey, became the turning point. It resonated with thousands who weren’t just watching a product pitch, they were witnessing a story they could feel part of.

Before TikTok, PyariWalls invested heavily in ads but struggled to reach people. After joining the platform as a trial, everything changed. The organic reach was overwhelming. And unlike polished corporate content, PyariWalls offered something else: raw reality. Wins, failures, packaging days, and emotional moments, it all went online.

“TikTok isn’t just marketing for us,” she explains. “It’s a conversation with our community.” She engages constantly, replying to comments, going live, even shedding tears with customers who relate deeply to her journey.

Now recognized in malls and markets, she’s gone from being “the woman with a dream” to a digital force. The brand’s reach, recognition, and sales have all skyrocketed. Yet, with all the success, she hasn’t forgotten her roots. Today, she’s also teaching e-commerce, helping other aspiring entrepreneurs start their journeys. “I know what it’s like to begin with nothing,” she says. “That’s why I want to be the person I needed when starting.”

Her advice to small business owners? “You’ll feel scared in the beginning, and things might get complicated, but take the first step anyway,” she suggests. She plans to expand to bigger stores in multiple cities and use TikTok as a platform to continue inspiring and empowering others.

Taliban: Fighting in Pakistan Without Orders Violates Sharia

taliban-fighting-in-pakistan-without-orders-violates-sharia

The Taliban administration in Afghanistan warned rebel groups not to fight outside the country without formal permission.

At a recent event, Taliban commander Saeedullah Saeed said, “Fighting against the orders of the Amir, especially in countries like Pakistan, is not acceptable.”

He said those who join armed groups to fight abroad aren’t true mujahideen. Only the state Amir has the right to declare or allow jihad.

Saeed reminded that the Taliban had already banned fighters from entering Pakistan. He said ignoring this order is religious disobedience.

He added that anyone involved in illegal jihad spreads conflict and violates Islamic values. Such actions don’t qualify as true jihad.

Saeed also criticised attacks done in the name of jihad. He said they defy both Sharia law and the Afghan Emirate’s leadership.

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, called his three-day China visit “very successful.” He said the trip had urgent and clear goals.

Dar told the media this was more than a routine diplomatic visit. He had key meetings with Chinese leaders and joined trilateral talks with Afghanistan.

He said all three countries agreed to stop terrorist groups like TTP and BLA from using any country’s land to attack another. “No terrorist organisation—either TTP, BLA or others—would be permitted to use any country’s earth against another, he said.

Dar also shared updates on CPEC Phase 2. He said, “We have effectively set the conditions for more cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.”

He said the talks were detailed and showed strong progress. He expects deeper cooperation in the coming years.

More Players, Less Clarity: Pakistan’s T20I Team in Turmoil

hasan-ali-makes-roaring-return-to-international-cricket-Pakistan-t20i-team

If you’ve blinked during a Pakistan T20I match since the start of 2024, chances are you’ve missed a new debutant.

In what can only be described as a selection whirlwind, Pakistan has introduced a staggering 38 players in just 33 T20 Internationals since the start of 2024 — more than any other cricketing nation in the same period.

Add to that 10 different opening pairs, and the picture becomes clear: the team is in a relentless state of experimentation, desperately searching for the right combination with less than a year left until the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.

But amid all this chopping and changing, one thing remains worryingly absent — clarity.

An Assembly Line of Debutants

Let’s put things into perspective.

  • Pakistan: 38 debutants in 33 T20Is
  • India: 35 debutants in 31 matches
  • South Africa: 31 in 23 games
  • New Zealand: 30 in 27 games
  • Bangladesh: Only 22 in 28 matches

While other nations are trying out new players, no one’s doing it at the speed, or scale, that Pakistan is.

At first glance, this might look like depth-building. Maybe it’s a bold strategy to prepare for the 2026 T20 World Cup. But dig a little deeper, and it starts to look like something else: an identity crisis.

Opening Pair? Still Searching

The musical chairs don’t stop with debutants. Since the beginning of 2024, Pakistan has changed its T20I opening pair ten times.

In a format where stability at the top is crucial, this constant chopping and changing signals a team still in search of its ideal combination, just months before a World Cup.

One game it’s Babar and Saim. The next, Rizwan walks in with Ayub. Then Fakhar gets a shot. And just when you think someone’s nailed down a spot, a new face is tried out again.

There’s experimentation — and then there’s uncertainty. This feels dangerously close to the latter.

A World Cup Is Not the Time to Gamble

The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is just under nine months away. Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, it kicks off on February 8. That’s not far at all in cricketing terms.

You’d expect teams to be locking down their combinations by now. Settling their core. Fine-tuning roles.

But Pakistan? Still flipping through a thick manual titled “Trial & Error.”

Too Many Cooks or Recipe for Success?

Pakistan has never been short of talent. The bench strength is rich, especially in the fast bowling department. Youngsters keep coming through the domestic circuit and PSL. Giving them opportunities isn’t wrong.

But excessive shuffling can backfire. Chemistry takes time. Understanding between players takes matches, not nets, to build. T20 cricket is fast, sure. But building a cohesive team? That takes patience and consistency.

Pakistan risks heading into yet another global tournament with a squad still unsure of its roles — and a management team making last-minute changes that hurt more than help.

It’s high time the selectors and management draw a line. Yes, rotate players. Yes, reward form. But it’s crucial to finalise a pool of 15-20 players who will likely feature in the World Cup — and let them gel.

Hailey Bieber Sells Rhode to Elf for $I Billion!

hailey-bieber-sells-rhode-to-elf-for-i-billion

If you are part of Gen-Z and a makeup enthusiast, I’m sure you have heard of or used Rhode beauty by Hailey Bieber. Launched in 2022, Rhode has become one of the most popular makeup brands among today’s generation.

In a recent post by Hailey Bieber, it was announced that e.l.f. Beauty is acquiring Rhode for approximately $1 billion, providing the budget cosmetic retailer with access to a celebrity-endorsed product line.

A Brand that Stood Out

Rhode gained a cult status quite quickly after its launch in 2022. It became widely popular not just among the Gen Z but also the millennials who couldn’t get enough of the sleek packaging and simple-but-effective formulas.

Products like the Peptide Lip Treatment and Barrier Restore Cream flew off shelves and across social media, making Rhode a favourite overnight.

Over time, Hailey proved she was more than just a pretty face. Rhode was her baby, named after her middle name (Hailey Rhode Bieber)—and it was deeply personal. In interviews, she often spoke about her vision for accessible, high-performance skincare that felt luxurious but was still affordable.

So, Why did She Sell It?

The deal between Rhode and e.l.f. came as a surprise to those in the beauty industry and otherwise. In a joint statement, Hailey and e.l.f. described the move as a “strategic partnership.”

“This is about scaling the brand and reaching more people,” Hailey said. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, and now with e.l.f.’s resources and expertise, we can take Rhode to the next level.”

hailey-bieber-sells-rhode-to-elf-for-i-billion

But it Makes Prefect Sense

For e.l.f. Beauty, the acquisition makes perfect sense. The beauty company has a reputation for socially aware marketing and exciting product drops. Pairing that with Rhode’s already-loyal following and Hailey’s un-wavering influence seems like a match straight out of dreams.

Industry analysts are calling the acquisition one of the most notable beauty deals in recent years. Not only does it cements Hailey as a serious entrepreneur, but also shows that celebrity-founded brands aren’t just about big names, they’re building real equity.

And this is not going unnoticed.

Rhode is Not Going Anywhere!

Simply put, Rhode isn’t going anywhere. Hailey will remain creatively involved, and e.l.f. says it will keep the brand’s identity intact. Sigh of relief!

If anything, you can expect wider availability, global expansion, and possibly some exciting new product drops. In fact, as Hailey said in her Instagram post, “This is only the beginning.”

Guided Meditation on TikTok for Well-Being

Complementing the in-app feature, TikTok has announced a $2.3 million donation in ad credits to support 31 mental health organizations.

Karachi, Pakistan – May 26, 2025 – In a continued effort to support the mental well-being of its global community, TikTok has introduced a new in-app guided meditation feature to make mindfulness practices more accessible to users of all ages. This feature is available both in Urdu and English depending on your TikTok app’s language settings. The platform has also announced a $2.3M global mental health education fund that supports trusted organizations worldwide.

Whether the user is a teen navigating school life or an adult managing daily responsibilities, this new tool offers a simple and accessible way to practice mindfulness. These initiatives are part of TikTok’s broader commitment to digital wellness and positive impact through technology and community engagement.

Bringing in-app meditation to our entire community

Supporting Better Sleep and Mental Wellness

As part of its existing Sleep Hours feature, the new meditation experience is designed to encourage users to wind down at night with calming, guided exercises.

Research shows that mindful meditation can improve sleep quality in people of all ages, so TikTok introduced Meditation in Sleep Hours to all users, regardless of their age. For users under 18, the feature is switched on by default. After 10 p.m., teens’ “For You” feed is temporarily replaced with a guided meditation prompt. A second, harder-to-dismiss screen appears if they continue browsing, helping reinforce healthy screen time habits. In a recent internal test, TikTok found that 98% of teens chose to keep the meditation feature on.

Adult users can manually enable Sleep Hours from their Screen Time settings. In today’s fast-paced world, taking time to unwind is more important than ever. Experts recommend at least 10 minutes of daily meditation to reduce stress and improve focus. Studies from JAMA Internal Medicine and Harvard Health show that 10–15 minutes of meditation before bed can enhance sleep quality, ease anxiety, and support emotional balance.

$2.3 Million Investment in Global Mental Health Education

Complementing the in-app feature, TikTok has announced a $2.3 million donation in ad credits to support 31 mental health organizations across 22 countries through its 2025 Mental Health Education Fund. This funding, along with TikTok-led training, will help partners create engaging, credible mental health content to reach wider audiences.

TikTok is now exploring opportunities to expand this initiative across South Asia, where conversations around mental health are gaining traction.

Asma Anjum, Trust & Safety, Regional Lead for South Asia at TikTok, reflected on the changing landscape:

Enhancing Sector capabilities for Impact Financing: A Joint Effort by MoF Karandaaz, and PBA

Pakistan’s banking sector must lead from the front as we transition towards a more sustainable and impact-driven financial ecosystem.

ISLAMABAD, May 26, 2025: The Ministry of Finance (MoF), in collaboration with Karandaaz Pakistan and the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA), is hosting a two-day training workshop titled “From Value to Vision: Financing with Purpose from Pakistan’s Financial Sector” in Islamabad on May 26–27, 2025. The event has brought together senior representatives from Pakistan’s financial sector, including commercial banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), regulators, and investment experts, to explore the integration of impact financing principles into mainstream financial operations.

The training was inaugurated by Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, who emphasized the government’s commitment to innovative and inclusive financial solutions. He noted that, recognizing the urgency of resource allocation for key sectors, the Prime Minister had constituted a Committee on Social Impact Financing. This committee was tasked with charting a new course for sustainable and inclusive financial innovation. As a result, the committee developed the Social Impact Financing Framework, a strategic blueprint aimed at prioritizing developmental needs and mobilizing both public and private capital in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The framework encourages the creation of innovative financial instruments that balance financial returns with measurable social and developmental outcomes, thereby aligning investment flows with national priorities. The finance minister called on the training participants to leverage this upskilling program to adopt international best practices in impact measurement, prioritize the country’s developmental needs in their financing products, and embed impact outcomes into their operational frameworks.

Speaking about the importance of the initiative, Syed Salim Raza, Chairperson Karandaaz, said:

“Karandaaz is proud to support Pakistan’s financial sector as it transitions toward purpose-driven finance. This training is part of our broader commitment to building the institutional capacity required to align with global investment standards and deliver measurable development outcomes. By strengthening local capabilities in impact measurement and sustainable finance, we are laying the foundation for a more inclusive and resilient financial system.”

Addressing to the participants, Director Development BHC Islamabad, Jo Moir stated “This training underscores BHC’s long-term engagement with Pakistan’s financial sector. A decade ago, we supported the creation of Karandaaz as a special purpose impact finance vehicle. Today, it serves as a lighthouse for the sector, demonstrating scalable models for inclusive and sustainable finance.”

The workshop is being led by Alex MacGillivray, Executive Director at the JIM Foundation and a globally recognized expert in impact measurement. With a career spanning development finance institutions and advisory work international impact investors, MacGillivray has delivered a highly practical curriculum that blended theory with real-world applications.

“The idea was to move beyond traditional credit models and introduce a more purposeful financing approach, one that drives measurable outcomes alongside financial returns,” said MacGillivray. “With the right institutional momentum and leadership, Pakistan can play a key role in the global impact investing movement.”

The training is covering a comprehensive range of topics, including strategic intent, impact governance, portfolio-level impact design, impact at exit and independent validation. Participants are engaging in interactive case studies, peer learning sessions, and scenario-based exercises aimed at translating concepts into actionable strategies.

The event is being attended by over 40 senior professionals from across Pakistan’s financial ecosystem. Representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), (Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), leading commercial banks, and development finance institutions are actively contributing to discussions on how impact-linked strategies can align with national priorities such as climate resilience, financial inclusion, and private sector socioeconomic growth.

Articulating the sector’s commitment to sustainable finance, Muneer Kamal, CEO & Secretary General PBA, said, “Pakistan’s banking sector must lead from the front as we transition towards a more sustainable and impact-driven financial ecosystem. This partnership with MoF and Karandaaz reflects PBA’s commitment to strengthening sectoral readiness and aligning capital with long-term national priorities.”

This training reinforces the commitment by MoF, Karandaaz and PBA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capabilities in Pakistan’s financial sector and support the country’s transition toward sustainable, impact-oriented finance. As global standards for responsible investing continue to evolve, Karandaaz remains committed to equipping local actors with the tools and knowledge needed to access and manage development capital effectively.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, and CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council, Bilal Bin Saqib, has announced Pakistan’s first government-led Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.

He shared this development after delivering a keynote at Bitcoin Vegas 2025 in Las Vegas. The audience included U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Eric Trump, and Donald Trump Jr.

Saqib, holding the status of a state minister, has been visiting the U.S. to attract investment in Pakistan’s crypto market.

In his speech, he said, Pakistan is not defined by its history. Fueled by its young, sharpened by need, and guided by a new generation of tech statesmen, it is being resurrected as a forward-looking centre of digital innovation.”

He added, “I’m not just here as a minister. I am here as the voice of a generation: one that is digital, on-chain, and relentless.”

He announced the creation of a national bitcoin wallet that will store digital assets already in state custody. These assets will act as a sovereign reserve to reflect the state’s long-term support for decentralised finance. He clarified that the reserve is not for speculation or sale.

Energy Allocation and Global Investment Appeal

Saqib also thanked Donald Trump for promoting crypto adoption and supporting peace efforts between India and Pakistan. He revealed that 2,000 megawatts of surplus electricity have been allocated in the first phase to power AI data centres and bitcoin mining.

This move welcomes sovereign miners, tech companies, and renewable energy partners to collaborate in Pakistan. With over 40 million crypto wallets and a large freelancing workforce, Pakistan is now working to formalise its digital economy.

Saqib is leading the establishment of the Pakistan Digital Assets Authority (PDAA), a regulatory body that will help builders, protect investors, and shape a future-ready finance framework.

He said, Both bitcoin and Pakistan have suffered from poor public relations. However, if you look beyond the news, you will find something else: vision, resilience, and talent.”

Calling on global developers, he urged, “If you are creating something actual—come build it in Pakistan. Come create wallets for the unbanked. take tokenise land. Come match your goal with our youngsters and our relentless enthusiasm.”

He presented a “blueprint for the future of emerging markets in Web3,” highlighting Pakistan’s readiness to lead through its youth and technology.

Regulatory Framework and Future Plans

In May, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed Saqib as his special assistant with ministerial status. Earlier, on February 25, the Finance Ministry had announced plans to form a National Crypto Council.

Later, Saqib was named CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council.

The Finance Division confirmed that Saqib will launch bitcoin mining projects, lead blockchain integration in governance, finance, and land records, and build a FATF-compliant digital assets framework.

He will also oversee the licensing and regulation of virtual asset service providers and support Web3 ecosystem growth.

Through this strategy, the government aims to attract foreign investment, create high-tech employment, and boost revenue by using surplus electricity for bitcoin mining and AI development.

French Military Responds to Reports of Rafale Jets Downed by Pakistan

french-military-responds-to-rafale-jets-loss-in-india-pakistan-war

In the recent escalation between India and Pakistan, reports indicate that the Pakistan Air Force downed Indian Rafale fighter jets.

On May 7, 2025, during escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Pakistan claimed it shot down five Indian aircraft. These included three Rafale fighter jets, a MiG-29 and a Su-30MKI.

This incident marked the first time a Rafale jet suffered a combat loss. A senior French intelligence official told CNN that Pakistan brought down one Indian Rafale. French authorities are now investigating whether more Rafales were lost in the encounter.

During a routine press briefing in Paris, a French military spokesman addressed the incident. He said that the available details remain unclear and that many aspects still require confirmation.

He explained that France is closely monitoring Rafale’s performance in this conflict and remains in direct contact with its partner India to gather accurate information.

Reports indicate that hundreds of aircraft engaged in the battle, and France aims to extract as many lessons as possible from this experience.

He emphasised that if Pakistan did shoot down a Rafale, it would mark the first time this aircraft experienced such a loss in its 20 years of service.

“Losses are Part of Combat”: IAF Air Marshal AK Bharti

On May 9, Air Marshal AK Bharti of the Indian Air Force responded to a question about the Rafale losses during a briefing. He stated, “Losses are part of the fight, and I cannot give more details than that; it benefits the opposing side.”

India purchased 36 Rafale aircraft from France in 2019 after Pakistan destroyed two of India’s aircraft earlier that year. The loss of three more Rafales in the recent conflict has drawn criticism from international media, which called it a major setback for India’s air capabilities.

Military experts believe that Pakistan’s ability to hit modern fighter jets like the Rafale demonstrates its air superiority over India.

What Not to Wear This Eid-ul-Adha: Scorching Summer Edition

what-not-to-wear-this-eid-ul-adha-scorching-summer-edition

We don’t discriminate between Eids in this household. Eid-ul-Adha or Eid-ul-Fitr, both are a vibe on their own, especially for the girlies who wait the whole year just to look like a million bucks — unapologetically.

But the dress-up game gets a little twisted on Eid al-Adha. Between the early morning prayers, the qurbani chaos, non-stop BBQ feasts and trying not to get blood on your brand-new outfit (good luck with that), you need to dress for both style and survival.

Because you can’t chase qurbani goats in stilettos, darling.

And when it lands in the middle of summer? That’s a special kind of challenge. One wrong fabric/makeup choice and all your hard work is down the drain.

Velvet, Brocade & Heat Trapping Outfits for Bakra Eid

Honestly, this one’s self-sabotage.

Yes, luxury fabric screams “rich” but it’s the least practical thing for summer scorching heat. And let’s not forget: Bakra Eid isn’t just posing for pictures, it’s also about running errands and somehow surviving an entire day in the heat.

Velvet, brocade and heavy silks? Best believe you will be drenched before you even greet your guests.

What to Wear Instead:

Go for breathable fabrics like cotton, lawn, chiffon, or light silk. These not only keep you cool but also flow beautifully. Oh, and bonus points if they come in pastel tones that reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it.

Some Pakistani brands are also dropping special Eid-ul-Adha collections. Perhaps that can help you make the right choice.

Sequins, Stones & Heavy Embroidery

Yes, glam is everything, but the outfit must be doable too, right?

Excessive embellishments, sequins, and mirror work might look fancy in AC rooms, but out in the sun? You’ll literally be glowing in the worst way possible.

Wear this Instead:

Outfits with subtle threadwork or delicate embroidery. This will allow you to enjoy the Eid without going overboard.

All Black Outfits

Yes, black is timeless. Yes, it’s elegant. But it’s also scientifically proven to absorb heat like a sponge. When your house is overcrowded and the BBQ smoke is taking over, you will realise that you’ve got yourself in a portable oven.

What to Wear Instead:

Lighter, softer colours are your friends. Think mint green, blush pink, ivory, or sky blue. These shades not only look festive but also help you stay fresh and unbothered.

Sky High Heels

You might want to look tall and complete your outfit with sky-high stilettos, but unless you plan on sitting all day, think again.

You will be walking on gravel, concrete, grass and maybe even a little blood (yep, gross but true). Stilettos are fine for indoor Eid-ul-Fitr but with Eid-ul-adha, everything, frrm your clothes to your shoes, needs to be practical.

Wear this Instead:

Comfortable flats, wedges, or low-block heels. Or better yet: trendy, embellished kolhapuris or khussas. They’re both Eid and qurbani appropriate.

A Full Glam Makeup For Eid-ul-Adha?

That full-coverage foundation you want to wear for Eid pictures? It will be dripping before your guests even arrive. Your cream blush? Will get smudged. Glossy lips? Sticky and will be attracting only the bees.

Don’t put your face through that.

Eid Makeup Mistakes to Avoid:

  • Full coverage foundation cakes: Heavy foundation will melt, crack and clog your pores.
Use Instead: lightweight, breathable foundation or a tinted moisturiser with SPF.
  • Cream-based products in high heat: Cream blush or eyeshadow may look dewy at first…until they slide off your face due to the heat from the BBQ grill.
Use Instead: Powder-based products are more summer-proof.

  • Glossy lips in 40°C: It won’t be long before it turns sticky and will attract everything, from flies to hair (if this isn’t your first Baqra Eid, you probably already know how many flies there are)
Use Instead: Opt for matte lipsticks or stains for a long-lasting, low-maintenance pout.

  • Skipping setting spray or powder: This one will ruin your whole look, as this is the only thing that can truly keep your makeup from melting.
Use Instead: A good setting spray or translucent powder keeps everything locked in. It’s even better if you keep blotting papers with you, too.

So skip the drama (and the heat stroke), and remember: style is about ease, not just extra.

Eid-ul-Adha Mubarak to you, beauty!

Hasan Ali Makes Roaring Return to International Cricket

hasan-ali-makes-roaring-return-to-international-cricket

After spending over a year in the shadows — battling injury, doubts, and the grind of rehab — Hasan Ali has announced his return in the most emphatic way possible: A five-wicket haul in T20Is — his first ever.

It’s not just a stat on a scoreboard. It’s a statement. A redemption arc. And for Hasan, it couldn’t have come at a better time.

A Year of Silence, a Night of Roars

Hasan Ali last featured in a T20I for Pakistan in May 2024, during the tour of Ireland. Just when he looked set to build momentum, fate intervened. An elbow injury during his County Championship stint in July 2024 put the brakes on everything.

What followed was a long, frustrating period away from cricket. He missed months of action — and at one point, his career itself hung in the balance.

“It was boring and demanding,” Hasan admitted about his rehab. “It needed absolute dedication, passion, and hunger.”

Luckily, he had that in spades — along with the support of the PCB’s medical team, whom he credits for keeping his dream alive.

When PSL 10 rolled around, the fire in Hasan’s belly was unmistakable. Playing like a man with a point to prove, he finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker, grabbing 17 wickets.

That performance did more than turn heads — it earned him a spot back in the national squad for the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh.

Five-Star Show of Hasan Ali

Making his international return after more than a year, Hasan wasted no time making an impact. He ripped through Bangladesh’s top order like a man on a mission:

  • Parvez Hossain Emon

  • Tanzid Hasan

  • Jaker Ali

  • Tanzim Hasan Sakib

  • Shoriful Islam

Five wickets. One night. And a clear message: Hasan Ali is back. His brilliant spell helped Pakistan bundle out Bangladesh for 164, clinching a comprehensive 37-run win in the series opener.

Simple Plans, Smart Execution

“The plan was straightforward — I just needed to bowl in the right areas,” Hasan Ali said post-match.

But don’t mistake simplicity for ease. T20 cricket is brutal on bowlers. Every slight miss is punished. That’s where Hasan’s variations and experience shone through.

“T20 cricket heavily favours batsmen. So, developing pace variations becomes crucial. I’m pleased I could execute mine effectively.”

For a bowler who has seen the highs of Champions Trophy glory and the lows of career-threatening injuries, this five-wicket haul wasn’t just about numbers. It was about closure. About proving he still belongs at the highest level.

“What more could I ask for? Making a successful comeback with a five-wicket haul is truly special.”

This wasn’t just about one performance. It was a reminder of what passion, grit, and belief can achieve — even when the world doubts you. Hasan’s comeback story is an inspiration not just for cricketers, but for anyone who’s ever had to start over.
