The religious evening of Shab-e-Baraat is to be observed on 22nd May 2016 in Pakistan. Following the religious evening on Sunday night and Monday morning, the government is likely to announce an optional holiday on May 23rd.
The eight month on the Islamic Calendar, Shabaan will mark its 1436th year on Monday . The eve of Shab-e-Baraat is considered a religious eve that is observed fifteen days prior to the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
On this day, Muslims all over the world welcome the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan with complete spiritual zeal, fervor, and religious harmony. They also offer ‘Nawafils’ and visit graves of their loved ones to offer Fateha on the night of Shab-e-Baraat.
