Chairman Federal Flood Commission (FFC) Ahmad Kamal on Tuesday has issued a warning that monsoon pattern could cause super flood this year during monsoon season.
Extending to other parts of the country, as many as 25 districts have come under influence of monsoon due to shift in rainfall zone from North East to North West, reports Khaleej Times.
14 districts from Punjab and 11 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa could experience a flood.
According to Ahmad Kamal, 2010’s super flood in Pakistan resulted in a $10 billion loss. Moreover, an additional 9$ billion loss resulted due to flash flood from 2011 to 2015.
