Google Introduces ‘Flow,’ an AI-Powered Filmmaker with Veo 3

Google Introduces ‘Flow,’ an AI-Powered Filmmaker with Veo 3
Google Introduces ‘Flow,’ an AI-Powered Filmmaker with Veo 3

Google has just introduced Flow, an AI director that collaborates with its new Veo 3 camera. This game-changing tool enables anyone to make professional-level videos with a few words. No cost equipment, no software skills—just tell Flow what you want, and it makes it happen.

How Flow and Veo 3 Work Together

Flow employs Veo 3, Google‘s latest video creation AI, to convert plain text into beautiful visuals. Whether you want a movie-style trailer, a product demo, or a social media video, you simply write a description, and Flow produces high-definition video. The AI manages lighting, camera shots, and even seamless cuts—spending hours less on editing.

As opposed to older AI video software, Veo 3 generates longer, more continuous scenes that are smoother to look at. It gets sophisticated prompts, so you can ask for certain styles such as “80s neon-lit cyberpunk” or “sunset beach drone shot,” and the AI gets it right.

Why this Matters for Creators

Prior to Flow, producing high-quality videos demanded costly equipment and editing expertise. Today, small businesses, marketers, and hobbyists can all create professional content within minutes. Picture writing a YouTube opening, a TikTok promotion, or a training video without employing a production crew—Flow makes it real.

Google also prevents malicious use by watermarking AI-generated content. It makes it easier for viewers to identify between human-created and AI-enriched videos.

The Future of AI Filmmaking

Flow is only in the initial stages of testing, but initial demos are promising. With Veo 3 getting better, we may witness AI-made films compete with Hollywood blockbusters in the near future. Until then, it’s an effective tool for marketers, educators, and writers who can reduce time and cost constraints.

Google hasn’t revealed pricing, but given the trend for AI tools like Gemini, we can anticipate free and premium options. One thing’s for sure: AI video-making just became a whole lot more accessible, and the creative potential is limitless.

Ready to give it a go? Watch out for Google’s AI Test Kitchen—Flow might arrive sooner rather than later!

Syrian Couple Names Son “Trump Ahmed” to Celebrate Sanctions Relief

Syrian Couple Names Son "Trump Ahmed" to Celebrate Sanctions Relief
Syrian Couple Names Son "Trump Ahmed" to Celebrate Sanctions Relief

In a headline-grabbing gesture, a Syrian couple from the central province of Homs has named their newborn son Trump Ahmed Al Sattouf. The naming honours former U.S. President Donald Trump, following reports that he moved to ease sanctions on Syria.

The decision came after Trump’s high-profile visit to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. During the visit, he reportedly announced the easing of some U.S. sanctions on Damascus.

The couple’s choice has sparked widespread attention in Arab media, generating a mix of admiration, satire and debate. “In many parts of the Arab world, naming a child after a political figure can be a symbol of hope or appreciation,” the report noted.

A Personal Act of Optimism

For the Al Sattouf family, the naming was deeply personal. “We’ve suffered for too long. Maybe this is a sign that things will change,” the baby’s father said in a local interview. Naming his son after Trump, he explained, was a hopeful gesture in the face of years of hardship and uncertainty.

Though symbolic, the act has drawn attention to the long-standing plight of Syrians living under U.S. sanctions. These sanctions began in 1979 and escalated after Syria’s civil war broke out in 2011.

The restrictions reached a peak with the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act in 2019, which led to sweeping measures that crippled the country’s economy.

Syria now suffers from hyperinflation, poverty and shortages of basic necessities like food, fuel and medicine. Whether Trump, Ahmed Al Sattouf will one day understand the global politics behind his name remains uncertain. But for now, he stands as a symbol of one family’s hope and the struggles of a nation seeking relief.

We’re Doing a Big Deal With Pakistan: Trump

We’re Doing a Big Deal With Pakistan Trump

President Donald Trump claimed credit once again for mediating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He said his government helped reduce tensions through trade talks with both nuclear-armed nations.

During a White House meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Trump stated, “If you look at what we only accomplished with Pakistan and India, we resolved that whole thing and I think I settled it via trade.”

He added, “We’re doing a big deal with India. We’re doing a big deal with Pakistan.”

Commenting on the India-Pakistan tensions, Trump said, “You know, someone had to be the last one to shoot. But the shooting was getting worse and worse, bigger and bigger, deeper and deeper into the country. We contacted them and… we arrived at it. Two days later something else occurred and they claimed it was Trump’s fault.”

Trump also praised Pakistan’s leadership. He said the country has “some really good leaders and some really nice people.”

Meanwhile, the meeting with Ramaphosa took a tense turn. Trump repeated false claims about white genocide and land seizures in South Africa. The meeting echoed his controversial session with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in February.

Despite most violent crime victims in South Africa being Black, the country has one of the highest murder rates globally.

Ramaphosa aimed to rebuild relations with the U.S. after Trump had cut aid to South Africa. Trump had also welcomed white Afrikaner refugees, expelled South Africa’s ambassador, and criticized its genocide case against Israel.

To manage trade discussions, Ramaphosa came prepared for a tough meeting. He even brought along famous white South African golfers. South Africa is the U.S.’s second-largest trading partner. Under Trump’s suspended tariffs, the country faces a 30% import tax.

Pakistan Will Not get Water Over Which India has Rights: Narendra Modi

Pakistan will not get Water over Which India has Rights: Narendra Modi
Pakistan will not get Water over Which India has Rights: Narendra Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that Pakistan will not get water from rivers over which India has rights. His statement came a month after an attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir led India to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty. This treaty, signed in 1960 with help from the World Bank, manages water sharing between the two countries.

On April 22, an attack killed 26 people, mostly Hindu tourists. India blamed Pakistan for supporting the attackers, though Pakistan denied it. In response, India took several steps, including suspending the water treaty. This led to the worst military tension between the two countries in almost 30 years. A ceasefire was agreed on May 10.

At a public event in Rajasthan, Modi warned: “Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price for every terrorist attack … Pakistan’s army will pay it, Pakistan’s economy will pay it.”

Water Treaty’s Importance to Pakistan

The Indus Waters Treaty gives Pakistan access to water from three rivers that flow from India. These rivers support 80% of Pakistan’s farmland. Despite the suspension, Pakistan’s finance minister said earlier this month that the move would not have “any immediate impact.”

The ceasefire is mostly holding. Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar told Dutch outlet NOS, “There is no exchange of fire currently and there has been some repositioning of forces accordingly.”

He added, “The (military) operation continues because there is a clear message…that if there are acts of the kind we saw on April 22, there will be a response, we will hit the terrorists. If the terrorists are in Pakistan, we will hit them where they are.”

Pakistan has not yet responded to the latest comments by Modi and Jaishankar.

Long History of Tension

India and Pakistan have had a troubled relationship since their separation in 1947. They have fought three wars—two of them over Kashmir. Both countries claim the region fully, but control only parts of it.

India also accuses Pakistan of backing Islamist separatists in its part of Kashmir. Pakistan denies this. Since April, both countries have taken strict steps. These include halting trade, closing land borders, and stopping most visa services.

Israel Fires Warning Shots at Diplomats from Italy, Canada, Egypt, UK, in the Occupied West Bank

Israel Fires Warning Shots at Delegates from Italy, Canada, Egypt, UK, in the Occupied West Bank
Israel Fires Warning Shots at Delegates from Italy, Canada, Egypt, UK, in the Occupied West BankIsrael Fires Warning Shots at Delegates from Italy, Canada, Egypt, UK, in the Occupied West Bank

On Wednesday, footage showed Israeli troops firing shots at a group of 25 foreign diplomats visiting Jenin in the Israel-occupied West Bank, causing a wave of outrage and calls from leaders around the world. The delegation consisted of diplomats and ambassadors from 31 countries, including Italy, Canada, Egypt, Jordan, China, Russia and the UK. The group was on an official mission organised by the Palestinian Authority to witness the humanitarian situation in the region. The delegation had approved the visit and had come from an approved route, yet Israeli soldiers fired shots to distance them from the area.

The firing was seen as unprovoked, and the delegation members thought that it was uncalled for. The Canadian, French, British and other European ministers summoned the Israeli ministers to explain the “unacceptable” incident, which will fuel already growing international anger and concern as Israel continues its offensive in Gaza. Canada and Turkey demanded an investigation into what happened. “We expect an immediate explanation of what happened. It’s totally unacceptable,” Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney told a press conference. Meanwhile, a UN Spokesperson said that it is clear that diplomats should never have been shot at or attacked in any shape or form, and that their safety must be respected at all times.

A New Wave of Violations

Post the ceasefire on January 19, Israel has assaulted tens of thousands of Palestinians from their homes in the West Bank, resulting in the biggest displacement in years.

Israel has also increased its attacks in the Gaza Strip over the past months. In a recent conference, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that it will control “all of Gaza” after the latest offensive. Hundreds of innocent Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed in relentless Israeli bombardments across Gaza in recent days. On top of that, starvation takes hold as only a small number of aid trucks are allowed in with the current blockade in place.

Is there a Possibility for a Ceasefire?

Netanyahu also laid out a few conditions for ending the genocide in Gaza. These include:

  • Release of all captives
  • Disarmament of Hamas
  • Exile of its leadership
  • Possibility of carrying out Donald Trump’s Plan

What is Donald Trump’s Plan?

In February, United States President Donald Trump proposed a plan that would expel the Palestinians from Gaza. He said that the US should run Gaza and transform the territory into the “Riviera of the Middle East.” After Netanyahu mentioned Trump’s plan as one of his conditions to stop the genocide, many nations called it ethnic cleansing.

The shots on the foreign delegations have highlighted just how worse things are in Palestine and the West Bank. It has forced nations throughout the world to ponder that if this can happen to diplomats, and what the Israeli troops are doing to the Palestinians.

Weather Alert: System Over Arabian Sea May Develop Into a Cyclone

Weather Alert System Over Arabian Sea May Develop Into a Cyclone
Weather Alert System Over Arabian Sea May Develop Into a Cyclone

A cyclone may develop approximately 1075 km southeast of Karachi, where a low-pressure area (LPA) has formed over the East-Central Arabian Sea. Through an advisory published on Thursday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) disseminated this revision. The system has been seen at longitude 71.9 E and latitude 16.4 N.

The PMD advisory noted that this low-pressure system could become a depression within the next 36 hours thanks to favourable environmental conditions. The system presents no hazard now for any coastal part of the country. Karachi’s PMD’s cyclone warning centre is keeping a close eye on developments.

Driven by the heated sea surface temperatures, the LPA developed in the Arabian Sea. Since the sea breeze is likely to stop momentarily, weather forecasters think this system could cause exceedingly hot temperatures in Karachi. Coastal regions like Karachi can experience a dramatic temperature rise when sea breezes slow down or stop.

Right now, the weather system is hovering close to India’s western coast. Should current conditions persist, it could develop further into a severe depression or maybe a cyclone around May 24 or 25. Should the system develop into a cyclone, it will be called Shakti, meaning “power.”

Meteorological specialists are closely monitoring the system’s progress over the next few days. Although there is no present threat to Pakistan’s coastal areas, the PMD will keep releasing updates depending on its observations.

Hyderabad’s Aleem Bukhari’s ‘Karmash’ Premieres Today at Cannes Film Festival

Hyderabad’s Aleem Bukhari’s ‘Karmash’ Premieres Today at Cannes Film Festival
Hyderabad’s Aleem Bukhari’s ‘Karmash’ Premieres Today at Cannes Film Festival

Pakistani director Aleem Bukhari’s short film Karmash made history on May 22, 2025, as it opened the Directors’ Fortnight (Quinzaine des Cinéastes) section of the Cannes Film Festival. It is a historical achievement since Karmash is the first-ever Pakistani short film to be included in this prestigious segment of the festival.

Karmash is a 15-minute black-and-white short film that moves away from traditional narrative. The film documents the sole survivor of the fictional Karmash tribe as he traverses disjointed recollections of his forefathers’ customs. Instead of following a linear narrative, the film reads like an essay, accepting uncertainties and contemplations. Its unconventional form and haunting imagery make it all the more engaging.

Guerrilla Filmmaking at Its Best

The production of Karmash is a reflection of creativity and dedication. Aleem Bukhari, an amateur director from Hyderabad, worked with five friends to make the film happen. With a shoestring budget, the crew used borrowed equipment and few resources. It was photographed on a Sony A6400 camera fitted with a 35mm lens, using mostly natural light. The crew used motorcycles to get around, with most of the budget spent on petrol and food.

Themes of Legacy and Identity

The word “Karmash” means “one who keeps to his duty and legacy,” summarising the core themes of the film. Bukhari set out to create an experimental film that serves as a diary or memoir, tracing the protagonist’s attempt to reconnect to his cultural heritage. The film veers into horror and the supernatural, deepening its investigation of memory and identity.

A Vision Realised

Looking back, Bukhari was amazed that the film was chosen: “It was surreal. Very overwhelming.” The success of Karmash highlights the prospects of independent filmmaking in Pakistan and is an inspiration for would-be artists. Bukhari’s commitment to making auteur-led, unconventional films has resulted in one that resonates on a global platform.

Rishad Hossain Rejoins Lahore Qalandars Ahead Of PSL 10 Playoffs

rishad-hossain-rejoins-lahore-qalandars

Just when Lahore Qalandars needed some spark, Rishad Hossain walks back into the squad — and he couldn’t have picked a better time.

With the high-pressure Eliminator showdown against Karachi Kings looming large on May 22, Lahore have received a timely boost. The young Bangladeshi leg-spinner, fresh from national duty, is back in the camp — and fans are buzzing already.

Middle-Overs Maestro

The franchise broke the news in style on social media with a picture and the caption:

“LOOK WHO’S BACK!! It’s Rishad Hossain — back in the squad ahead of the all-important Eliminator against Karachi Kings.”

If you’ve been following the Qalandars’ PSL 10 campaign, you’d know Rishad has quietly become one of their go-to weapons in the middle overs.

In just five matches, he’s taken nine wickets at an average of 16.44. But stats aside, it’s his temperament that stands out — calm under pressure, crafty with the ball, and confident on the big stage.

Bangladeshi Trio in Qalandars’ Corner

With Rishad’s return, Lahore now boast a trio of Bangladeshi stars heading into the playoffs. They’ve recently signed Mehidy Hasan Miraz as a replacement for Sikandar Raza, who’s unavailable for the playoffs.

Mehidy, known for his all-round brilliance, and Rishad’s leg-spin promise a dynamic combination — especially in a knockout clash where every over matters.

And let’s not sugarcoat it — this isn’t just any Eliminator. It’s Lahore vs. Karachi. It’s two of Pakistan’s biggest cricketing cities locking horns at the Gaddafi Stadium — under lights, with playoff pressure, and pride on the line.

In T20 cricket, momentum is everything. And with Rishad Hossain’s return, Lahore Qalandars look a little sharper, a little more confident, and definitely more dangerous.

If he brings the same energy and execution we saw earlier in the season, Karachi Kings might have their hands full. It’s game on at Gaddafi. And with one of the most exciting young spinners back in the squad, don’t count Lahore out just yet.

Hansi Flick Extends Barcelona Deal To 2027

hansi-flick-extends-barcelona-deal-to-2027

When Hansi Flick arrived at Barcelona, let’s be honest — expectations were cautious at best. After all, the club was coming off a trophyless season under Xavi.

Fast forward 12 months, and here we are: Barcelona are champions, trophy treble winners, and Flick has just extended his stay until 2027.

Flick’s First Season? A Dream Debut

When the German tactician was handed the reins, many wondered whether he could handle the chaos and expectations of Camp Nou. But Flick brought more than just tactical acumen — he brought belief. And results.

In just one season, he guided Barcelona to:

  • 🏆 La Liga title
  • 🏆 Copa del Rey
  • 🏆 Spanish Super Cup

Oh, and he did it in style. His team has scored 99 goals in just 37 league matches, with one more still to come. That’s not just winning — that’s winning with flair.

A Fearless New Era

One of Flick’s biggest achievements? Unleashing a fearless front line. The teenage wizard Lamine Yamal, the electric Raphinha, and the evergreen Robert Lewandowski formed a deadly trio that tore defences apart, in Spain and across Europe.

Barcelona didn’t just return to winning ways. They became feared again. Their run to the Champions League semi-finals — before being narrowly edged out by Inter Milan — proved they’re no longer passengers on the European stage.

Flick’s Finals Record: 7 Played, 7 Won

Here’s a stat to bookmark: Flick has now won all 7 finals he’s coached in — five with Bayern, two with Barça. That includes victories over Real Madrid in both the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup finals this season.

And if you’re into numbers: Flick boasts a 73% win rate across 54 matches with Barcelona — the best debut season since Luis Enrique hit 83%.

Let’s not forget — Barça were not favourites this season. Real Madrid had just signed Kylian Mbappé, who responded with a ridiculous 41 goals in all competitions. But while he was scoring, Barcelona were winning. Real Madrid? Shockingly, they end the season without a major trophy.

In many ways, the contract extension until 2027 feels inevitable. Flick has restored identity, purpose, and fearlessness to a club that desperately needed all three.

Barcelona’s statement said it best:

“The excitement that the German has brought to the club in his first year in charge has made Barcelona a feared opponent once again in Europe.”

It’s not just about what Hansi Flick has done — it’s about what he can still build. With a young core, a renewed tactical edge, and a coach who understands what it takes to win at the highest level, Barcelona fans finally have a reason to believe again.

Why the 2025 Champions Trophy Was a Game-Changer for Global Cricket?

PCB Slams ''Propaganda'' on Champions Trophy 2025 Financial Loss
PCB Slams "Propaganda" on Champions Trophy Financial Loss

When Pakistan and the UAE were announced as joint hosts for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, many questioned the logistics, the timing, even the impact. But the tournament proved to be a success, clearing one thing that this wasn’t just another ICC event, it was a global cricketing phenomenon.

A Broadcast Boom Like Never Before

The 2025 edition racked up an eye-popping 368 billion global viewing minutes, smashing the previous record set in 2017. That’s a 19% jump from the last edition held in England and Wales, and the highest ever for a Champions Trophy.

Want more context? Every single over during the tournament averaged 308 million global viewing minutes — the highest ever seen in any ICC event.

India’s Perfect Run Fuels Viewership Frenzy

It certainly helped that Team India, led by the ever-composed Rohit Sharma, delivered an unbeaten campaign. They knocked out defending World Cup champions Australia in a thrilling semi-final before sealing the deal against New Zealand in a high-voltage final.

That final? A viewership behemoth. 65.3 billion live viewing minutes. A whopping 52.1% increase compared to the 2017 final.

It even became the third-most watched ICC match ever globally, behind only India’s semi-final and final in the 2023 World Cup.

Accessibility + Innovation = Broader Reach

This wasn’t just about who watched — it was about how they watched. India reintroduced its award-winning Indian Sign Language feed and Audio Descriptive Commentary, opening the game up to a broader audience.

These inclusive efforts weren’t just feel-good gestures; they drove real engagement, helping the event become the most-watched Champions Trophy ever in India.

In Australia, the results were equally promising. A 65% spike in viewing hours made 2025 the most viewed edition for Aussie fans — a clear sign that cricket’s pull Down Under remains strong.

Oh, and Amazon Prime Video? Their gamble paid off. With the introduction of a Hindi language feed, they clocked their highest-ever ICC viewership numbers.

Pakistan Didn’t Win, But It Still Won

Sure, Pakistan didn’t recreate their fairy-tale 2017 title run — but don’t let that distract you. As a co-host, they delivered where it counted: audience engagement.

Viewership in the country rose 24% compared to the last edition, proving that passion for cricket runs deeper than just match outcomes.

And in markets like the United States, fans defied unfavorable time zones to deliver a noticeable increase in live viewership. That’s no small feat and speaks volumes about cricket’s growing traction in non-traditional regions.

A Word From the Top

ICC Chairman Jay Shah couldn’t have summed it up better:

“We are delighted to share that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has achieved record-breaking global viewership… These remarkable numbers reflect the growing global appeal of the game and the strength of our partnerships.”

Hard to argue with that. The 2025 Champions Trophy wasn’t just a cricket tournament — it was a broadcast revolution. It proved that location doesn’t limit impact, that accessibility matters, and that cricket’s global heartbeat is stronger than ever.

So while the trophy now rests in Indian hands, the real win is for the game of cricket itself — more eyes, more fans, and a future that looks brighter than ever.

Tottenham Hotspur Wins Europa League Final Against Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur Win Europa League Final Against Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur Win Europa League Final Against Manchester United

On Wednesday in Bilbao, Spain, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester United 1-0 to win the Europa League final. This victory marks the Spurs’ first cup championship in 17 years.

Athletic Bilbao’s Estadio de San Mamés hosted the championship match. Following the full-time whistle, Tottenham fans and players were tearful as they celebrated what appeared to be the end of their protracted wait to win a major game. It was the first trophy for the club since 2008 and their first European championship since the 1983-84 season. Spurs had developed a reputation over the last ten years of approaching but not quite finishing the work. For the north London club and their supporters, this triumph seemed monumental.

The game began lethargically. In the first half, both sides battled to assert control or generate obvious opportunities. Tottenham’s midfielder Pape Sarr delivered a right-footed cross in the 42nd minute. The ball struck Luke Shaw of Manchester United before passing Spurs’ leading scorer before Brennan Johnson completed the action. Though it was a sloppy goal, it was sufficient to give Spurs the lead. Johnson’s goal had Tottenham supporters celebrating, but those from United remained muted.

Micky van de Ven was one of the pivotal figures in the second half. United’s Rasmus Højlund had a free header toward an open goal after Spurs goalie Guglielmo Vicario made a free-kick error. Van de Ven, however, did an aerial scissor-kick clearance to stop the ball in the 62nd minute. Vicario later made crucial saves against Luke Shaw and Alejandro Garnacho to guarantee the scoreless sheet.

Winning the Europa League guarantees Spurs entry to the Champions League next season. The victory qualifies them for Europe’s premier club tournament despite their dismal domestic record. At present, Tottenham are 17th in the Premier League rankings; United sit one place lower at 16th. Both teams have been league quite underperforming.

Brennan Johnson told TNT Sports 1 after the game, I’m so happy right now. Honestly, this season has not been at all good; however, I swear that none of us players right now care about it… I am so happy.”

Ange Postecoglou, the Spurs’ head coach, had also forecast great outcome. He remarked in September, “I don’t often win anything… I always win something in my second year. Nothing has changed. He said following the victory, “I believe people misunderstood it. It was me making a statement, not really bragging.” He continued, I know our league form has been awful—nowhere near acceptable and unacceptable—but us finishing third wasn’t going to alter this football club. Winning something would be the only thing that would alter this football club; when I said that, I meant it.”

Ange Postecoglou always wins a trophy in his second season

For Spurs captain Son Heung-min, this title also celebrated a unique milestone. Tottenham highlighted that he was the first club captain from South Korea to guide a team to a significant European trophy.

Karachi Elephants Get TB Treatment with 400 Pills a Day

Karachi Elephants Get TB Treatment with 400 Pills a Day
Karachi Elephants Get TB Treatment with 400 Pills a Day

A group of doctors and vets has come up with a new way to treat two Karachi elephants at the Safari Park who are suffering from tuberculosis (TB). The treatment involves giving them at least 400 pills every day. The pills used are the same as those given to humans for TB.

To make it easier for the elephants to take their medicine, the pills are concealed within foods such as apples, bananas, and sweets. The dosage is adjusted based on the weight of the elephants, who each weigh around 4,000 kilograms (8,800 pounds).

The elephants, named Madhubala and Malika, took several weeks to get used to the medicine. At first, they would spit out the bitter pills and even charge at their keepers.

“Giving treatment for TB to elephants is always challenging. Each day we use different methods,” said Buddhika Bandara, a vet from Sri Lanka, leading the treatment. “The animals showed some stress in the beginning, but gradually they adapted to the procedure,” Bandara added.

Mahout Ali Baloch wakes up early every day to cook rice and lentils mixed with sugar cane molasses. He rolls the mix into dozens of balls and places the pills inside them.

The Common Occurrence of Tuberculosis

Four African elephants were brought to Karachi from Tanzania in 2009 after being taken from the wild at a young age. Two of them, Noor Jehan and Sonia, died. Noor Jehan died in 2023 at the age of 17, and Sonia died in 2024. An autopsy revealed that Sonia had TB, which is common in Pakistan.

Madhubala and Malika also tested positive for TB. The city council, which runs the Safari Park, formed a special team to care for them. According to Bandara, elephants can get TB from humans, and it was surprising that Sonia and now Madhubala and Malika had no symptoms even after testing positive.

“It was surprising for me that elephants have TB,” said Dr. Naseem Salahuddin, head of the Infectious Disease Department at Indus Hospital and Health Network. She is monitoring the safety of the staff.

“This is an interesting case for me and my students — everyone wants to know about the procedure and its progress,” she told AFP.

To stay safe, the four mahouts feeding the elephants wear masks and scrubs to avoid catching the disease, which affects over 500,000 people each year in Pakistan.

The Karachi Safari Park has faced criticism in the past for how it treated its animals. Authorities even rescued one elephant after a campaign led by American singer Cher. The park is now hoping that with the help of this year-long treatment plan, its last two elephants will fully recover.

Congress in Turkey? Only in Malviya & Arnab’s Headlines — Now They’ve Got a Complaint to Answer

Congress Files FIR Against Amit Malviya And Arnab Goswami
Congress Files FIR Against Amit Malviya And Arnab Goswami

The Indian Youth Congress has filed a police complaint against BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya and Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. The complaint accuses them of spreading false claims that the Indian National Congress operates an office in Turkey.

Police at the High Grounds station in Bengaluru registered the FIR on Monday. The complaint was filed by Shrikant Swaroop B N, head of the Indian Youth Congress’s legal cell. Authorities have booked Malviya and Goswami under sections 192 and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. These sections relate to provoking riots and intentional insults aimed at disturbing peace.

The complaint surfaced during rising tensions between India and Turkey. Turkey had recently supported Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. In response, India launched a military operation called Operation Sindoor.

According to the FIR, Malviya and Goswami falsely claimed that the Istanbul Congress Centre is an official INC office. The Congress called this a “heinous and criminally motivated campaign.”

Swaroop said, “This act was executed with clear and undeniable criminal intent to deceive the Indian public, defame a major political party, stir nationalist emotions, incite unrest and compromise national security.”

Youth Congress Demands Urgent Action

In addition, the Youth Congress has called for urgent institutional action. Swaroop described the campaign as a calculated move to harm the party’s image and manipulate public opinion. He urged several regulatory bodies to treat the matter seriously. These include the Press Council of India, News Broadcasters and Digital Association, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Central Bureau of Investigation.

He urged them to “dismantle the disinformation network, prosecute the accused and reinforce public trust in democratic institutions and the rule of law.”

It is worth recalling that during the Pakistan-India standoff, Arnab Goswami actively pushed pro-government narratives that were later widely criticised as baseless propaganda.

Arnab Goswami’s broadcasts not only misled the Indian population but also attracted international mockery.

Train Derails Near Faisalabad, Injuring at Least 25

Around 4 a.m., the Shalimar Express train, travelling from Faisalabad to Lahore, crashed into a tractor-trolley near Chak No.142-RB Chuti Ghartal. The trolley, loaded with bricks, had run out of fuel and got stuck on the tracks at an unmanned railway crossing. The crash caused two coaches to derail and slide nearly one kilometre from the collision point. The accident injured 25 people, including the train driver and his assistant. A police spokesman gave these details on Wednesday.

As soon as they received the alert, local police and rescue teams rushed to the spot. Rescue 1122 provided first aid to many passengers on-site and shifted the seriously injured to THQ Hospital Chak Jhumra for treatment.

The accident halted all train services between Sahianwala and Salarwala. Trains going from Faisalabad to Lahore and Wazirabad also stopped running because of the damaged railway track. Meanwhile, the tractor-trolley driver fled after the crash. However, police reached the location and seized both the tractor and the trolley.

CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar took notice of the incident after receiving the report. He ordered senior police officers to go to the site and work closely with Pakistan Railways. Police and railway authorities launched a joint investigation into the matter.

This Summer, It’s All About the Belle Flats!

This Summer, It’s All About the Belle Flats!
This Summer, It’s All About the Belle Flats!

If you haven’t noticed, the quiet comeback of the classic ballet flat has reached a crescendo, but this time, she’s had a glow-up. Yes, these are still the same silhouettes you once wore during your “Gossip Girl” phase, but they’ve grown up with you and are now more fabulous than ever. The new wave of Belle flats is anything but basic. In fact, they are every IT girl’s choice these days.

It’s a versatile wardrobe addition and there are stylish options in all shapes and sizes, spanning all budgets.

From Balletcore to Runway Star

Fashion is cyclical. The resurgence of the Belle flat is part of a broader cultural wave — the return of femininity and softness. With their minimal profile and graceful curves, they are taking the world by storm.

Think sheer fabrics, coquette bows and the kind of delicate accessories that once seemed too precious for everyday life.

On the runway, The Row introduced leather flats while Simone Rocha adorned hers with oversized pearls, translucent mesh and shimmer. Even Miu Miu embraced the look with intentionally worn-in ballet slippers that blurred the line between costume and couture.

Fashion’s Soft Power Move

At their core, Belle flats represent something deeper than just style. They embody ease (a radical concept in an industry often driven by discomfort and extremes), which is quite a change for the fashion industry. Now, people want to walk comfortably and look chic while doing it.

We’ve spent years trying to balance on sky-high heels or lean into the utilitarian aesthetic of sneakers and combat boots. Belle flats are the antithesis of both; soft, poised and delightfully unfussy.

And the best part? Versatility. Pair them with tailored shorts and a breezy blouse for lunch with friends, or slip into a silk slip dress and your most worn-in pair for an effortless evening vibe. They travel well, they don’t murder your feet, and they also give the perfect impression of luxury and “old money.”

Walking into a Softer Summer

In a world that’s constantly teetering between extremes — between fast and slow, loud and quiet, hard and soft — the Belle flat is a welcome middle ground. It’s fashion’s version of a deep breath. A reminder that style doesn’t have to shout to make an impression.

There’s something refreshing about choosing simplicity in a fashion era that often leans toward the extreme. The Belle flat is more than just a cute shoe; it’s a statement of ease, elegance, and intention.

So this summer, let’s skip the blisters and the balancing acts. Let’s walk through sun-drenched afternoons and candlelit evenings with grace. Let’s embrace beauty that doesn’t try too hard.

The Belle flat is back, and she’s never looked better.

Season 5 of 'The Boys' Promises Shocking Twists, Major Deaths, and an Emotional Send-Off

The countdown has begun for The Boys season 5, the fifth and final season of Amazon Prime Video’s dark and satirical superhero series. Production is underway, and the release is scheduled for 2026. Given the history of the show’s earlier seasons, fans are preparing for a finale that promises to be as shocking and intense as it can be.

The Rise of Homelander’s Regime

Season 4 ended with a major twist. Homelander (Antony Starr) became president, turning the United States into his personal “kingdom.” This marks a first in the show’s history. Season 5 will focus on Homelander’s unchecked power as the main conflict. Showrunner Eric Kripke calls this twist a “gift” for storytelling. It allows the series to explore the dangers of absolute power.

From the beginning, Eric Kripke designed The Boys as a five-season story from the start. He believes five seasons create a complete and satisfying story arc. This plan prevents the show from overstaying its welcome. Each season builds on the last, leading to a climactic and cohesive conclusion.

Big Character Arcs and Possible Deaths

No character will be safe in the final season as Kripke promises a bloodbath with major deaths ahead. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) struggles against the deadly effects of V24 and faces a grim future. Hughie (Jack Quaid) is set to rise as a leader. This could put him on a collision course with Butcher. Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), Homelander’s son, remains in limbo. Fans speculate about his survival, adding tension to the story.

New Faces and Returning Favourites

Fans should also be on the lookout for new faces as Season 5 will introduce new characters to deepen the plot. Daveed Diggs joins in a mysterious role, with little known about his character. The season will also reunite Supernatural alumni Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins with Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy). This crossover excites fans of both shows.

Most importantly, fans can expect intense showdowns, surprising alliances, and emotional goodbyes. While the show will keep its signature mix of dark humour and explosive action. The finale is bound to leave a lasting impression.

As production continues, more details will emerge.
