After Ali Zafar, his brother Danyal Zafar was all set to took Bollywood by storm. But it seems that his big debut in tinsel town is now in jeopardy. The emerging star was about to work his magic in a Yash Raj Film production but the movie has now been put on hold!

According to Indian website Bollywood Hungama, the director Aditya Chopra was eager to cast Danyal Zafar in a potential project. But the rising tensions between India and Pakistan have made him think otherwise.

“No concrete project had been decided yet. But Adi had expressed an interest in launching Danyal, who is as talented as his elder brother. However now, with relations between the two countries hitting the lowest ebb, Danyal’s launch has been put off.”

Early in the 20^th century, the Surrealism movement flourished, aimed at changing perceptions of a bleak world. Surrealist artists tried to explore the unconscious to explore the depths of human imagination. Surrealism challenges all boundaries set by reality, promising a world full of beauty where nothing is impossible.

The same concept was adopted by the luxury brand Magnum for their annual gala this year. The Magnum Party 2016 was all about Surrealism, relying heavily on the works of artist Salvador Dali to create grand masterpieces, using fashion, creative installations and performances.

Magnum Party 2016 was held on September 21^st in Karachi and was attended by celebrities from both the fashion, entertainment and artistic world. While the entire event was as glamorous as it gets, we have shortlisted six highlights of the night that will keep people talking for a long time.

The Chocolate Table

Imagine dying and going to chocolate heaven. The desserts and sweet treats available at Magnum Party were nothing short of divine. The Chocolate Table was the creation of the well-known chocolatier Amna Tauqeer. Apart from the velvety chocolate fountain, cupcakes and magnum ice-cream, the table also featured creative artsy installations all made from chocolate. Guest could go indulge any time they wanted.

Ali Zafar Charms the Audience at the Magnum Party 2016

Fashion Presentation

Since the theme of this year’s party was so extraordinary, the choice of designers for fashion presentation was crucial. The list was finalised with designers who had a flair for theatre and extravagance and could do justice to the theme. Chosen for the event were Ali Xeeshan, Faraz Manan, Shamaeel Ansari and Nilofer Shahid. Each showcased their own interpretation of surrealism in various different ways and left the audience in awe with their larger than life collections.

Shamaeel Ansari

The opening collection of the night was Shamaeel Ansari. Her collection was a bridge connecting dreams with reality. Her interpretation of the theme was featured through the depiction of a woman in love. Since the emotion of love blurs the line between dreams and reality. Let’s have a close look at these most popular devices to know what’s new is in the offering for their customers.

Design

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Samsung has played its cards smartly by giving Galaxy Note 7 dual-edged design like that of Galaxy S7 Edge. This design has a huge attraction among users for having a dual curve from front and all-glass curved back. From the top, it has a new front-facing flash and a sensor while no other changes come to the bottom or sides of the phone.

iPhone 7

Contrary to Samsung Galaxy Note 7, minor changes have been made to iPhone 7’s design. The antenna lines have been placed on the side and stereo speaker pushed to the bottom. No other significant alteration in design is visible for the look and feel in iPhone 7 apart from the removal of 3.5mm headphones jack (wireless earphones-AirPods now).

iPhone 7 Plus

iPhone 7 Plus, comes with dual rear cameras and it is the only variation it got in design panel from iPhone 7. Otherwise, both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus bear the same design as their predecessors.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 phablet comes up with 5.7 inch Super AMOLED, QHD Display that is stunning indeed. The inclusion of Mobile HDR technology captures even more vivid, high-contrast pictures and videos. The Quad HD resolution remains same 2560 X 1440 pixels with 518ppi pixel density.

iPhone 7

iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch display and not has been upgraded to the latest, cutting-edge technology in display. This 4.7inches IPS LCD display has a resolution of 1,334 x 750 pixels with 326ppi pixel density.

iPhone 7 Plus

The larger variant iPhone 7 Plus comes up with a 5.5-inch display having a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (401 ppi density). For years, Apple has been using the IPS LCD technology and lagging behind Samsung in this case.

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge conquered the Android market for the company since its release in March 2016. Since then, the set has been selling like hotcakes. However, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is not too far behind with fans desperately awaiting its arrival.

*Samsung has skipped the ‘Galaxy Note 6’ to unite the numbering across the Galaxy S and Note ranges.

Here are the major differences between Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 7:

Specifications

Display

Users and fans will note that there is a very familiar look to the displays of both the sets. Keeping in mind that both have curved edges, there are still many differences in the two.

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-in flat panel with AMOLED display along with Gorilla Glass 4, 2560×1440 pixels (534ppi).

Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Expected to Break Predecessor Sales Says Samsung

On the other hand, The Samsung’s Note 7 has a 5.7-in curved panel boasting a Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5, 2560×1440 pixels (518ppi).

Galaxy Note 7 has a larger screen boasting Gorilla Glass 5, which gives a better resistance comparatively when the set experiences a fall from heights.

Yet, the S7 Edge has more pixel counts per inch. None the less, both sets have displays that will attract users instantly.

Galaxy S7 Edge has a bit more of an advantage in terms of profitability, due to the size of its slightly smaller display.

S7 Edge is 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7 mm (5.94 x 2.86 x 0.30 in) and 157 g (5.54 oz) in dimensions and size, while Note 7 is 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm (6.04 x 2.91 x 0.31 in) and 169g (5.96 oz).

Even though both of the sets are somewhat different in size, they have similarities in their design. Both are equipped with IP68 for water resistance and have the option for expandable storage options. Users can use S Pen support if they wish.

Both phones also boast glass backs for wireless charging along with a core aluminum chassis for high-quality appeal.

Performance

Both handsets are quite identical in their performance. Both S7 Edge and Note 7 (International Version) contain an Exynos 8890 (quad-core 2.3 GHz + quad-core 1.6 GHz CPUs, Mali-T880 MP12 GPU), 4GB RAM.

While the US version of both the sets is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo CPUs, Adreno 530 GPU), 4GB RAM.

Comparing the specifications of other phones currently available in the Android market, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that both the sets are dominating the market in terms of being able to perform faster, and better. This is because Exynos gives a slightly better overall performance compared to Snapdragon.

Software

Galaxy Note 7 now has the functionalities of an Edge, because of the new inclusion of an edge display. This was only included in the previous Galaxy Note Edge set but was not added to the Note series. The new function allows Note users to swipe on the screen to bring up widgets and shortcuts.

It even has an S Pen support program to support handwritten notes and for a quick translation, including creating GIFs, making memos, using 4,096 pressure sensitivity, making it accurate like never before.

Features

Iris Scanner

Note 7 took everyone by surprise when it was rumored that the set is said to be equipped with an Iris Scanner. This news was unusual for everyone as there is no other set that has the same feature, as of yet.

The scanner is activated when the set is slightly tilted, at eye-level. It is a faster and more accurate biometric approach to un-lock the set, and according to Samsung itself, it’s 100 times safer and more secure. However, not being used to this new feature is a risk the company is willing to take.

On Screen Notes

Samsung played it very smart with this feature. Note 7 lets users scribble important notes on the display using the S-Pen even when the set is locked. This is a very handy feature for those who cannot wait to jot down important information.

Toyota Fortuner 2016 vs.Toyota Prado 2016: Specs, Features, Price & More

The 2^nd generation Toyota Fortuner was revealed in Pakistan in September 2016 and it was revealed in Thailand and Australia in July of 2015. The 2^nd generation Fortuner has gone through massive improvements in both looks and performance.

The New Fortuner’s design is based on the “Keen look” design language which is being used by Toyota Corolla and the new Toyota Hilux Revo. The car comes with slim projector headlights and daytime running LEDs.

The new 4^th generation Prado was released in 2009 and it has seen recent improvements. The 2016 Prado has a facelift and more features like LED headlights, new front panels, and suspension improvements.

Exterior:

The exterior of both cars looks impressive. The Prado though looks more muscular and tough compared to the Fortuner. The Fortuner comes with a modern design with side steps, roof rails, rear spoiler and stylish 18 inches allow rims. The new Toyota Fortuner is a bit smaller in length and width when compared to the Prado. The Prado hasn’t gone through major changes from its predecessor.

The new 2016 Prado comes with a new front, side steps, and 18-inch alloy rims as well. The New Toyota Prado has a length of 4760mm and a width of 1885mm while the Fortuner has a length of 4705mm and width of 1840mm. The height of the Prado is 1,845 mm while the Fortuner’s height is 1,850 mm.

Interior:

The New Fortuner and the New Toyota Prado have a completely new interior. Toyota Fortuner’s interior is much improved even though it is based on the Hilux platform. The interior and features in it depend entirely on the variant you select.

The Prado has interior is more spacious and comfortable. Some of the features in the high-end model of the new Toyota Prado are; heated seat, 7-inch touchscreen LCD, reverse camera and 17 speakers audio system, multi-information display dashboard, climate control and a multi-functional steering wheel.

The High-end model of the New Fortuner comes with features like; leather seats, power seats, 7-inch touch screen LCD display, multi-functional steering and more. The boot space of the Prado is 742 L while that of the Fortuner is 716 L.

Engine:

The New Fortuner comes with 5 engine variants. The new 2.4 2GD engine generates about 111 kW (149 hp) at 3400 rpm of power. Though the variant that comes in Pakistan will most likely be a 3.0L 1 KD series engine. The Prado on the other hand also comes with 5 engine variants. According to Pakwheels.com Listings, the Prado is available in the 4.0 L 1GR-FE V6 Dual VVT-I (petrol) and 3.0 L 1KD-FTV VNT I4 Common Rail D-4D (Diesel) engines.

Both cars are great in looks. Though the Prado is bigger than the Fortuner. The price of the New Fortuner is expected to be between PKR 4.0 million and PKR 5.0 million while the Prado costs about PKR 20 million.

Karachi University is famous and well-known for almost everything. Sprawled over a massive area, it houses multiple cultures and ethnicities. However, among the things that attract the students most is the varsity’s colorful variety of snacks and foods.

From snacks, junk food, juices and to a proper meal, Karachi University has something for everyone. The list of mouth-watering and scrumptious food items is endless. Since the campus is a city in its own right, it is very easy to get lost inside. Therefore we have compiled a guide to the famous food places from around the university and the best items to try there. Have a read.

Pharmacy – Kachoriyaan

I am sure that everyone who’s been to Karachi University must be aware of the crispy, golden, Kachoriyan. The scrumptious delight served hot with Aloo Curry and carrot achaar early in the morning is better than breakfast at any expensive restaurant.

Prem Gali (PG) – One Bite Samosas

Even those people who have not had the pleasure of studying inside Karachi University know of the very famous one bite samosa. Tiny as they may be, they sure are delicious. The extra crispy outer layer with mashed potatoes inside; a perfect amount of spice and chaat masala on the samosas. We dare you to have just one.

Visual Studies – Fries and Elaichi Chai

Chicken Flavored fries with chutney’s of various flavors are absolutely the best items available at this tiny cafe near Visual Studies. Pair it with the hot Elaichi (cardamom) tea, and you have a winner. The duo is so popular that the area os always filled with students around the clock.

Visual Studies Canteens also have various other tempting food items and juices including Zinger, Gol-Gappy, Chaat, Roll, Fresh Juices and much more.

Sufi Hotel – Parathay

Sufi is a proper hotel located near the Faculty hostel and staff residence with a decent seating area. Situated in a somewhat isolated area, you will enjoy eating almost everything there. From Anda Gotala, Daal and Karahi to Junk Foods like Zinger, Crispy Burgers, and Shawarma, Sufi Hotel will provide you with a snack of your choice.

However, the hot and crispy Parathas are the best. Order a plate of Channay ki daal with them and munch away. Sufi’s tea is also well-known among the many other food items available there.

Pharmacy – Crispy Pizza Donut

Whether true or not, but Karachi University’s Pharmacy canteen calls itself the first to introduce Pizza Donut in Pakistan. While there’s no innovation to it, the taste is something you’ll remember for long. The super crispy bread layer on the outside with fine flavored chicken and gooey cheese on the inside makes it an absolute masterpiece.

To top the item off, there is a mayo-garlic sauce along with chili garlic sauce and ketchup. Pair some lemon or garlic flavored fries with it and you will certainly have the most palatable plate of the day.

Juice Center – Thick Ganna Juice

Juice Centre is the campus’ cheapest and the finest juice canteen. You can find the juice of any fruit you want cheaper than other canteens or other famous juice outlets. While the variety is great, Gaane ka juice is the most famous among all. Regardless of the season, you can grab a glass whenever you want.

Majeed – Biryani

Who doesn’t love Biryani? While there is no shortage of biryani centers here, Majeed’s delish and a fiery hot plate of Biryani outdoes them all.

Mentioned above are a few of the specialties of Karachi University’ Canteens. The list is endless; Zinger Roll of Pharmacy, PG’s Chicken Chutney Rolls, VS’ Chaat, Chemistry’s Fries and Pharmacy’s Tea just to add few more to this list.

Karachi University is the place to be if you love the street life of this city. You get a completely new experience, such as sitting on the floor, enjoying food, on wooden benches at Dhaabas. Nothing matters when you have a plate of some really good food in your hand. The best part is, you don’t have to worry about safety at all!

It is truly exciting to move to a new place, whether it is a hostel in another city or one in an entirely different country. We tend to believe that our lives will be a lot better in every single way once we shify abroad to work or study.

However, things are never as they appear to be, and suffice it to say that the journey is not always a smooth one.

This couldn’t be more applicable than to those planning to travel abroad to further their studies, or for a job. It can be bothersome at times, but it should be one heck of an experience.

So here is a list of expectations we all have when we move abroad, versus the reality of it all.

We bet those Pakistanis who are already having a taste of life abroad, will be able to relate to all these points!

1. You don’t get to party as much as you’d hoped.

Believe it or not, you’re not going to be much of a party animal. Those moments of relaxation will be few and far between. What you are going to be doing is studying, or working. Or both. Lots of it.

Expectation: YOU’RE GOING TO PARTY EVERYDAY.

Reality: WORK, BRO. LOTS OF IT.

2. You will have to work your finger to the bone for every last dollar.

How many dreams of becoming a multimillionaire have been crushed; how many hopes of swimming in cash have been dashed!

Expectation: YOU’RE GOING TO BE SWIMMING IN MONEY.

Reality: YOU WILL SWEAT FOR EVERY DOLLAR.

3. You will experience a cocktail of emotions.

People claim they all ll go through phases of emotions when they settle abroad. The truth is, you’ll experience a whole range of emotions, all at the same time. You may even feel bipolar at times.

Expectation: TOTAL GRIP OVER YOUR EMOTIONS.

Reality: ON THE BRINK OF BEING BIPOLAR.

4. The word ‘culture shock’ will be an understatement for you.

You knew there would be some noticeable differences between your home country and the one you’ve moved to but… this much of a difference? No way!

Expectation: I KNOW THINGS WILL BE A LITTLE DIFFERENT.

Reality: AM I STILL ON PLANET EARTH?

5. Understanding people will be a whole lot harder!

Just when you thought culture shocks were all you had to deal with, along come language barriers. It can become very difficult to understand what another person is trying to say. Certain gestures you used back home could be very offensive in your new country.

Expectation: WE’RE ALL GOING TO GET ALONG LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE.

Reality: OH. MY. GOD. YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT.

6. Everyone isn’t going to be nice to you just because you’re a foreigner.

Don’t expect people to cut you some slack just because you’re new to their land. In fact, prepare to make some enemies along the way! You will meet a bunch of great people, but you will meet a bunch of lousy ones as well. We just ask you to prepare for the worst.

Expectation: PEOPLE WILL BE NICE TO THE NEWBIE, DUH!

Reality: GO BACK TO YOUR HOMELAND, IMMIGRANT.

7. This may not be the best time in your life, but will definitely be one in which you learn the most!

People falsely expect their times abroad to be the best they have ever experienced. For some, this could be true, but if you spent a large portion of your time being homesick, maybe these moments won’t be the most enjoyable. However, they will be amongst the most memorable!

Expectation: I WILL LOVE EVERY MINUTE THERE.

Reality: ‘KNOCK, KNOCK.’ – LIFE

8. The food might take some time getting used to… especially if you have to cook it all yourself!

If you’re used to eating home cooked meals (conveniently cooked by somebody else) three times a day, get ready for some major changes including… making your own meals.

Expectation: MEALS WILL BE EASY TO COME BY.

Reality: YOU WILL DEVELOP UNIQUE COOKING SKILLS.

9. Hoping for the best, planning for the worst

As you begin living independently, you’ll learn to actually do what you saw being repeated in every detective story ever composed: making plans A, B, and C. Whether it is taking extra copies of your passport, or carrying spare undergarments – you’re going to have to think of worst case scenarios and arm yourself accordingly.

Expectation: WE GO TO B FROM A.

Reality: WE GO TO… UH OKAY, DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING. SOMEBODY SAVE ME!

10. Reverse culture shock

Okay, so you’re back in your beloved homeland now, but do you honestly believe you’re going to be let off so easily? Now you’ll experience reverse culture shock – you’ll take time to adjust to, say, driving on the wrong side of the road!

Expectation: AH, HOME SWEET HOME!

Reality: WAS HOME ALWAYS SO… UN-HOMEY?

1. LADY DIANA

The princesses of hearts, Lady Diana went through a tough battle with bulimia after her fairy-tale wedding with the Britain’s Prince Charles. For the world, she was a beautiful wife and a doting mother of two, but behind close doors she was consumed with insecurities about her body.

3. LADY GAGA

Seemingly, the songstress Lady Gaga was a victim of anorexia and bulimia since she was just 15. The Grammy winner was just beginning her career back then.

But eventually she came out of it and back in 2014, she revealed to Harper’s Bazaar in an interview,” I don’t have an eating disorder anymore, I am better with food.”

Her non-profit foundation “Born This Way” helps struggling teens to combat body-shaming, bullying, drug and alcohol issues.

4. DEMI LOVATO

Who knew the famous Disney star, Demi Lovato went through a long-term fight with Bulimia. Constantly chastised for being overweight, she gave in to the pressure of looking good in Hollywood and became a prey to the eating disorder.

Luckily, she received the right help and has been the happiest since then.

“Once I started taking care of my mind, body, and soul, I realized that I didn’t need to conform to what’s ‘normal’ and started to love myself”, revealed the pop icon in an interview.

5. VICTORIA BECKHAM

Aren’t we all in awe of the super good-lookin’ mommy, Victoria Beckham? But who knew she too experienced from both anorexia and bulimia.

In 2001, Beckham revealed in her autobiography “Learning to Fly” that while she was the singing sensation Posh Spice, she was badly struggling with anorexia. Living only on liquid meals, she was under constant strain of shedding pounds and suffered from a troubling self-image.

6. RICHA CHADDA

You will be shocked to know that the singer and actor Richa Chadda had quite a tryst with body shaming during her debut in Bollywood, causing her to be afflicted with bulimia.

“I hated myself, gained weight in a strange way and felt like a failure. Eating disorders are the best kept secret of showbiz.” she admitted during her Tedx Talks session.

But with the support of her family and friends, Chadda consulted a nutritionist who helped her develop a positive body image and encouraged her to eat as much as she likes.

While eating disorders are generally attributed to females, even men are not spared from it’s wrath. B-town’s perfectionist, Amir Khan is one of them!

During the rapid fire round in the popular talk show Koffee With Karan, Khan’s wife Kiran Rao exposed that the actor suffers from a weird eating disorder. Turns out, the PK hero is a compulsive eater and gobbles up everything when he is not on a diet.

Apparently, he had no trouble gaining up to 95 kilos for his tough look in upcoming movie ‘Dangal’.

8. YANA GUPTA

You won’t believe that the Indian supermodel Yana Gupta stuggled with a chronic eating disorder for 16 years.

The item girl starved herself in fear of getting fat and worked out relentlessly. Being paranoid about her looks left Gupta in bad health. Soon she started afresh by reading a lot on nutrition and diet.

Today, the actress turned writer is living a balanced lifestyle and penned her debut book on health and fitness “How to Love Your Body and Have the Body You Love”.

9. VEENA MALIK

Pakistan’s Queen of controversies Veena Malik hardly ever stays out of limelight. Two years after her exit from Bigg Boss, the actress spilled the beans in an interview to Dawn that she suffers from an eating disorder.

10. JUGGAN KAZIM

Chapli Kabab or Chappal Kabab is prepared with the spicy amalgam of beef mince with onions, tomatoes and green chilies mixed with coriander, pomegranate & cumin seeds, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, eggs, cornstarch and coriander leaves. Most of these articles are indigenous to this region.

Chapli Kebab is shaped in a flat patty and cooked in animal fat on a large horizontal griddle. The typical Pakhtun recipe also includes the addition of white flour in the material and the peppery taste of these kebabs is enjoyable for everyone. This is usually served with roti or Naan.

Shahid Afridi & Javed Miandad Controversy Goes Viral on Internet

Shahid Afridi has the charisma to stay in the headlines whether he is playing on the ground or talking on TV. Recently, the 36-year-old former T20 skipper found himself in a controversy with one of the legends in Pakistani cricket, Javed Miandad.

This controversy started when Javed Miandad slammed Afridi’s wish of a farewell match by saying that the cricketer is the kind of man who is ‘always after money’. To this, Afridi added, “Money has always been an issue with Miandad. That is the difference him and Imran Khan,” during the launch of ‘Cricket Corner’ by Daily Express’ Sports Editor Saleem Khaliq.

Afridi passed this statement while he was addressing a query while quoting Miandad, asking about his views about the statement claiming ‘that Afridi wants a farewell match only for the money’. This all happened after Boom Boom made a request to play a farewell match. To this, Miandad replied that Lala is no longer a superstar.

“Afridi is no longer in demand, which is why he his making such remarks. As far as the difference between me and Imran Khan is concerned, fans know more about it and they are the better judge.”

“Honestly, I am not desperate to get my farewell match. The love I have gotten from fans over the years are the biggest earnings in my entire career,” Afridi said while assuring his fans that he will continue to play T20 leagues in the near future.

“Afridi and his lawyers, after thoroughly watching clips of Miandad’s interview, have agreed to send a legal notice to Miandad,” the source claimed. “The notice will be sent on Thursday as offices will remain closed until Wednesday on account of 9th and 10th Muharram,” they added.

Mobile Services to Shut Down & Pillion Riding Banned on 9th & 10th of Muharram

The government has decided to shut down mobile services on 9th & 10th of Moharram, reports Express News. The decision to suspend mobile services has been taken in light of the security reasons in the city during 9th & 10th Moharram processions.

According to Express News, Federal government made the decision upon the request of provincial government and security institutes, in order to prevent any terrorist activity in the country on 9th & 10th Moharram. The service is to stay suspended until the Ashura processions end.

In other news, as SAMAA News reports, strict measures have been taken in Karachi to ensure security in Muharram processions both in Karachi and in other cities of Sindh province. Pillion riding has been banned since Saturday until 10th Moharram (Wednesday).

Besides imposition of a five-day ban imposed on pillion riding across Sindh, the government has also deployed several Rangers personnel and police in the metropolis. In addition to that, law enforcing agencies have also been put on high alert .

Connecting roads to M.A Jinnah Road have also been sealed with containers and along the procession routes, snipers have been deployed on the roof top.

CCTV cameras have been put up to closely monitor the procession routes. Aerial surveillance of the processions will also be conducted to prevent any terrorist activity in the country.

Sindh government has requested the Federal government to shut down mobile services on the 8th, 9th & 10th of Muharram for a specific time period all across Sindh. The request has been made to ensure security and prevent any kind of terrorist activity during the important Muharram days.

A meeting was presided in Karachi this evening by the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman who made the announcement.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Administration Department government has announced public holiday on account of Hazart Umar’s (RA) martyrdom.

The decision was made in the provincial cabinet’s meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak.

Whenever superstar Salman Khan and ace director Kabir Khan team up, they always give us a major hit. The Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijan duo is ready to work on another movie titled ‘Tube Light’.

While talking about his next project with Salman Khan, the director revealed that the film is going to be a mix of comedy, a little bit of drama and politics. While talking to NDTV he stated that:

“It is about a personal issue. Can’t talk about what exactly right now. Needless to say my films always have a political backdrop to them because that’s what excites me and I find real. So Tube Light also has a little political backdrop.”

He further added that the new movie will reflect the same emotions as Bajrangi Bhaijan did but with a completely different story line. With this new project, both Salman and Kabir Khan will work on exploring a perfect balance of emotional and humour.

The movie will primarily be based on Salman Khan’s journey of enlightenment, where he would be travelling from India to China. According to Kabir Khan, there will also be a Chinese element in the story (are we going to see some Chinese actress opposite Salman?) Let’s wait and find out.

Kabir also updated his fans and followers how he has been hunting for a perfect location to commence the movie’s shooting with Salman Khan through his Twitter account.

Mahira Khan Dropped Out of SRK Starrer ‘Raees’?

According to the rumour mill, Mahira Khan has been replaced in her Bollywood debut movie, Raees. Seems like SRK has succumbed to the demands of the Indian extremist party, MNS of banning Pakistani artists in India, amidst the rising heat between the neighbouring countries.

MNS, led by Raj Thackeray had called out on the superstar over the release of ‘Raees’, threatening the actor of halting the release of the movie unless Pakistani actress Mahira Khan was replaced.

Rumour has it that in order to prevent his movie from jeopardy, SRK has decided to replace Mahira Khan in Raees, reports Times of India.

In other news, producer Ritesh Sidhwani recently rubbished reports of the release of the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees being pushed; he re-assured that the movie will be hitting the screens on the scheduled time.

Considering the delay in the release of the movie, it definitely is a difficult decision for the makers of Raees. An inside source reported Times of India about the rising pressure upon producer Ritesh Sidhwani post the Uri attacks.

Some of the joint scenes of both SRK & Mahira were yet to be shot- few shots were on hold since Raees had to be released in January 2017 and SRK had two other projects (Dear Zindagi with Alia & The Ring with Anushka Sharma) that needed his time.

However, with tensions soaring between the two nations, it has gotten impossible to shoot with Mahira Khan. Raees makers are now desperately in search of a leading actress to replace Mahira Khan in less than two weeks.

“People suggested all kinds of solutions to the impasse, including shooting in Dubai. But it didn’t seem viable. Now, Mahira has unfortunately been relieved of her duties,” said the source.

Following the IMPPA’s ban on Pakistani artists in India, Fawad Khan’s scenes in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil might also be deleted.

According to the latest buzz, KJo was considering swapping Fawad Khan’s face with Saif Ali Khan in ADHM through face swapping technology. However, the movie is scheduled to release on October 28^th and therefore this seems impossible in such a short time span.

Saif Ali Khan was KJo’s first choice in place of Fawad Khan! Karan also considered Saif for the role of Aishwarya’s estranged husband in ADHM, however, things just could not work out and then Shah Rukh Khan was signed for that role.

While the reports of Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan’s replacement from their respective movies are rampant, any official announcement is yet to made.
