Erdogan’s message was direct and clear. He said, “Netanyahu has shown once again that he is the biggest threat to the security of the region.” With this, Turkey strongly rejected Israel’s recent actions and criticised its leadership.
Moreover, during the same call, Erdogan expressed his commitment to restoring peace and stability in the Middle East. His office emphasised that Turkey wants to stop the violence through diplomacy. However, they did not share further details from the conversation.
At the same time, Russia strongly condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Iran. On Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry called the Israeli strikes illegal. According to them, only diplomatic efforts can resolve the issue around Iran’s nuclear plans.
In its statement posted on Telegram, Russia highlighted Iran’s “clear statements” about following the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. Furthermore, Iran confirmed its willingness to hold talks with American officials.
Additionally, the Russian ministry urged the International Atomic Energy Agency to provide honest and clear reports. It asked the agency to offer “unvarnished” assessments of any damage caused by Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.
