As the fifth wave of coronavirus grips Pakistan, the demand and the roll-out of booster doses increase effectively. The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has responded to the need and has further reduced the age limit for a COVID-19 booster dose in Pakistan. Here’s where you can get it and what you need to know about it!
Important Things To Know
Before you get the booster does you should know you can select the booster’s brand. While you can choose between Moderna, Sinopharm and Pfizer, its application also depends on availability. One is required and encouraged to get it 6 months after their vaccination however if you have contracted coronavirus you should get it after 28 days.
In Todays NCOC session, age limit for booster dose has been further reduced. From tomorrow onwards, citizens over 18 years will be eligible for free booster dose of their choice. Booster (one dose) will be administered after 6 months gap from complete vaccination.

The booster can be of the same name as your initial vaccination and can also be different.

How To Register?
There is no formal process of registration. Here’s what you can follow:
- Walk-ins are welcome.
- The staff will verify your CNIC & PIN Code and confirm your entry into the NIMS software
- Your information will be updated.
- The staff will monitor you for 30 minutes after the completion of the jab
Thereafter, you can get a summary of your doses from 1166 and also get your new certification showing booster from Nadra!
