Pakistan March Into WCL Final After India For feit Again

Published on

Pakistan Champions reached the 2025 World Championship of Legends final after India refused to play. Once again, India skipped the highly anticipated clash. Therefore, the semi-final between the two teams did not take place.

Soon after, WCL issued an official statement confirming the decision. “We respect the India Champions’ decision to withdraw from the semi-finals, and we equally respect the Pakistan Champions’ readiness to compete. Taking all factors into consideration, the match between the India Champions and the Pakistan Champions has been called off. As a result, Pakistan Champions will advance to the final,” the WCL statement said.

Despite full efforts by the organisers, India did not take the field. They ignored the neutral and secure arrangements. Instead, they cited political and diplomatic tensions as the reason.

Earlier, India had also refused to face Pakistan in the group stage. Back then, WCL awarded India a point. However, this time, WCL handed Pakistan a direct win.

As a result, fans missed the tournament’s biggest fixture yet again. The excitement surrounding the high-voltage match ended in disappointment. Still, Pakistan continued their march to the final.

Throughout the tournament, Pakistan played with dominance. Led by Mohammad Hafeez, they maintained an unbeaten record. So far, they have defeated Australia, the West Indies, England, and South Africa.

Meanwhile, the Indian team packed their bags and left the tournament. Their journey ended without facing their arch-rival. Consequently, their campaign ended quietly and without resistance.

At the same time, Shahid Afridi observed everything from the balcony. Lala stood calmly while the Indian squad exited. Truly, the aura of Afridi spoke louder than words.

Now, Pakistan waits for the winner of the Australia vs South Africa semi-final. That match will decide their opponent. The final is scheduled for Saturday.

Last year, Pakistan narrowly missed the title. This year, they returned more determined. Clearly, they aim to lift their first WCL trophy.

Despite missing the legendary Pakistan-India clash, the journey stays intense. Pakistan continue to dominate the field. Therefore, fans remain hopeful for a grand finish.
