Countries have imposed a lockdown were malls, schools, shops, businesses are to remain closed, and offices are only allowed a few essential personnel. Women have resorted to self-care and even cutting their hair in some cases since a visit to their favorite stylist and salon is not possible during COVID-19.
L’oreal Paris’s latest campaign featuring Eva Longoria
During this quarantine, we have seen some out-of-the-box creative advertisements from brands all over the world. This time, L’oreal Paris’s latest campaign featuring Eva Longoria is making waves all over social media for all the right reasons! In this never before seen advertisement, the Hollywood diva is seen dying her hair with a box of L’oreal’s home hair color kits priced at $9 in an ad for its Excellence Creme hair range.
Eva Longoria as never seen before for L’oreal’s Quarantine Campaign – with grey hair!
The brand has taken great care in maintaining social distancing for the ad as it has been filmed by the actress herself using two smartphones in her own Los Angeles home. The agency McCann Paris provided Longoria with remote direction through Microsoft Teams.
The short ad shows the superstar with grey roots, “I’ve never been this grey in my life!” she exclaims. This has to be something people have never seen. It takes great courage for an actress to bare it all to the world, perhaps this is what has made the campaign a great success already within a few days of the video being aired. The video then goes on to show Eva coloring her roots with the L’oreal Excellence Creme range kit, she also puts on the conditioner, then blow-dries her hair herself too.

Eva Longoria spoke in a press release from L’oreal and here’s what she says:
“It’s a challenging time for everyone right now as we try and juggle all of our responsibilities and the needs of our loved ones, but it’s also important to remember to take care of ourselves. In this commercial, viewers can see how easy it is to get expert results, and the confidence boost they deserve while at home. Self-care is self-worth, and now, more than ever, we are all worth it!”
