Changan Automobile showcases a new micro electric vehicle, the Changan Lumin, which features a new LOGO. Built on the Changan EPA0 platform, the new EV under Avatr will be Avatr Lumin Corn which is going to be a mini electric hatchback.
Lumin EV Variants
Ads reports released by the Chinese media, the company is launching the two variants of mini electric Avatr Lumin Corn. One is powered with a 35 kW LFP battery from CATL that generates 48 horsepower and has a range of up to 210 kilometres. Meanwhile, the other consists of a 30 kW LFP battery from Gotion Hightech that generates 41 horsepower and has a range of up to 150 kilometres. Both variants will have a top speed of 101 km/h.
An animation video is doing rounds by the Changan Lumin Corn on its official social media channels. The quirky details about the car’s exterior and interior are available in the video. There are two doors, four seats, circular LED lights, pop-out door handles, and engine push start.

An infotainment screen, an LCD metre, a climate control system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and more deck the car’s interior.
Wuling Vs Lumin Corn
The opponent of this car is undoubtedly Wuling Hongguang MINIEV, as can be seen. Wuling Hongguang MINIEV ranked first in the new energy vehicle sales list in February 2022. According to relevant data, 26,116 units were sold.

Besides the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, Changan Lumin Corn will also compete with other Chinese electric hatchbacks, Chery QQ Ice Cream, Chery eQ1, and Baojun KiWi EV.
Many people have praised the automobile for its low price and compact design since its release. Its official price ranges from 28,800 yuan to 50,600 yuan at the moment. Using this as a benchmark, Changan’s “glutinous corn” should have a similar end price.
