Summer support initiatives for delivery riders

Karachi, 30 July, 2025 – foodpanda, Pakistan’s leading online delivery platform, is strengthening its dedication to the well-being of its rider community with a comprehensive suite of support initiatives designed to help them stay safe, healthy, and comfortable during the hottest months. Recognizing the vital role delivery riders play in connecting customers with their favorite meals and groceries, the company is dedicated to ensuring their well-being. This summer, the company has rolled out a range of programs focused on providing relief from the heat, promoting hydration, and offering access to essential amenities.

Recognizing the challenges posed by the summer heat, foodpanda distributed Summer Kits to riders nationwide. These kits were thoughtfully curated to provide essential protection and relief, including reflective bags, neck covers, wet towels, water bottles, sunglasses, Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) by Osmolar ATCO & SOIS, and sunscreen and saniderm by Uniferoz, all to ensure riders felt protected in the heat. Among the items, the caps and sunglasses proved to be particular favorites, offering immediate and practical relief from the sun.

In addition to these practical provisions, foodpanda also focused on creating enjoyable and refreshing experiences for its riders. In a delightful collaboration with pandamart and Walls, foodpanda celebrated Ice Cream Day, offering riders a sweet and summery treat to beat the heat. Furthermore, foodpanda organized Movie Days for riders across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, offering a relaxing escape from their daily routines and a chance to unwind in a comfortable environment.

foodpanda also emphasized the importance of accessible support at key locations. All foodpanda hubs, resting stations, and pandamarts have been equipped with essential amenities, including readily available water and refreshing juices, ensuring riders have access to vital resources whenever needed. The company also installed water coolers, offering a variety of refreshing cool drinks. Routine checks are being conducted at vendor rest stations to ensure they have access to basic necessities.

“Our riders are at the heart of everything we do, and their safety and well-being are our top priorities, especially during the challenging summer months,” said Ahsan Malik, Head of Logistics, foodpanda Pakistan. “These initiatives are a testament to our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and comfortable environment for our riders. We believe that by looking after our riders, we empower them to continue providing the excellent service our customers rely on.

These initiatives reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to its rider community. By providing essential resources, promoting health and safety, and creating a supportive environment, foodpanda aims to empower its riders and ensure they can carry out their responsibilities with comfort and well-being throughout the summer months. foodpanda remains dedicated to continuously evaluating and enhancing its support systems to ensure its riders feel protected, valued, and appreciated.
