The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has said that the national men’s hockey team will skip the Hockey Asia Cup 2025 taking place in India. The event is happening in Rajgir, Bihar, from August 27 to September 7.
The PHF said this choice was made because of safety concerns. They said their players’ safety and respect come first. Even though the Indian government was ready to give visas and other help, the PHF thinks the bigger political situation can’t be ignored.

Since Pakistan is out, Bangladesh will take their place. This keeps the tournament’s eight-team format as planned. The schedule stays the same, with Bangladesh taking the open spot.
