As the last quarter of the year speeds by, it doesn’t look like winter is coming around anytime soon. As temperatures begin to soar, Karachites now have to gear up for another week of extreme heat.

According to weather experts, a weather system moving towards the Arabian Sea from India is going to cause scorching temperatures in Karachi. With minimal sea breeze, the weather in Karachi is set to hit around 38 to 39 degrees starting tomorrow and will continue for an entire week up to the 13th of October.


Pakistan Meteorological Department Director, General Dr. Ghulam Rasool has confirmed that temperatures would rise in the country next week.

The City Met Director, Abdul Rashid mentioned, 

“Weather is expected to get warmer in the daytime from Saturday and the mercury may touch 40 degrees Celsius, either on Saturday or Sunday.”

The spokesperson of the Pakistan Meteorological department –Abdul Rashid said:

“There will be a moderate heat wave condition in the city during this period,”

The metrology department has also reported that there are no chances of rainfall for the next two weeks.

The citizens are requested to keep themselves fully hydrated during the time to avoid getting sick due to the heat.  People are advised to stay indoors and avoid going out in the sun.
